Had a flight...Blueberry Wheat(different and very light), Porter? I barely know her(good and solid), Brown Noser and Mint Chocolate Stout. Both really good. Using my handy dandy yelp app after watching the sunset on the beach last week, I wanted to spend my last day of vacation with my cousins and some good beer. 3 Keys is a brewery that has a kitchen but no waiters taking orders at the tables. The rules are clearly defined, and you'd have to be an idiot to complain about something that's explained on a chalk board the second you walk in as well as signs all over the place. At the end of every table there's a stack of menus, a pad to write down your order, pens, utensils, napkins and every condiment you'll need. Go up, order a beer, sip and look over the menu, write down your order, walk it up to the bar, and in a reasonable amount of time they will bring your food out to your table on the most interesting plates. Everyone is different and it reminded my of Sunday dinner at my grams house because she never had enough of the same pattern of China for everyone. I had an amazing mushroom Swiss burger with a side of bacon! Ohhhh yummy delicious bacon I might add! The sides are different too. No fries, but coleslaw, chips etc. I really enjoyed the punch in the mouth ( or something like that) IPA. The atmosphere is laid back and local. If I lived in the area this place would be a regular spot for me. My cousins live by and passed by it all the time but never thought to stop until their beer snob CT cousin (me) came to town. this was the worst dining experience of my life - which is saying something since I've eaten in all kinds of places throughout the world. The staff, with the exception of Kira, were beyond rude - they were hostile. One server bringing out the tacos (jason) flipped out on my wife, yelling and using foul language because she ordered by the number and didn't know exactly the title of her taco,; the same server told my brother to shut up, after my brother asked him not to speak to my wife that way (I was in the bathroom when this took place) When I returned my wife was gone and my brother visibly upset. I tried to find a manager to speak with, but there was none to be found. I told whomever I was speaking with that I was disturbed by the servers behavior. The individual didn't have any eye contact with me. When I asked that he have eye contact he proceeded to take off his hat, turned his head, continued to avoid eye contact and proceeded to dress me down. He took my credit card, swiped it and then told me to get the F*^k out of there. Really. Who does that. Where did customer service go. And the food was as miserable. The tacos cold, the pizza cardboard and the beer meh. Stay away from this place. read more

I have been here a couple of times now- and really like the atmosphere and beer. They have a lot of choices for every beer lover and offer wine for those who don't love craft beer. Fun, family and dog friendly environment with activities (darts, games, trivia, bingo, etc). The food is really good and worth the trip. Giant Pretzel with beer cheese! The reason for 4 instead of 5-- the chairs are uncomfortable (high top and hard on your back) they only have a few low chairs which makes it hard for people with back, neck, knee or hip issues. read more

The staff was amazing. From the moment we walked in the owner made us part of the family. I have never been treated this way, I felt amazing and the beer and attention WOW. Found this spot while driving to Sarasota from Orlando to visit family. Lucky they were open late on a weeknight. We stumbled in on a wild bingo night. Seemed like they have multiple events like bingo and trivia scheduled but the staff were very casual and laidback (dancing to pop music) and enjoying themselves. Seemed like a lot of guests were regulars here. I tried a flight and ordered the bourbon burger. The waitress recommended their burgers and tacos. I would say the burger was fine but not great considering it was recommended. Could be improved with toasted bun and fries as a side option. I would try tacos next time or a flatbread which looked good. They had a nice variety in beers. I can't remember exactly which 4 I tried but they were good overall. I was in a rush to get to my destination so I didn't try more but would have liked to. read more

Love love love everything about 3 Keys. The atmosphere is so friendly and welcoming and I love that they make it so family friendly. They have a healthier take on pub style food and everything I have had here has been delicious! Nothing is fried which to me makes it way better tasting. Well, things started out pretty good and then went quickly downhill. We started with the beer cheese dip & a couple of beers. Beers were great, beer cheese was very tasty. Then we ordered our dinner; my husband ordered the buffalo chicken waffle sandwich. There wasn't a whole lot of buffalo sauce on it but it was quite tasty nonetheless. I ordered the bacon blue cheese burger. It came out with no bacon on it and the chili I ordered as a side was stone cold. We had a hard time getting anyone's attention to advise of this so I ended up eating most of the burger as I was hungry. None of these were served with napkins, we had to ask. When we tried to inform the attendant behind the bar she said "oh, so you just like to complain" because I didn't want a replacement she offered. Really?. I have never been treated that way by a server before. The guy behind the bar tried to be apologetic and removed the burger from the bill, but they've got a long way to go for customer service. With 4 people behind the bar, it shouldn't have been that hard to get someone's attention for service. They have food runners who come out and call your name until you claim your food. We will give one more chance in a couple of months when they have time to figure it out. I will update at that time. read more

We had been told to try out 3Keys by a fellow beer geek and do we decided to stop in the Sunday of Memorial Day Weekend. There was trivia going on, not sure if this added to the chaos, but really the problem lies with the way the place it set up to order food. We sat down the the very long bar and ordered a couple of flights and then a beer each. see wanted to order food but at this point, there was a line at each end of the bar to order food, the only place you can do that, and so basically everyone sitting AT the bar was ignored. We had to flag down the bartender who promptly got a bit of an attitude and slammed the number on the bar and so we felt that we needed to keep our order simple. Honestly we feel that the owners should pay a visit to Funky Buddha and see how they handle their food ordering (done by a completely seperate staff). The beer was good, but the service definitely disappointing. read more

I ate here for Father's Day. The ribs special was delicious. The au gratin potatoes had a great texture, you can never go wrong adding bacon to anything, but it added a lot if flavor to the green beans, and ribs had a great sauce perfect char - fell off the bones! I'm a brown beer fan and really enjoyed both the Brown Noser Trust Issues Brown. The BN was a little more smooth, while the TI was a little more hoppy, and both were full of flavor. Oh, lest I forget, big props on the pulled pork waffle sandwich ask for a side if BBQ to add that additional smokehouse flavor. The staff was friendly, the food was quick, the music was old school, can't help but dance to, feel-good funness (yes, that's a word, get over it!). 3 Keys is worth the trip!! read more
