Nut allergy friendly for what I ordered. I ate at Territory almost every night that I stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn, in-person three times and a to-go order once. Time to order varied from 10 minutes (first day lunch) to 25 minutes (busier dinner evening). Over the week I stayed, I ordered: Cod Tacos (3/5): I ordered this once in person and once to go. Not quite sure why, but the style of sweet potato fries changed every day. The first day were my favorite during lunch, crispy and the crinkle style. The Cod Tacos were always a bit weak, with only two served on some bland-stale taco shells, but the pico and fish were decent. To-go was worse because the fries steam up and get soggy, and the blandness of the taco shells gets worse. Classic Cheeseburger (2/5) I asked for well done and got well burned. Ended up taking the top bun off just to make it edible unfortunately. At least the ingredients were fresh. Daz-Tini (5/5) This was maybe one of the best espresso martinis I've ever had? What? The espresso vodka and Demerara worked together excellently. A rich real coffee note and mellow but roasty flavor. A really solid drink and I'd definitely have tried their old fashioned if I was having another. Food alone 3/5, it's a decent option to use the Hilton Diamond F&B credit Drinks 5/5, a really pleasant surprise. Overall rating 4/5 for being a hotel restaurant. read more

Wow! Staying at the Hilton Garden Inn downtown , and yes restaurants in hotels are generally over priced , weak staff and substandard food ... BUT I discovered that this place has the most delicious salad I have had in a while . It's the blackberry salad and I added chicken ! Holy cow was that shit fabulous! The staff ( shout out to Alex ! For starters, let's talk about the well-stocked bar with creative, talented bartenders and fresh, artisan ingredients. I'm staying at the hotel it's in and I've had three great experiences. The Street Corn dip with wonton chips was delicious (cilantro micro greens are a new favorite), the Cod Tacos were fresh and tasty (the accompanying fries were crispy perfection), and tonight's cheeseburger and Caesar side salad were over-the-top. The Caesar dressing is house made with delightfully deep, tangy flavor and the burger was absolutely one of the best I've ever had, with house made pickles and sauce, and farmers market-fresh lettuce, tomato, and onion. Great experience for breakfast and dinner while staying at the Hilton Garden Inn it's affiliated with. In the morning, their breakfast tacos were fresh and loved the pico and avocado they were finished with. For dinner had soup and a Shareable of a Burrata dish that was like a salad of mixed greens with crostini for the burrata. Loved it. Soup tasted homemade. Would definitely go back. read more

It is a small place inside a hotel which can be assessed from outside. They are open for dinner and have a full bar. Staff is friendly and pleasant. I ordered grilled salmon with rice and it was delicious. Salmon was juicy and tender, rice pilaf was fluffy and tasty (a little too oily for my taste). Vegetables were nice and tender. It was pretty good for $20. I did had their cheeseburger yesterday and it was great too. One of the bartenders recommended cheesy flatbread, which I'm ordering soon. Update: I ordered cheesy flatbread. It was crispy and cheesy. I would add a little bit of oregano and garlic to a tomato sauce. Otherwise it was great. I love their cheesecake with fresh fruit. So I'm staying at the Hilton Garden Inn as part of a tour group -- I'm the group's tour manager. After working a few hours at the Welcome Desk, I decided to pop in the bar for food as it's 95 degrees outside, and even though 16th St Mall is 2 blocks away, it's just too hot. They have a very LIMITED "small plates" menu. I opted for the chicken tenders because I thought how could you go wrong with chicken tenders? It's a classic comfort food. Well, my tenders were VERY hot (temperature-wise), I practically burned my thumb upon picking one up. The breading is not typical of what you'd think of when it comes to tenders or strips -- this one was very thin, almost lacking even. The ranch sauce tasted like Hidden Valley Ranch or general store-bought sauce. You'd expect it to be house-made or at least invest in a high-quality ranch sauce. Nope. And the fries, which by the way don't come with the basket, were SOGGY! So I basically was upcharged for very depressing fries. You know when you pick up a fry and it wilts, limps, and just dangles in your hand. Yeah, seriously no bueno. Territory, I have no problem with the limited menu, but at least do WELL what little you have to offer. read more

I visited because I got a free meal coupon while staying at the Hilton Garden Inn next door. I walked in for a Sunday brunch to an empty front room and a roped off bar. I made my way around the corner and made myself comfortable in a booth after I saw some other diners. Roughly ten minutes later, a nice woman walked by, apologized for the late greeting, explained that the restaurant was short staffed and that she was the only person working the floor. Then she asked if I wanted anything to drink. I ordered an orange juice and asked for a menu. The server told me the restaurant wasn't cooking off of the menu and suggested I try the breakfast buffet. Hey, why not? The buffet was a standard hotel restaurant breakfast buffet. Low budget eggs, bacon, sausage and potatoes with salad and fruit options. Bagels and toast were available. I don't remember if pancakes or waffles were offered. The server stopped by a couple of times to check on me, however when I went to pay she was nowhere to be found. Since my coupon was my payment, I left it and a tip on the table, so I could return to my vacation. This restaurant is convenient for its location, especially if you're staying at the hotel next door, however I hope it pays attention to its staffing and food quality issues. Don't bother. I am a guest at the hotel and came down to grab a glass of wine before heading out to dinner. I sat down at the bar, the bartender acted like she was put out that she had to stop sitting down away from the bar and serve someone even though there were 2-3 other people in there. I asked for a menu, she was put out again, handed me a food menu. I apologized and clarified that I was looking for a drink menu. She gave me a menu and said "that's only specialty cocktails." I asked if they had wine and she just said "yes." I asked what kind and she was like, lots, I don't have a menu. Okay...red? White? Rosé? Is it one box? One bottle? One type of each? Can you tell me literally anything about them? I didn't ask those questions, I just asked if there was a place I could eyeball the selection. She huffed at me and opened six different refrigerators to prove her point and was like, what do you want? Well I DID want a glass of wine, but wow I can go without. It's not an unusual question, especially for a large place that claims to have a kitchen and bar. Her entire attitude was absolutely terrible--talk about someone who hasn't spent much time in the actual service industry. It's not like I'm a wine snob--it's really not a weird question to wonder about what kind of wines a bar has. I won't be back and I will definitely let folks I know here to avoid like the plague. 5/15/2016- So glad this restaurant was located inside our hotel, Hilton Garden Inn Downtown. The décor is rustic and a little rugged with hard wood floors, upscale picnic tables, leather couches, Adirondack chairs, painted cow statues outside and some Colorado references. We came in for Happy Hour and sat at the bar. We have being eyeing these Elk Sliders for a few days. We ordered some local beers on draft (half off) and put in the order for Elk Sliders as well as the Pulled Pork Street Tacos. The Elk Sliders were colorado elk patties with dijon slaw, haystack goat cheese, mixed greens, tobacco onions. These were delicious. I liked the combination of the creamy goat cheese with the meaty elk. My favorite were the tacos, slow roasted carnitas with cabbage, cotija cheese and house-made mango salsa on soft corn tortillas. The carnitas were seasoned just right and the mango just added a nice sweet tangy flavor with the crunchiness of the cabbage. We also ordered a side of their Kettle Chips, must order these as a side, perfect side. Service was good. Our bartender looked like he was too tired to make conversation. Luckily, I had great company with my friends and we really enjoyed our time here. read more

In town for work at the convention center and Territory was right next to it, so I decided to stop in for HH. Good choice on my part! Their HH menu is great. I chose to mix things up and try a couple of different items along with an Epic IPA beer. I ordered one of the elk sliders, one street taco, and an order of the sweet potato fries. Stopped by here from about 3-5 PM on a Friday and had a great experience! Happy hour is active and runs from 3-6 PM. It includes $3.50 draft beers, $4 wells, $4 wine, and $$4 sangria. They have some food options (e.g., tacos, cheesy tots, meatballs) that range from $7-$8. I had a glass of the sangria and it was delicious! Bobby (bartender) came up with the recipe and it has fruit, wine, brandy, and many other ingredients. I like it when the house sangria is truly made in house! I also got the Southwest Salad (essentially a chicken Caesar salad) for $13 and a side of tots for $5. The staff was friendly without being too much. And it was nice, warm, and bright inside. His reply was, he blended all the ingredients together. If so, wouldn't it be green. Being spinach and jalapeños. Ordered the pork chops. And it's raw. Last night I had a horrible dinner. Come back tonight to give them another try. And, yes. It's confirmed. They need a new chef. Last night dinner, shrimp scampi with Linguini and buffalo wings for appetizer. The shrimp was advertised tiger shrimp, not. The linguini was about four bites. And soaked in butter. The shrimp was small and over cooked. The buffalo wings was burnt and frozen quality, dry. No taste. Not fresh. Wish I had took pics. I'm here in Denver for business and staying at a Hilton branch. And this restaurant- Territory is in the Hilton Garden Inn and Suites. One of the worst dinner place ever. I would have to say. For those who gave this restaurant a four plus stars. I want to know, did you have one drink to many. The staff here is awesome. The chef needs to go. Oh, try the breakfast. Worst ever. Eggs were powder mix, grey sausages are dry, potatoes are tater tots....really for breakfast. We decided to eat at the Territory Kitchen and Bar since we were staying at the Hilton Garden Inn and it is located in the lobby. We arrived at 5:30 and the bar was packed. Being located on the corner of a busy intersection probably helps but I must add that the food smelled delicious. Buzzing with noise, the bar was full and lively. We opted to sit in the dining room which had a variety of seating options. We sat in a booth as it's easier with the kids. There was a nice balance between the bar and where the dining seats were located. You couldn't hear what was happening in the other room. Our server was attentive and helpful. There is not a children's menu but he did suggest other options. We ended up with a flatbread cheese pizza and chicken fingers. These items were each $7. I ordered the Caesar salad which about half way through, I asked for an additional dressing. The lettuce was crisp, the dressing was because of my own personal preference. The cost was $10. My mom ordered the shrimp scampi and she loved it. Her meal was $17. Overall, the meal was great and so was the service. Overall this was definitely not a highlight of our trip. They had a wide array of hot and cold options to choose from, which is probably the only positive. The scrambled eggs were not only cold, but my colleague found a long brown hair actually baked into the eggs. I tried the shredded hash browns and they tasted like they had never been cooked and were literally raw potatoes. I had to spit them out because of the texture and taste. They had many other options, such as bagels, muffins, fruit, and cereal, that we chose since they did not require cooking and could already be served cold. read more

On my first night in town, I decided to stop by the Territory Kitchen and Bar since it was located within the Hilton I was staying at. Best decision I have made so far here in Denver. Service was prompt and friendly. However, the stars were definitely the dishes. I ordered the Waffle fries with ground elk meat and it was very tasty! For my entree I ordered the Buffalo Steak with Roasted Brussels Sprouts and Sweet Potato's, which pairs amazing with the House Cabernet Sauvignon. If I had to describe this restaurant in one word it would be, MEH. The service was slow and lacking. It's just a restaurant hotel, but at a Hilton I'd expect a little more than what we got for a $60+ lunch. My friend and I stopped by for a quick meal before the show we had that night and it wasn't a quick meal even though we got a sandwich and salad. You'd think for easy dishes we'd be in and out within half an hour max, but it was at least an hour. The place wasn't busy, so I'm kinda baffled why the service was slower than Gary the snail from sponge bob. Our bartender was a grouch. My friend asked about meatloaf as we didn't realize it wasn't available for another hour and she goes I'll give you more time to decide, if she wasn't in such a rush to go do nothing she could've offered another good dish. I ordered the rueben which was alright, but idk if it was worth $14. My buddy asked the waitress if the wedge was good and a good portion and she said yes, which was wrong. His wedge cost more than my sandwich and was a terrible portion. $15 for a tiny wedge with too much dressing and a piece of bacon cut in thirds. Downtown Denver offers a lot and I'm disappointed we wasted a meal here. Def won't be coming here again. I'll find a better spot around town next time. read more

I came here with a bunch of coworkers for happy hour this evening and was pleasantly surprised. To be perfectly honest, I really only decided to come here because of the painted cow statues outside--they are ridiculously charming and has thus earned Territory the nickname of "the cow place." This is more flattering than it seems. It was happy hour when we arrived so drafts were half priced. I had the Graham Cracker Porter and it was wonderful. The decor is very charming and rustic. The tables with benches for larger groups were a nice touch. It was fairly empty when we arrived at 5pm but had started to pick up when I left around 6. We stumbled upon this bar on a rainy afternoon during Happy Hour boasting the best HH in town. Once we stepped inside then we realized it's actually a hotel bar. Nothing agains hotel bars but it wouldn't be my first choice in downtown given abundant exciting options nearby. The menu does have some solid options for both food and drinks. The Rocky Mountain slider was by far the best executed dish. The pork taco lacked some flavor and kick. The Mediterranean flatbread wasn't quite what I was expecting. It resembled a plain frozen pizza you heat up in the microwave granted that it did have the creamy artichoke dip. It didn't quite do it for me unfortunately! It's a cool space with tasteful decor but the food needed a little more inspiration. I can see that this might be a convenient choice for hotel guests and convention goers. But if you're looking for something more unique, I'd recommend some place else...perhaps in Larimer Square or LoDo. read more

This is an adequate spot if you are by the convention center, but otherwise you can do better. We came in and the place was half empty, but when greeted we were told it would be a while because they had just seated a large group. We assumed this meant that it would take them a while to get our food and appreciated the heads up, but apparently it instead meant it would be a while before we were even seated. We stood there for a while waiting for the rain to quit / looking for somewhere else to go when eventually someone else came over and seemed surprised that no one had seated us. Service improved from there, but it wasn't a great start. Food was mixed. Portion size was good. The sweet potato fries were great. Flatbread was meh, the grilled Casear was okay (but served as entire wedges without a knife sharp enough to cut it), and the bison burger was not good. Drinks were decent. I realize we didn't order some of the things that other Yelp reviews are more positive about (e.g., the sliders (not currently on the menu; replaced with beef) and the tacos), so maybe we just ordered the wrong things. A tasty meal with large portions and friendly staff. My wife and I booked a table through Open Table and arrived a few minutes early - we had requested the small "private" nook table which a couple was just departing when we arrived. The wait staff didn't seem to know about our comments in the request (made through Open Table) but were very kind and accommodating; quickly cleaning up the private table and letting us sit. Our waiter was very friendly and helpful, it was not a busy night at all but he gave us just the right amount of attention. My wife ordered the Bison Burger and I ordered the Meatball Linguine (Beef + Bison + Elk). Due to dietary restrictions my wife asked for some things to be placed on the side (so I could enjoy them) which they did, they actually placed all of her burger toppings on the side which was a nice way to play it safe. The burger was very tasty, not dry, and though the bread didn't seem fresh-baked it was fluffy and delicious. The cheese may not have been gorgonzola - we're no experts but it definitely tasted like blue-cheese. We opted for sweet-potato fries as a side and they were crispy with a wonderful taste. The linguine was a huge portion! But the meatballs and venison sausage were fantastic - the sauce was good - and they brought me plenty of extra parmesan and red peppers to top with. It also came with two pan-fried pieces of toast which were a nice touch. For desert we had the "Seasonal Sorbet" which was Strawberry Lime and came with lots of large raspberries, blueberries, and a large strawberry sliced on top. It was relatively inexpensive, enough for two to enjoy, and a perfect pallet cleanser. My only critique is that the menu seemed a little too safe - I didn't really see anything that passed as a "special" dish, a way for the Chef to show off, or any kind of meal you couldn't get ingredients for from any old sysco foods order. Maybe this is because the restaurant is part of a hotel and possibly managed by the hotel. We weren't disappointed would have appreciated some more interesting dishes. read more

Their happy hour is about equal to full price everywhere else, and the rest of the food was just pricey in general. $7 for a bottle of local beer is kind of crazy. For $55, four people should not leave HH hungry and sober. There are also about 2 vegetarian options-not full meals, but any menu item at all.
