I came to try market chicken at the grove/farmers market because I love rotisserie chicken. The service was great, and food was fresh and tasty. While it was not my favorite rotisserie chicken I've tried, it hit the spot for me. I would give it an 8/10. I also ordered a side of beans which I enjoyed and the potatoes, which I found a bit too oily and hard for me liking. My boyfriend got a wrap and wasn't too fond of the sauce used. I try to dine at a different place every time I visit the Original Farmers Market in L.A. It can be difficult trying to decide what place to eat at because there is such a variety of options here. I was craving something on the light side for lunch and stopped here at Market Chicken. They have a variety of chicken, salads, wraps with some side choices on their menu. They also roast whole rotisserie chicken fresh daily. The combination choices included white or dark meat and your choice of breast, thigh or wing. I think what I was really drawn to here at Market Chicken were the side choices. They have black beans, veggie rice, roasted veggies, etc. Almost all of their side choices sounded pretty healthy. The rotisserie chicken here is very good. The ambiance being that of Farmer's Market is also very good. The service leaves a lot to be desired as they try to upsell you all the time rather than fully meeting your needs. They mostly just stand around instead of doing something. The green sauce is very good but the sides aren't good at all. I made the mistake of getting sides last time and I very much recommend against getting anything but the whole rotisserie chicken. The sides and service both leave a lot to be desired but the rotisserie chicken alone is worth the 4 stars I give. Thanks read more

Think about a bird slightly bigger than a Cornish game hen. The "roasted potatoes" must have been roasted yesterday. Slightly warm , very rubbery, as if they had been sitting around a while. Mixed greens fine, just bland with 2 halves of a cherry tomato. Like from a bag you get at the supermarket. The green sauce was the best thing. The wrap was likewise bland and uninspired. The roasted veggies, however, were a disappointment. It looked very dry and bland, and while it wasn't bland, it didn't really add to the meal either.
