Original poke bowl with fresh cilantro, seaweed, jalapeño, etc etc!
    Andrew A.

I use to think Jus Poke in redondo beach had the best poke in the South Bay. Then I was introduced to King Poke and was blown away. The way the poke is prepared here is top notch. Super fresh fish in their original poke bowl (salmon, tuna, white fish) with the toppings of your choosing. So damn good! The portions are more than fair. The staff have always been kind and courteous willing to answer all of your questions to make sure you're getting exactly what you want. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Place isn't very big inside, but there're a few tables if you want to dine in.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They make a simple and perfect spam masubi as well. The next time you're craving a poke bowl, and if you haven't tried King Poke, do yourself a favor and get in there!

Wrote them a great review the first time, but sadly the second time I paid $20 for a large bowl plus 20 miles each way in gas and was shocked. I ordered as soon as they opened so they were well stocked. Large bowl was mostly salad with no clear signs of avocado. Eventually I found one miserly piece that was so paper thin it dissolved inside the bowl! For $20 I've gotten poke bowls with 1/4 of an avocado elsewhere. The store tried to claim it was because I didn't order extra avocado. The first time I did not get extra avo and a respectable albeit modest slice was definitely there. This time I dug underneath the lettuce and still mostly salad. Store offered, "extra avocado next time." Also there was not much noticeable difference between a medium and large bowl (or at least what I thought I got was large?). I got tendon cuts of fish and maybe 5 garlic chips (you can buy a whole bag of the kind they use for like $3 at Trader Joe's BTW!). PS The girl working the cash register does not greet/acknowledge customers and is needlessly surly every time. Come to think of it, my first time here she was blatantly impatient when taking my order even though I told her it was my first time. Maybe she's family and can't get fired or something. Pretty over-the-top rude. I usually give second chances, but have lost my verve and will not be back. Huge disappointment. For comparison, you can get $12 worth of a bowl packed with tuna at Bristol Farms. Just add your own entire avocado for $1.50 . Service is also better.

I've ordered a few times and also picked up. The poke is very good considering we're not on the islands. They have three sizes, their choices for toppings aren't a lot but are the traditional for Poke. After choosing your size and the toppings, you can get it as spicy as you want. The rice is almost perfect like sushi rice and seasoned/flavored good. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I noticed a lot of people order out and don't choose to dine in. We did, as it was great to chill alone and enjoy the meal.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The prices are reasonable and not too expensive, as like other poke eateries further up PCH. Anyway, Enjoy! We did.

The best place for poke bowls! I've tried so many other places and none of them come close to what you get here. All the ingredients are fresh and there are what seem to be endless combinations you can create. Service is great, that staff is always friendly. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant itself is a little small but always clean.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Highly recommend King Poke!

Small poke bowl with all tuna. Rice and noodle salad base. Creamy sesame sauce and fried onion, cilantro and seaweed topping.

One of my absolute favorite Poke spots in the South Bay! There's no other poke establishment that allows you to completely customize your bowl from your base, toppings, sauce and fish! They have special sauces that I can't find anywhere else. Creamy sesame and Korean spicy bean paste being a couple of them! Love the options for the bases, sushi rice or noodle salad are my go to's! Can't go wrong with their fried salmon fish tacos too. This place needs more traction, truly a hidden gem here in the South Bay.

My boyfriend and I were in the area looking for a no frills lunch, and I dug through my bookmarks and we found King Poke. They are located in a small plaza with a private parking lot, but there is street parking if the lot gets full. Their Original Poke Bowl comes with tuna, salmon, albacore, white fish and masago so you don't pick your protein like at other places. It also has cucumber, imitation crab, onions, avocado, green onions and sesame seed unless you opt out. My boyfriend had a Medium ($13.75) and I had a Small ($11.75). I opted out of the onions and green onions. For my base I went with half brown rice half salad. I opted for the ponzu and spicy mayo sauces. You get 3 toppings, and I went with fried onion, fried garlic chips, and wonton chips. There was plenty of small tables in the restaurant, but not well maintained. They had AC on, but it was still a little not cool enough. Food came out with a reasonable wait time. The poke was good value. I would prefer to pick my own protein but for a bowl of similar size in my local area, it would cost significantly more. We agreed it was a decent no frills spot for lunch. I would consider it if I was already in the area, but not something I would go out of my way for.

Supposed to be a large poke bowl but there's barely any poke and 3/4 full of rice. Center is where the rice came up to.

Used to come to this place a lot but it seems the portion has gone down while the price went up. Ordered a large poke bowl but the amount of poke was like the size of a small. 3/4 rice with less than a scoop of poke is just not what you would expect for a large size. Time to find a new place

I would say it was delicious. I would recommend a medium to be satisfied. I would say they put a lot of flavors in there. It's preset so you don't choose what you want in it. I ordered through uber eats so I wouldn't be able to say how fast they prepped it. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I didn't go there either so I can't say if it was busy or if the location was small or big.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Second time trying this place, first time was last weekend lol That's how good it is! 10/10 on freshness and good flavors ! TBH can't beat the price either, also the customer service is amazing, &!they are fast! And can't beat a stamp card!!!

There is ramen sold on sundays and mondays -- it's a one man shop, but it's probably the best ramen I've had outside of Japan. Definitely the best ramen in LA.

Was craving Poke and decided to go somewhere nearby. This place is great but the serving size is so small. I got a medium and I thought it was a small bowl. Whatever was in my medium bowl could definitely fit in a small bowl. We also got the glazed garlic shrimp plate! Very good on seasoning and the sauces but a little overcooked. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Other than that, cool place. Very nice people![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Wow! This is some very affordable poke. Will say the location itself seems a bit more on the sketch side but maybe that's just my thought. I got a small and medium poke bowl and the total came out to only $25. This poke place is a tad different than the poke where they make in front of you. You tell them what toppings you want and they make it in the back and call you when it's ready. Ingredients selection is pretty decent, not the most but it's reasonable. In terms of quality I thought it was good. I tried out the spicy tuna bowl which really hit the spot. It had all the components I'd like in a poke bowl. My wife got the regular poke bowl with ponzu and the fish itself tasted good but idk if we like the ponzu sauce, it was errr interesting. Overall I liked this spot because the fish was pretty fresh and it was a very reasonable price. They have stamp card where you get 1 free medium bowl with a drink after 15 stamps (2x stamps if you order from 4pm-8pm). Parking - Shared lot with a few local restaurants nearby, it's a pretty small lot not sure if it ever gets full.

I love coming here for poke!!! The fish is always fresh & the toppings are soooo good! I could eat here every single day. The service is always amazing and quick. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Inside is always so clean, I like to eat right then and there for maximum freshness and deliciousness![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Love it here!

I usually kill this but I mostly ate the ginger look how much ginger is my side

We also had to try their Crispy Masubi and this was fantastic. I've had many deep fried masubi versions and this was much nicer than those. This was the best breaded type of masubi I've had. Parking can be challenging depending on when you go as they share a plaza. I sort of stopped going here a few months ago after they discontinued their Saturday special of buy one pound of poke, get one pound free. That deal definitely made it more worthwhile. For the Poke bowls, select your bowl size, pick two from the four or so fish choices, a base (rice or salad), and for most bowls a side or two. After several visits, my experience has been fine each time. Good quality fish and fresh sides. There are also some plate options where you can select Huli Chicken or Kalua Pork. I've tried both the chicken and pork (though not on the plate option), and both were excellent. This location used to be strictly take-out, but now there are two tables inside if you'd like to sit inside. I feel compelled to mention that when I recently visited this location, they had a health grade of B from LA County displayed in the window. Yelp shows that they had 14 health code violations on September 18. I was a fan of their El Segundo location but I believe it is gone. This place had about 5 or 6 different fresh poke styles available during our visit. We tried the Hawaiian, the Creamy Garlic Crunch, and the Sweet and Spicy. We also ordered the Chips and Smoked Ahi Dip, and the Huli Chicken Bowl. I think I loved everything. The Creamy Garlic Crunch poke was especially amazing. It had a slight spicy kick to it and it was rich and delicious. The chips that came with the dip were obviously freshly-made wontons and I could have eaten a hundred of them. The dip was good but not as flavorful as I had hoped or had in the past. For the chicken bowl, the rice and cucumbers that came with the chicken were excellent. You get a ton of mac salad and it is excellent. The chicken was solid, too. Unless they are hiding in plain sight, the places that just sell fresh poke, without the bowl, are few and far between in Southern California. I love poke bowls, too, but sometimes the poke by itself (with the different sauces and seasoning) is just incredible. This spot serves delicious fresh poke and I will always be a fan.
