Angel Zuniga and his crew were excellent. They called ahead, arrived on time and were very flexible with my requests. Although we had several stops to pick up items on loan to friends, the crew were efficient and handled everything in less time than I expected. I will ask for this crew specifically on my next move and would recommend to friends. We moved into our new house June 1, 2019 and we had most of our stuff in storage from the year before that we also used 3 Men Movers. In June of 2018 they were very professional done an excellent job putting our things into storage. Different story this move. I told them I had two storage buildings gave them the sizes and everything. When they got to the storage building my husband said they were just moving very slow compared to the first movers (they just finished what they said was a big move 8 hr before getting to us) My husband called 3 hrs later and said they could only fit one storage unit in the truck, I spoke with the lead of the team and said I asked for a big enough truck to get both storage buildings in it and he would have to go back and get the other building. Well, that didn't happen. They arrived at the new house and started unloading our things my husband mentioned several times about the fragile heirlooms I had and to treat them as so. Well, that didn't happen a curio cabinet I have had for over 32 years the mirror glass on the back of it was shattered, the guy tried to tell us it was already broken. (NOT TRUE) Good news on that I filed a claim and they have now after 2 months fixed the curio cabinet and it is back safe in our house where it belongs. As I was unpacking my fragiles to put back in the curio cabinet biggest parts of them were broken also, we had to super glue several items back together again, (discontinued collectibles) I am appalled by their work, as I am still unpacking I won't know what else was damaged in the move. I only hope and pray my Christmas items were not broken as they are very expensive and I will not be happy at all if they are broken. One of the movers told me I shouldn't pack my things so heavy as it was hard on his guys. Hello I'm paying you to move things and the first set of movers had no problem taking it out of the old house and in storage. The next thing he informed me was if you want to give us a tip don't put it on the paperwork just give us cash. I was like are you serious, and he kept taking breaks and they could had finished an hour earlier if he hadn't stopped every 5 minutes to talk to us we didn't pay them to socialize with us. We paid over $900 for this service and it wasn't a great experience, we didn't get our second storage building moved. We had to do that on our own, ended up renting a truck and getting it done. To top that off they decided to stop by a gas station and take a break on our dime. I have no issue with them getting drinks but don't charge me for it. That was another 30 minutes. When I asked to be reimbursed for the last hour I was told no they would reimburse 15 minutes. I will stress our first move with them went great leading to why we used them this time. But, I have to say all in all I will never use them again. So if you have valuables that are priceless move them yourself or don't expect to have them in one piece when they arrive. read more

I had a very good experience with 3 Men Movers. It was such a relief too because my husband and I had done about six self-moves and we were dreading unloading our giant storage unit in to our new home. Everything went as smooth as can be expected from the initial call to the day-of. Our guys showed up on time, they were pretty careful with everything and holy cow were they fast. I mean they have moving down to a science with shrink wrap, multiple dollys and all sorts of stuff. We had to pay for a two-hour minimum but they took exactly two hours so it worked out well. We were just kind of in shock: a move that might have taken us two days took them two hours. Still not really over that one! We used 3 Men Movers to haul our stuff from Katy to Austin after I was offered a job back in central Texas that I couldn't refuse. I can quite honestly say that move was the only positive moving experience I've ever had and these guys were a big part of the reason why. We made the reservation for the move almost a month in advance, utilizing their "hump day special" for a Wednesday move. The night before the move they called us and I thought, "Oh no, they're canceling!" Not so. They were calling to ask if there was any way they could arrive EARLIER in the morning than previously scheduled. Uh, sure! The next day, they arrived five minutes before the new, earlier time. Never in my life have I had movers arrive EARLY. I mean, "early movers" is like "jumbo shrimp", am I right? But there they were. The speed and efficiency with which they loaded our pre-packed stuff into their truck was almost alarming. They made the drive to our new home in Austin without any issues, arriving a few minutes before we did (!!!), and unloaded our stuff with likewise alarming speed, putting everything down where we told them to. Watching them work so quickly, I was worried that something might have been broken in the shuffle, but everything arrived intact. This is long past due. Used these guys back in August, 14 to move. They are very punctual. Start at 8AM and done around 3. Total cost was $800 + tip. Only Complain...One guy carried my FlatSCreen by putting it on his shoulder and leanning it against his head...well...When they all left my screen has a blue screen around the spot where his head was. Talked to what his face manager..? he told me that i signed the waiver well aware of the risk...something something...oh well. Just realized I never posted this review. Wish I remembered the names of the crew I used...it was in August of 2012. This is the 3rd time I've used movers - other ones - and by far the worst experience. 1. They sent no confirmation email or call 2. Because they must have forgotten about us and didn't schedule it 3. When my husband called, the truck crew said they'd just been re-routed to us and were one man down 4. Crew showed up 1 hour late 5. 3rd man on crew was not professional mover - about as much energy and moving know-how as I have 6. The water I provided wasn't cold enough - I was asked to put it in the freezer because that's how cold he likes it (same guy as above) 7. When I called to see what size crew/truck was normal for our size move, JOE in sales said he had several calls waiting and no time to continue answering questions. Nice job Joe. Way to make a sale (never happen). 8. Nick the manager is supposed to be 'gathering more information' and calling me back...after 11 minutes on hold. Wow. Truly amazed at the carrying of a lawn chair and baseball bat ALL at once currently happening. Never again 3-Men. I get that quality control is hard when you deal with subcontracted crews, but the last guys I hired were 5 minutes EARLY, made it all look easy and had my head spinning with their speed and efficiency. Candidly, I didn't know whether to laugh or cry. Our crew was supposed to show up at 9:00am on Sunday morning. We'd received confirmation by phone and e-mail. At 9:15am we called the "emergency number" because their offices weren't open and our crew hadn't arrived. The operator was polite and let us know they'd get back to us. They called back about 10 minutes later to confirm that dispatch had not sent a crew out, but that they would get us a contract crew to arrive at 10:45. Never mind the fact that we had other plans late that afternoon, hence the 9:00am start time. The crew finally showed up a little before 11:00am. We're a little flustered, but not mad yet. It's a small 1 bedroom apartment that we're moving WITHIN the same apartment complex. This can't take too long, right? They start by parking their truck 200+ yards away because they "can't block cars," which is just inevitable at an apt complex; however, we were able to have some cars moved so they could park next to the apartment. It makes me cringe to see that some people had their stuff moved into a truck, transported to another location and moved into another place in 2 hours. It took nearly 2 hours for our team of 3 to get everything out of the apartment. My fiancée and I had already moved a handful of small things, boxes and clothes to help expedite the process. In the time it took them to get 3-4 boxes tied onto a dolly and down the stairs, I could've carried 6-8 boxes down. In fact, to illustrate how slow they were going, at one point I draped a few bags over my shoulder and carried 3 bags + 2 trash bags to the new apartment in the same amount of time it took them to carry ONE trash bag each. Every time I walked outside to the truck, they were all standing around as if they were strategizing their next effort. To be clear, these guys were very nice and had a professional demeanor. They weren't "jacking around," they were just REALLY slow. I guess that's the problem with paying by the hour; they're incentivized to go slow so that they can get paid more, especially if it's their only job of the day. You pay movers for the convenience of someone else doing it, so it'll go faster and so that with their experience moving they'll take good care of your furniture. Well they spent 8 minutes Saran wrapping a mirror they broke anyway, took a chunk out of our new wall, whacked the bed frame on the stair case, treated bookshelves like bumper cars and took 3.5 hours to move everything. All for the excellent price tag of $500+.tip. I'm attributing much of this to the fact that we had a contract crew; however, this is 3 Men Mover's fault for failing to send out a regular crew despite multiple confirmations. Normally folks don't drive around with a generator in the front seat, but alas I do. When I returned to Houston (of course yours truly does not bench press but only 20 lbs) that is approximately one handbag and contents, 6 or 7 pairs of shoes and a ball gown or 2. Suffice it to say, most movers do not want to do a tiny tiny job, without some form of congressional mandate and we know how Congress hates to work. Had used them to move 3 offices in the past and pleased with their services. Without a blink they sent two professionals to move the generator approximately 3 feet from car seat to garage floor. Now if someone can teach me how to use a generator will be prepared for the next hurricane, oh, I forgot there is probably an app for that, or I could read the book.. read more

I'm so impressed by the 3 Men Movers. my bf and I recently moved from our one bedroom apts to a new house. We originally hired Student Movers to do our move. We budgeted 4-5 hours for 1 bedroom and 1 storage unit (size of 1 bedroom apt) since they were in two different locations. Unfortunately, everything that could have gone wrong, went wrong. It was not my first time using Student Movers, but I was neutral about them until recently. Long story short, the movers (2 men team) showed up late, they took forever to wrap up my furniture, their truck broke down, the two men we had that day had no energy or moving skills. They knew as much about moving as I did. Our brand new house had dirt marks, scratches and dents on the wall because of that. It ended up being a 5 hour move, except we were only half way done. we were only able to finish my apt, didn't even touch the storage unit. So I decided to go with a different company for the second half of our move, and I'm so glad I did. I was originally hesitant because of the higher price. but the 3 men movers are so efficient that it makes up for it. The movers showed up 15 mins earlier than our scheduled time. They were moving so fast, I went to get a coffee and some water for them around the corner, came back, they were done loading things in their truck..We had a couch and bookcase going to the 3rd floor of the house, they didn't seem to even struggle with it. In the end, our one bedroom storage unit took all of 1 hours and 40 minutes for them to finish. the movers the moved the stuff into the storage unit was student movers, and they didn't wrap 90% of the furniture, so 3 men movers wrapped everything up. loaded and unloaded in under 2 hours. we finished our move at 9:30AM. Use 3 men movers if you are looking for an efficient and worry free move. I wish every moved I had was like this. and book early morning appt for guaranteed time. read more

I called for an estimate like their ad reports but They could only give me the one time payment of 81.00 and the hourly rate for 3 men at 179.00 an our. I asked how much time would it take just move to a storage facility right down the road and was told it would depend on what I wanted moved. I explained I was just moving the furniture and kitchen items and some linens but needed an estimate so I can budget my move along with my other expenses which all other movers gave me an estimate of the cost based on what I told them I was moving. Since they could not tell me it would take 2 hours of 22 hours I have no way knowing an estimated cost. Waste of my time and a poor way to do business for a senior citizen to have to guess the costs. read more

My fiancé and I used 3 Men Movers for our last two moves, and we have been pretty happy. Scheduling is easy, and because the company has multiple teams it's not too difficult to get a convenient time slot, even on popular days. If I remember correctly, it's an $81 trip charge plus $95/hour Mon-Thurs and $115/hour Fri-Sun. If you want them to store your stuff in the truck overnight, that is a $75 fee plus you have to pay the hourly rate while they drive the truck from your location to the garage. This fee of driving to the garage (which took about 45 minutes) wasn't made clear to us when we booked the move, but other than that we have not experienced any "hidden extras." All the movers we've worked with have been competent and polite. They arrive on time, they do what they say they're going to do, and the estimates are pretty accurate. The foreman has you initial the start time so they can't say they started earlier than they did. They also take credit cards, which is very convenient. The three-person team we had on our most recent move was not nearly as fast and experienced as the team we had the first time, but I suppose that's the luck of the draw. I wish I had written down the names of the guys on our first team so I could request them again--they were fantastic. This last time, two of the three movers were very young, and there was some trial and error involved in fitting things through doors and hallways (even when we told them the correct way to get items to fit). My advice is to go with a big, reliable company like 3 Men Movers. We and others we know have had bad experiences with smaller "businesses" that give very low quotes and then double or triple the charge once they have your stuff in the truck. Beyond calling the Better Business Bureau after the fact, you're pretty much at the moving company's mercy once they've loaded all your worldly possessions into their vehicle. read more

Now that I am back to my senses , just wanted to update my review before I lose it again. So , I give 1 star to the packing ladies and 5 stars to the moving service. The main reason I called the packers was because I wanted to pack my 47 inch t.v , a sofa and huge paintings. When the women arrived they told me that they don't do t.vs and its not in their contract , I was like "what? what do you mean? I was asked over the phone what I wanted to be packed and I said living room , what did you expect in a living room? buch of tooth picks and q tips? Obviously I called you to pack my living room". They just stood there with a weird look on their face and one women started calling back the main office and started arguging "da da you know we don't do t.vs .. I am not going to touch the t.v , its not our responsibility.. da da" Oh man , I just stood there thinking wish I had a remote for her too. Anyhow , so I asked them , can you pack the paintings then? and she was like .. ooo noo they are too big .. i don't have boxes that big...at this point I was like okay? so what CAN YOU PACK? and she told me just the open items like frames , plates , small kitchen stuff and all .. I just stood there thinking.. Jeez Louise.. I could have done that all by myself. Anyhow , I made them do whatever they could and call it a day. I don't think it was any of the women's fault , they were really sweet..I blame the office, they should have told me that they don't pack bigger items like painting and t.v etc.. Now , to the moving service. Wow they were absoutely great , right on time and absoutely no bs. They made me write the time when they started loading and when they stopped. They arrived at 3:00 and I was done moving my things in the storage by 5:00 - (Keep in mind , I live around the Galleria area and my storage is all the way in SugarLand) Happy . We used 3 Men Movers to move our two daughters into a rent house, since i was having back issues and couldn't do it. Our appointment time was 9am and the crew arrived at 8:45am. They explained to us the details of the fees which were already explained to us when we made the appointment. As soon as that was done, the time started. The guys took great care in moving the furniture. They plastic wrapped the dressers, chests, and desks to keep the drawers from falling out. Glass was wrapped as well. I was a bit concern since the fees were based on time and I was thinking these guys might take their time. Fortunately, this wasn't the case. The guys worked quickly, but carefully. They had to take apart some of my daughter's computer desk since it wouldn't fit thru the doorway. They put the desk back together at the rent house. They also took off the dresser mirror and replaced it at the rent house. After they were finished moving the furniture, the leader asked if we needed anything else moved. We had them take several bags and containers as well. They also took clothes hanging in the closets and put them in a clean blanket for transportation. The guys were very friendly and helpful. Here's some suggestions. Unload all the clothes from the drawers. We put sticky notes on the furniture stating which room the item would go. I cannot think of one thing that went wrong. I know it was a small move, but the guys took great care in way they treated my daughters' furniture. From the time we called to set things up to the finish everything went smoothly. I would not hesitate to use this company again. read more

I've used 3 Men Movers two times. The transportation flat fee and hourly fee are both a little over $100. The unfortunate thing about the hourly fee is that there is a 2 hour minimum. The hourly fee during Weekends + Friday is more expensive then Monday - Thursday. Both my moves have been on the weekends. Each time the movers arrived within the time frame they said they would arrive. During the first move, 2 years ago, everything was wrapped carefully and there was no damage to any of my things. The 1 bedroom apartment to 1 bedroom apartment (15 miles in between) move took just about 2 hours. When I scheduled the move, I stated that I would be paying with a credit card. The movers kept trying to insist that I should pay with cash. Even going as far as suggesting that I should go get money from an ATM while they unloaded my things. Odd situation. The second move, Dec 09, was another 1 bedroom to 1 bedroom. The driving distance was much shorter. (5 miles instead of 15 miles) This time, the move was very fast and only took about 1 hour and 15 minutes. I think they should have taken a little more time, because one piece of furniture was damaged. The damage was very slight, but it would not have happened if they had wrapped it better/correctly. On the plus side, these movers didn't try to persuade me (unsuccessfully) into going out of my way to get them cash instead of using a credit card. read more

You know what's great about getting old? Realizing it's better to hire professionals than move yourself. =) That's exactly how 3 Men Movers treated my move, professionally. I got the first appointment in the morning, 7am and four guys show up a few minutes early. After scoping out the stuff I had to move, I signed them in and they got to work. An hour later, my two bedroom, 2nd floor apartment was all in the truck. They asked to follow me to my new place, and almost an hour later we got to the new 2 story house. Wasting no time, they got to work and finished moving my stuff in the house in 45 minutes. There are certain things you want in a move. First, being on-time. It's no good waiting around for the moving company to get there, these guys were right on time. Second, especially if it's by the hour, quick service. These guys moved quickly and did not waste any time. It's like they were playing a game, how quick can we move this stuff. But it does no good to be fast if you break a bunch of stuff. Nothing broken, nothing bent, nothing dinged, these guys took care of the stuff. And of course, you want a good price. While no move will be cheap, the time and effort it saves is well worth the price. If you gotta move, get a mover. If you get a mover, I recommend 3 Men Movers. read more

Since my 2009 review, We used 3 Men Movers an additional 3 times. They wrap all of the furniture in thick blankets/tarps and really handle it with care. This most recent move included an extremely heavy cabinet set that they had to take down a flight of stairs that curved. The prices have increased from the 2010 prices Lauren T. included in her review, but it really is worth it. We once used a smaller company but they did not wrap anything and broke my sensor trash can. They flat out dropped it. For two hours (including the trip charge), it came out to about $360 on a Tuesday morning. I'd recommend that you pick a morning time slot so you can guarantee their arrival time. Afternoon arrival times vary of course depending on their morning move. read more

They were punctual and loaded my entire 2BR bungalow into a 16' POD in 2 hours. My only complaint is that upon arriving in Boston I found many things broken from placement in the POD. For example, a small side table was crammed between and under a bunch of heavy boxes and ended up with a broken leg - I also had a tall kitchen trashcan that was new and is now permanently leaning and doesn't close because it was squished between heavy furniture items. The did provide blankets for purchase that were far less than other companies, and the guys were really friendly. Overall, I'm satisfied, but would recommend supervising placement of your things a little more closely if you're going long distances. read more

I'm blown away by the service provided by 3 Men Movers!!!! I literally just finished a move from The Heights to Katy. My one bedroom apartment was in the truck leaving The Heights in under 30 minutes. The guys met me at my new residence in Katy less than 5 minutes after I arrived myself. The entire truck was unloaded and I even had them rearrange a few things in the new place in under 2 hours. Yes, I still had the 2 hr minimum to pay but I've never been able to get a move done within the min 2 hours. I've lived in a 1 bedroom for many years and have hired various movers a half dozen times or so.....these guys were by far the most professional and efficient group I've dealt with. All three guys were very careful with everything they touched and extremely polite! I will definitely use them again and will be sure to tell everyone I know about my experience. read more

VERY COSTLY!!! The first crew never showed and I keep calling since it was getting dark and it was the last day and we had to vacate the apartment. They sent a second truck. In their rush, they destroyed my wife's expensive office chair, scratched my wall and two of the three had the nerve to ask to use my bathroom! Seriously??? Don't bother using this outfit. When I claimed the damage to the chair, they offered me the minimum; pennies on the dollar for the broken chair. When I protested, they said go to mediation at TX DMV. Again - Seriously????? Don't bother with these clowns. Your condescending reply for all the world to see does not play well. If the chair was broken when the movers moved it then they should have made a note in the contract or at least said something to us about it as we were standing right there witnessing it. I recently used 3 Men Movers to move from a duplex to an apartment. I have nothing but positive comments to make about these folks. The guys that showed up were professional, on time, and very fast. I moved out of my house and in to my apartment in 2 hours. They even helped me reassemble my bed frame. Worst experience ever! They dropped my dresser and they took it with them to repair . Had to continue living out of boxes for almost 3 months! They "repaired" my dresser and it looked awful! I recently moved into a house from a 2 story apartment. The three guys were there 5 minutes early and were ready to go after quickly evaluating what had to be moved. I tried to stay out of the way most of time, but I did see that they were very careful and respectful of my things. They even threw out some things I didn't want out to the street. They were done in under 2 hours, but there is a 2 hour minimum. Well worth it though if you want your stuff moved fast and really don't want to ask the friend with the truck to help you. read more

I really liked that they did a set trip charge as opposed to starting their time when they left their office. I cannot recommend these movers. They were referred to us by someone else. We had always used a different company but was assured we would be happy with them The crew was not careful with furniture or boxes. Our furniture was pretty banged up: there are scratches on my bedroom suite that are not able to be buffed or waxed out. I was there all the time directing traffic as they unloaded the truck, and still boxes were put on the wrong rooms, on the wrong floor. The worst was a box from my bathroom marked "fragile" and "this side up" that was stacked upside-down underneath three boxes and jammed in the closet. It was crushed, and the toiletries were squashed and exploded. A cosmetic mirror was broken. My overnight bag was ruined because of all the lotions and shampoos that were squirted all over. When I sent in a poor review to Three Men Movers, someone named Norma contacted me and said she wanted the chance to change my mind,and would I please submit a claim. I did so, and never heard from her again. So my mind is not changed. Moving is an expensive job, and replacing broken and ruined belongings is expensive. Don't hire Three Men Movers. read more

Scheduled and confirmed for 8am. No show, but they say they will be there at 11. Nope. Norma, the ops manager swears they will be there at 1. Next I hear 1 to 2. Of course, it's followed by a text saying 3. Now it doesn't look like they can get here by then. Sure they have a million and one excuses. They should try the truth, it goes further and there isn't any bullshit to remember. read more

We had 3 Men Movers come and help us move house and we were really happy with their dedication and efficiency. The move was much quicker and cheaper than we had anticipated. I have been using this company for a few years now, and every move that I have coordinated with them has been a pleasant experience. They are all about customer service. Their timely manner of communication and flexibility to make changes is excellent. I have never had any issues with this company, and will continue to use them. I never have any worries regarding timeliness the day of the move or care of my items. They really do go above and beyond and go as far as checking your preference of using previous staff if the experience was a good one. Dario and his team are awesome! read more

3MM was the 2nd moving company I reached out to after Student Movers bailed on me and gave me the run around. The person I spoke with over the phone was great. Sent me a follow up email after we talked to confirm the move. Just really great service. The guys got there on time and went to right to work right after the initial walk-thru. I was moving from 1-bdrm to a 1-bdrm (both on the 3rd floor) so it was really a nightmare for them. But the guys were all friendly and very professional. Hiring movers can be an added expense during a move but it is was worth every penny!!! They moved me completely in like 2 hours. Nothing scratched, nothing broken, and were courteous to where I wanted things. I highly recommend them! read more
