This place is gross especially during the week. Had chicken that was underdone and gave me food poisoning. DO NOT GO HERE.

Three stars for the food, five stars for the vibe and ambiance. equals four stars…read more Super disappointed with the food. I had the chow mein, with chicken added. $30. It was an ample portion, and it didn't taste bad, but it was very dry, and the chicken was sparse. I would not recommend it as a main dish, but rather one to share. Bummer. My friend had the orange chicken. He liked it. I tried it and thought it was way overcooked. Again, he liked it, I say, nah. We had potstickers for an appetizer, and they were actually really good, and the sauce that came with them was perfect. The service and the staff were excellent. Bravo to all of them!! It's pretty dark in there, and I like it. So dark my camera flashed when taking food photos, and that doesn't happen often. You might need to turn your flashlight on to see the menu so have it ready when you go there!! haha!! They have a couple of bars, and this is where I think this place shines. To me, it's a great place to meet someone for a drink. Not a meal. Maybe a drink with an appetizer. I was there on a Tuesday night, and it was packed. People love this place. Lots of people in groups celebrate birthdays, or whatever. The energy is good. Everyone looks happy!! I've been wanting to go to this iconic restaurant for a long time. Glad I went. It's checked off my list, and I'm one and done. Still, I think it's a cool place.

All their weekday lunch specials come with hot & sour soup and an egg roll. I had to get their signature spicy orange chicken which is tangy and perfectly crunchy on the outside and tender on the inside. It's seriously such a great deal with the amount they give you. Even their dim sum items are discounted during lunch too so I got all my favorites like shumai, radish cakes, green onion pancakes, string beans, and even the rainbow xiaolongbao sampler which is basically Russian roulette for you to guess the flavor of each. But the real sleeper on the menu are the sweet & spicy corn ribs. Love the nod to the Asian taste profile, and it's sooo satisfying to eat! Thanks for reading! ^-^

I've been coming here for the past two years, and their quality is stayed consistently high, if not even improving! They also have an amazing cocktail menu (which is more unusual for dim sum spots) and weekday lunch special menu from 12-3 PM, which features select dim sum and traditional Chinese dish combos at VERY affordable prices (all under $20). Honestly, everything I've tried on every visit has been AMAZING, but I highly recommend asking your waiter for recommendations and specials, since I've been able to try so many new dishes that I probably wouldn't have ever ordered. I'd seen posts with rave reviews at Cochella only to be utterly disappointed, underwhelmed and overcharged for some of the most basic food. There is no parking, I'd scouted the location before and opted for a Saturday early afternoon where there would be street parking over $7 valet. There was hardly anyone in at the time we went so parking was not an issue for two cars. Let me preface that I and half Thai & I've had Thai food all my life, all over LA & in Thailand as well as my mother being born & from Thailand who can make 1/2 these dishes at home, but we went for atmosphere & easy clean up. We were a party of 7. We ordered, the Little Lao Platter which came to the table lukewarm. It was made it seem like it could feed 4-6 people and the up charge of $225 over the $150 if ordered online was because you'd get more food, hardly seemed like it. I ordered it to be enough to give everyone a taste of several dishes and order more if they liked it. I think more effort went into presentation, rather than it coming out hot. The Pad Thai, chicken, beef rolls, papaya salad, & chicken were decent, but I've had better for less it was NOT worth the price. Why it got cold so fast I don't know. We also ordered yellow curry with the signature "blue" rice" which I didn't realize there was no option for the non blue rice over regular white steamed rice. It was an extra cost for rice as it did not come with it. I thought the blue rice was more of a dessert thing and I didn't particularly like it paired with the yellow curry which was good but again the blue rice threw the flavor off. Our server was nice, but he was slow for a Saturday lunch with barely anyone there. He took a while to take our order, forgot drinks and took a while to come back & forth. The ambiance was as pictured, it was pretty & we sat outside, but again almost all the food came out practically cold with the tiniest of portions, not for foodies and not enough for chuds. Also served cold was the calamari, the beef larb that we ordered, with the "blue rice" doesn't pair well with more savory dishes. Several people in our party ordered drinks which were nothing to rave over, one even tasting like pickle juice with tajin on the rim. I can't remember what drinks were ordered, it was that forgettable. We also ordered Thai Tea, Thai coffee and some yuzu drink, which as a side note you will have to drink fast before your paper straw falls apart They were kind enough to offer an alternative drink and be accommodating. At the end $533 was spent with a 20% added gratuity to the bill. The overall experience was absolutely NOT worth it and I would never go back. We were all still hungry, grossly disappointed and unsatisfied. I not only would I not go back, I wouldn't suggest it to anyone that I liked. So many positive reviews, did we come on the wrong day? Was it the cook? Why the vast difference in experience? If the food was better, the servings were bigger, steamed rice was an option, the food came out hotter than the sun burn your mouth hot like you'd get anywhere else, it would've warranted the cost. I'm 100% down for paying for good food, it's not about the price if it's good, but this was not it. There was nothing memorable about going for the first and last time. We opted out of any dessert as you could get better mango with sticky rice at a food stall in Thai Town or Wat Thai of LA and it would've tasted better and cost less. The graduation lunch was a bust, and having suggested the restaurant I had to do so much apologizing for everything especially the highly overpriced mid food. I expected more and was so disappointed.

We started with the Roti Paratha, which arrived warm and flaky alongside a rich curry dipping sauce. For shared plates, we ordered the Bali Sea Bass and Stir Fry Water Spinach. The sea bass was beautifully prepared with layers of spice and aromatics, plus just enough heat to keep every bite interesting. The water spinach arrived sizzling at the table, adding to the experience and making the dish feel fresh from the wok. For noodles, my son ordered his usual favorite, the Mie Tek Tek, while my daughter chose the Mie Ayam, which she thoroughly enjoyed. To drink, we had white wine, Terra beer, and a Thai iced tea that came with a cute presentation. There was a small hiccup when our beverages were forgotten, but the staff handled it well and kindly comped our appetizer, which we appreciated.

I ordered the server's top recommendation -- the Nasi Bungkus -- and it did not disappoint. The beef and chicken were so tender and flavorful, paired with fresh vegetables and fragrant rice. The sauce was absolutely delicious, with perfectly balanced seasoning. A must-try! Excellent Customer Service, clean restroom & restaurant accepts apple pay. Small parking lot
