Was assured that there would be no material delays. Last communication was 1/18 and that the material was due to reach the harbor 2/21 and that installation would be 7-10 days later. I've emailed them twice and haven't received a return email confirming that the material arrived. Meanwhile, they've received 51% deposit (over $5,000) when I placed my order and still no response from them! If I knew it was going to take 4+ months, I would never have placed an order with 3day Blinds! If I could cancel my order, I would. Very dissatisfied customer! read more

If you are looking to install BLINDS GO SOMEWHERE ELSE: 1. The design consultant walked all over my brand new rug in my brand new house with her shoes. It's a PANDEMIC, and I am advanced in my PREGNANCY; what happened to shoe coverings like other companies have their service reps wear ? 2. The design consultant neglected to tell me that they are called 3-DAY BLINDS because THEY AUTOMATICALLY CHARGE YOU THE CUSTOMER TO EXPEDITE SHIPPING FOR THE BLINDS (SO YOU PAY FOR THE CLAIM TO BE 3-DAY BLINDS). They don't explain this, they just put it in the total they quote you. I had to call her out, an told her to take it off; and after she adjusted the quote minus the shipment it showed that they were charging me almost double the cost. 3. The design consultant came to my home 11/03/2020. They gave me a time frame for installation between mid-November 2020 and Thanksgiving Day. I said to her realistically why even include Thanksgiving Day, knowing well that that is not even an option for the installation date? She, also said that I have 3 days to cancel. Then sent an email on 11/08/2020 after the 3days cancelation period had passed; only to say they weren't able to do anything until possibly DECEMBER 2020. 4. When I saw the email with the change, I made numerous attempts to call them to cancel, all to no avail. YOU CAN'T GET ANYONE. I sent an email and told that the new date would be too late, and to cancel. Only to get an email saying that my order "...has already been produced and has shipped to the installer. Jansen Services has left a message for you to schedule the installation appointment. We are unable to cancel the order at this time as it is beyond the 3 Day cancellation period. " I NEVER GOT A CALL. WHEN I RESPONDED STATING I WAS GOING TO DISPUTE, I GOT A CALL LIKE A WEEK LATER TRYING TO TIE ME INTO AN INSTALLATION DATE. 5. I needed these blinds, because my front door is glass and see through and anyone can see into my home at night. It's already day-lights savings time and its dark long before 6PM. I am alone, my husband is on a deployment and I simply couldn't wait that long. But, once they have your money they will not let it go. We have had a horrible experience with 3 day blinds. They've messed up on measurements both in the original order and when re-ordering shades to fix the problem, and now won't resolve an issue with two blinds that don't work properly. In addition, they put holes in our woodwork in multiple places that we now have to repair and repaint. I've had to follow up repeatedly as no one even tried to reach out and ensure that between the designer, the installer and customer service that our issues would be resolved. We've tried to be super patient and understanding given all of the challenges with Covid-19 this year, but the misinformation we've been given and the lack of communication and f/up means we won't ever use them again. Typical start, if I could give 0 stars I would. Ordered blinds in March, made the mistake of paying for them in April. After installer installed dining sliders in April, he realized that the living room sliders were incorrect. Said that he would notify office and it would be resolved. He never notified the office, so I called them. Issue was escalated to case manager. To make a long story short, dozens of emails and phone calls, multiple visits by installer, I have blinds on my slider that are incorrect, a valance sitting on the floor in my den because they can't find the hardware, case manager will no longer take my calls. The credit that I was promised has never posted to my credit card. Worst customer service that I have EVER experienced. I cannot select a true rating as there are no zero stars on this site. Absolutely the worst consumer experience I have ever had and it's still continuing. Back in April I called for an estimate for blinds on 1 set of big sliders, 1 set of small sliders and a small window blind. I only used them because I had a good experience with them in CA. Guess what, that did not carry over to Florida. First of all believe NOTHING they promise. The 3 Days means you have only 3 days to cancel the contract. So if the blinds arrive and are not as promised or, in my case, do not fit they tell you that you signed a contract and they belong to you. Incidentally they are very quick to charge your credit card for any remaining balance. At the beginning of May after trying the local telephone number 3 times and it being out of service the installer contacted me. The installer hung one blind and it didn't fit, there was a huge gap on each side and I had specifically requested and made sure that the customer rep understood and it was in the paperwork, I wanted room darkening blinds. I told the installer well that wont do, I can't accept that and he agreed they were not what I ordered. He measured the rest and said, "these wont fit either, I am just going to take them back". After several exchanges with the local office, I was told that someone would come and remeasure and bring an installer and they would correct the problem. Nobody ever confirmed that or came. The next thing I know I am dealing with someone in CA who informs me she is the case manager and she will be investigating and will be back in touch. Never happened. She never responded to emails or voicemails but does send me photocopies of the contract. Next, I received a call from a man who stated that he was a higher level manager and would be taking over my case. Again no responses to calls or emails. No follow up. I managed to stop the charges on my credit card and the credit card company launched an investigation which 3 day blinds did not respond to so the charges were eliminated. The next strategy was to threaten to deliver the blinds to my house and if I did not accept them they would not install them, Seriously folks, why would I accept blinds that don't fit and pay almost $5,000. Sure enough a few weeks later, I came home and they were dumped on my doorstep, 3 large boxes weighing 75lbs. I called FedEx and sent them back. The calls and threats have continued and it is now October, and surprise today they again had them delivered to my house and dumped on my doorstep. FedEx picked them up a couple of hours ago. How do you stop this sort of behavior from a company? How do they expect to generate more business and have people trust them? It is becoming a nightmare and I am stressed out and disgusted with the whole process to the point that I am consulting legal counsel. At the end of the day, turnaround (about a week, which is superb) and quality tilted the scale in favor of 3 Day Blinds. Scott Cahill, Home Consultant (Fort Lauderdale location) presented several different solutions and came prepared with all sorts of design samples. He was professional, easy to work with, and was able to provide enough of a discount to match Budget Blinds proposal. This place was fine initially however when one to the guaranteed parts failed, I called a sales person and she said she would order a repairman to come over within 24 to 48 hours. It's one month later and no one has called and when I call I am put on hold for 30 minutes, then the call drops. The roller shades were reordered, only to find out the color had been discontinued. After another color was selected, and delivery delayed only to find out they are on back order. After reading some reviews we quickly set up an appointment for a consultation for blinds and drapes installation. It definitely got off to a bad start after scheduling our appointment online we didn't receive any confirmation. So we called the follow up with no response the first time, but finally got a response the second time. This was the sign we should have just cancelled. Our consultant Paul Fernandez showed up and wow was he a class A jerk. He came into our home and just walked in and used our bathroom. After he was finished using our facilities he talked to us so condescendingly. When asking him a question he said he's a "interior designer" so you should listen to what he says. Ok if he's an "interior designer" how come he doesn't know if the fabrics are poly or silk or even the difference in the types of fabric. Asked him if the fabric was Shantung and he's like what? Be prepared to be schooled by someone who can't even tell you what your drapes are made of. Haha hope he didn't pay too much for his degree. During our consultation he was annoyed by any question you asked. Probably because he didn't know the answer, but they were basic questions. Why can't your consultant give us a breakdown of what we asked for? It made no sense. After deciding our consultation was over he immediately asked for money. We had to ask him what the price was. He rattled off some numbers and asked for a deposit. Ok. I would like to get a written quote so we could review and he said just give him the deposit or the work would not begin. Umm...I don't want to start until you give me a written quote. How else would I be able to tell you are giving me what I want? After insisting we get a written quote he just stormed off. Didn't say bye. Didn't say sure I'll send it later. NOTHING. Mind you the deposit he asked for was over 10,000. Went to their website. They have positive reviews posted that are dated with tomorrow 's date. Today is the 28th. They are for August 29th. Unethical company with very poor quality products. I can measure and install blinds better. I tried them and I am very disappointed in the quality and the measurement as well as the installation. The installer had to be told how to fit the valance. He was installing the brackets for the blinds in the wrong spot. His appointment was for 2:30 pm and he showed up at my gate at 9 AM!! No respect for your time! What if I wasn't home? Very unprofessional! I paid over $500 for two 36" x 60" blinds. I wanted 2-1/2" routeless slats. They have holes everywhere. There is a big space between the blinds also. The blinds I had there before looked like one big blind. You never could see the window frame with my old blinds. That's how well I measured when I ordered them. These look like blinds from Walmart. We placed an order with three day blinds for a total of five roller shades and gave a 50 percent down payment. Our installation was scheduled for 7/22. On 7/16, we got an email, informing us that the products we ordered will not even be shipped until SEPTEMBER, so we understood the installation was not going to happen on 7/22 and was going to be very much delayed. Therefore, when we got an "installation reminder" from 3 day blinds yesterday 7/21 that an installer will be arriving on the originally scheduled day 7/22, we were very surprised. My husband called the company to ask them about the conflicting information. The person he spoke to was surprised but apologetic about the confusion. This is an example of the right hand not knowing what the left hand is doing - not good for a business. And, even though there is a big delay in the expected services, the remaining "balance due" has already been charged to our credit card. This is our second time using 3 day blinds and the design consultant, Michele, whom we found to be courteous and knowledgeable, but we are using them by default because they bought next day blinds that we had been using over the years. Please everyone, look at the 1 star comments and consider them seriously before proceeding with this company. We moved into a new house and ordered 3 day blinds, it has been a nightmare ever since. The blinds came and they look good, no doubt about that. However, they left one room off the order and getting that fixed has not been pleasant. We paid extra to have them delivered early (one of their little tricks), we're still waiting three weeks later with no resolution. So much for paying extra for early delivery. Additionally, one of their contractors (they outsource installation) came to install the additional blinds. They did not have the correct blinds again and when I refused to sign for what they did not do, the contractor threatened me. I was actually threatened in my own home by their contractor. He said he would remove blinds until I signed. Luckily, I was bigger and younger than him and when I stood up he left. My young kids were home at the time and had to watch this exchange. When my wife called to complain and ask for a manger, they hung up on her. In sum, we have been threatened in our house by their contractors, hung-up on by customer service and now I've been on hold for over an hour to get this fixed, but hold times are longer than normal.... We ordered shutters and had to choose between outside or inside installation. We weren't told that if installed inside window frame we couldn't get our windows out for cleaning or installation. We knew we had one window to install when 3-day installer came and asked him to make it a temporary installation so we could take the shutter off when our window was ready to install. The installer didn't listen and installed them with staples. Also, we were promised temporary shades so our living room furniture wouldn't bleach out. These never arrived. It took a month before the shutters arrived. When it was time to install the window I contacted 3-day's customer service to have the shutter removed. I was told this was cost $167 for removal and $167 for reinstallation, even though the permanent install was their fault. After about a month of phone calls, they agreed to split the cost with us. Meanwhile we have plastic taped over the window in our bedroom and it's cold, cold, cold. Then the rains came. I kept calling and calling to get an installer out but was told somebody in "service" named "Norman" would contact me. I had already paid them the $167.00. After THREE MONTHS I called and threatened to go to the BBB, every social media I know, and get in touch with a supervisor or the CEO. Two days later an installer called and we took our the shutter, put in the window, and replaced the shutter, all within 10 minutes. We are unhappy with the fact nobody told us about the problem with inside installation. We are VERY UNHAPPY with the time it took for 3-Day Blinds to respond to our request. We will have to repaint the window inside due to water damage. GOOD LUCK if you ever have to have them out to fix or repair anything. Their warranty is a joke. 1/18/2017 Well, after this bad review, I was contacted by Joe, who is in charge of media relations. He was truly sorry about the miscommunication all the way down the line and we talked at length about everything that happened. Mary McCurdy was our home consultant. She spent so much time with us deciding on blinds/shades/drapes and we ultimately decided on one thing-cellular shades. We're cutting our install in half for affordability, but it was about 2.5 weeks from order to delivery. Unfortunately the first set arrived incorrect (all light filtering) but a quick call to customer service and a correction of the paperwork led to a replacement in just over a week. The install company used had 3 rooms up in 15 minutes. Mary has impeccable measurements. We're very pleased. We wish 3 day blinds would carry Serena by Lutron. They us Somfy and it is LOUD. I purchased thousands of dollars worth of blinds from 3-day-blinds. The blinds came into two separate orders. The first thing you need to know that you are paying for shipping and installations costs which is where your bill will double. The blinds themselves are cheap but with the fees they become pricey. Most of the installers know what they're doing but some are completely clueless. I had an installer come for the first part of the order with no problems. The second guy however ruined the trim to my door. I have sent emails and pictures to 3-day blinds customer service and they took over a week to answer to me because I was being persistent. They finally reached back letting me know when my new parts of my order would come in since the second installer ruined them however they didn't even mention to he installers about fixing my trim or even offered me any type of discount. They even put the blinds in the incorrect place of the home, and the blinds are even labeled which is ridiculous. This company is just looking to make money and absolutely does not care about the customer needs. Now i have part of my door trim missing installers calling to come put up the new parts unaware of the situation at hand. They are very unorganized and completely will leave you hanging with any issue you have. I would recommend going to another blind shop. Shop around and find cheaper reliable ones. Until the quotation stage I was like very very surprised with price it was DOUBLE that I would get the similar product. Nick said the 10% discount only applied until yesterday if I decide to get it. The person that measured gave us the price breakdown. The install was to be over $400. It took one person about 1 hour to install the blinds. When given the cost initially I assumed the installation would take a few hours and probably require 2 people. The installer being paid $400/hour? When I questioned this I was told "you saw what the charge was to be". Also shipping charge was very high - I am sure much mire than the actual cost to 3 day blinds. Since then 3 more have come off. It took 3 months for them to repair valance. they do not contact you in any way as to status or repair. In April one blind cannot be raised up and down. This was my first time using 3-day blinds and I'm very happy with the results! When I initially scheduled a consultation there were plenty of times available. Our salesman, David Ralls, called the evening before to confirm (much appreciated), and during the appointment he was prompt, knowledgable, and made sure all of our needs were met. He didn't try to oversell or undersell, he was patient when we changed the color about 20 times (who can choose between eggshell, ecru, off white, and natural?!? they're all so DIFFERENT ;) , and it really seemed like he knew their product inside and out. He estimated that our blinds would be installed within a week (you can pay more, apparently, to have them installed sooner) and unlike other reviews he absolutely nailed the timing. I would highly, highly recommend David! The installation itself was quick and painless - the installer showed up, installed our blinds, and left in an incredibly efficient manner. Couldn't ask for better service. I'm only giving four stars out of five because of corporate policies - not the local service. First, the pricing doesn't seem terribly concrete (see reviews about them being expensive) and they insist on putting their branding on the blinds - which admittedly isn't too noticeable, I'm far happier with them than I thought I'd be - but is still obnoxious for a service that charges a premium. read more
