We ordered the fried ravioli, and fried Brussels, raviolis were meh, they tasted like they were air fried, they need to be deep fried. The sun-dried tomato fondue lacked flavor, would have done better with a Mariana dipper. Fried Brussels were good though! Bang for your buck on those 2 foods we ordered, we cross referenced the prices for the other items listed on the happy hour and normally shrimp tacos were $13 and on HH they're $12....not much of a deal. I've been here once before and I forgot about it as it lacked luster, I unfortunately won't be back again. I just recently went back here. Hadn't been back since 2019. So glad I went back finally. The foraged mushrooms were so decadent and rich. I absolutely loved them. The beet salad was good and the vegetarian burger was fantastic. I love the beautiful location and views. Service was super fast for our appetizers. Beautiful outdoor patio over looking the marina and trendy interior. The food was good but the portions were small for the price. Brussel sprouts delicious but a small serving. The fish and chips only gave 2 pieces. I asked for a vegetable to replace the mash potatoes and got 6 asparagus that were skinny as a skewer stick. It's a great atmosphere but o wouldn't order dinners. Do not tip the waiters on your card. I learned they haven't been paid their tips in 2 months. Gorgeous river views are what you come here for. They do have a happy hour so that's probably a good time to come. Nice outdoor patio overlooking the river. It's kind of like hotel restaurant type food, but the wings were surprisingly good. Spinach & Artichoke Dip was also pretty good. Probably would pass on the Fish Tacos next time. Last weekend was my first visit to 3 Sheets, although my wife had been here before; apparently a friend of hers was the head chef that helped establish the restaurant during its Grand Opening. That was many years ago, and with him having left aspiring to reach greater culinary heights in Hawaii, it seems that things have dwindled in his absence over the years. We originally came out to Hayden Island to revisit the Island Cafe, but as the wait there was interminably long, we drove a little further down the way and headed to 3 Sheets, where we were happily seated immediately at a long table on the patio, replete with a (currently unnecessary, due to the heat) fire trough than ran its length. We ordered drinks (well, *drink*, as I am back on the keto diet and avoiding carbs as much as possible) and appetizers from the Happy Hour menu: deviled eggs, brussels sprouts with pork belly, plus the steak sandwich, sans bread, for myself. Things arrived in an adequate amount of time, and the deviled eggs and brussels sprouts were pretty fantastic, I will admit. The eggs were creamy and well-seasoned, and the brussels sprouts, in their balsamic glaze, were savory-sweet-bitter in all the right proportions. The pork belly didn't do much for either of us (it never does, anywhere), due to its high fat content, but that is no fault of the restaurant. Just our personal taste. On the other hand, my "enjoyment" of my steak sandwich suffered from similar circumstances. The meat was cold, tough and excessively fatty, to the point where the horseradish (which should have accompanied the sandwich, as it is on the menu, but had to be requested) and steak sauce combo could only just barely salvage it. Utilizing a fork and knife to tackle it, I couldn't imagine having to tear through it with my teeth alone. Unfortunately, things did not improve for the remainder of the meal, as our waiter had completely disappeared after dropping off our entrees, apparently being sucked into bartending duty inside the dining room, despite the fact that there was another (rather curt female0 bartender already there. We waited ~20 minutes after completing our meal before being forced to flag down another waitress, who took another 10 minutes to bring us the check, and then...she also disappeared. We were forced to take our bill to the less-than-friendly lady bartender, who sent us back to our table to wait another 5 minutes before someone came over to take the bill and our card for checkout. All told, nearly 40 minutes passed before we could get the hell outta there! I'd be willing to give 3 Sheets another shake, once I'm off this ridiculous keto diet again, and am no longer forced to cannibalize the menu for something I can eat, but I'd be leery of the service. I'd probably ask for the check to be delivered along with the entree, just to guarantee I can get away in a reasonable amount of time. And I certainly won't be trusting anything steak related without considerable reconnaissance (aka checking to see the quality of other diner's red meat entrees before committing to anything). read more

3 Sheets is a hidden gem! They have a great happy hour, a beautiful outdoor patio in the yacht club area. We chose to sit outdoors even though it was 90° that day. They have umbrellas for the tables so that was a bonus. The store front is located inside the Yacht Harbor Club Apartments on the Columbia river. There's a large parking area and follow the signs. My friends and I arrive towards the end of happy hour but ordered the spinach artichoke dip that is served with grilled garlic toast for an appetizer. It was a good portion. The dip was blended which I have never seen before but it tasted good. The toast on the other hand was not toasted well enough to be crispy... It was just like bread. The waitress we had was very nice and helpful. She provided us with their dinner menus and took drink orders immediately. My ice tea was fresh. For dinner I ordered the Halibut Fish and Chips. It came pretty fast because we were still finishing up the appetizer. My dinner was served with half a grilled lemon, coleslaw, fries, tartar sauce and catsup. The fries were super good... Crunchy on the outside soft on the inside. The coleslaw was OK... There wasn't a lot of it to get a real idea. The halibut fish was not that good... It didn't even taste like halibut. In fact it did not taste like anything... It was strange. Two of us ordered it and didn't finish it. :-( One of my friends ordered the burger which was absolutely amazing and the other ordered the ravioli which was delicious as well. I will give this place another try because it's absolutely beautiful in the summertime... And I will be trying something else on their menu. read more

My family was less than thrilled with our visit to 3 Sheets today. The location is great. Outside seating with views of the marina. You would think it is a great place to spend a Sunny afternoon. We arrived at 2pm sharp. Not too busy. We were immediately seated outside with a nice table. Our server stopped by and took our drink order and my sister ordered the pretzel. Then the waiting began. My brothers soda came right out. My beer, moms glass of wine and sisters specialty drink took another 15 minutes. As our server struggled to deliver 3 drinks, I watched my beer splash and spill on to the ground. Server takes our order at this point and the next waiting session begins. About 10 minutes and the pretzel came out. Was not cold, but definitely wasn't warm. The dipping sauce was bland. Would not order again. After another 15 minutes, we asked about the food. "It's on its way". Two groups sat after us in different sections had their food 10 minutes ago. We are going on 45 minutes with one drink and a lame pretzel. I asked the waitress what the "orange drinks" everyone has. She mentioned it was just water in color changing cups. It's 85 frickin degrees out. Why does everyone have water but us? Another 15 minutes and here comes the food. Well, 3 out of 4. My brother had the fish and chips. Said they were a bit soggy and not too hot. Sister had a Caesar w chicken. She liked it but said there was more lettuce "heart" than anything else. I had the strawberry salad. It was good, but barely any walnuts and was just left "missing something". About 5 minutes later, my moms tacos came out. She said they were wonderful!!! I am not sure if this was a server issue. Most people seemed to have decent service. Our girl disappeared a lot. The couple next to us were noticeably disappointed too. I am in Portland from San Diego (where we have some GREAT outdoor dining) for a week. I would not come back to 3-sheets. I've gone here once, and I'm willing to head back. It's in an odd location, you kind of have to walk through the building to find it (after parking around the other side of the building) and I'll admit I never would have gone here if one of my friends wasn't living in the fancy apartments upstairs. Did I mention this place is fancy? It is. And things are priced to match ($15 burger is about the cheapest thing they've got) but food is discounted for apartment residents and the bartender was kind enough to extend that discount to me. Also worth noting is that they do not have a happy hour. My friend and I were here around 8pm on a Saturday, and despite the above there were a surprising number of people here, maybe about a quarter of what the restaurant could hold. We sat at the bar. Drinks were decently strong and the staff was efficient with good conversation. The food is really, really high quality and delicious. I ordered the 3 Sheets burger because I saw the tarragon aioli on it. The burger was stacked high and was juicy but not too messy, with balanced flavors. Unfortunately I couldn't pick out the tarragon, but it was still good. The basket of fries came with a too-tiny dollop of ketchup, and the little pickles were a perfect wrap up to a delicious meal. Like I said, I'm not opposed to putting in a other visit here. I'll bet during the day the views are great since it's right on the water. read more

Great place. They didn't open until three although when I called they said two. I like she owned her mistake and let us have a seat. We were advised the kitchen was not up and running yet but they would be very happy to get us a drink while we waited. The bartender was amazing as two of the people in my party couldn't decide what they wanted so he asked what do you like and he whipped something delicious up for them. The food was really good as well. With everything there is always room for improvement. When our individual bills came the pink pen I was given leaked all over both of my hands and transferred some to my wallet. After washing my hands they are still stained pink but I know it will fade in with time. We will be back and had a great time. Moved into the same building where restaurant is located and decided to try out 3 Sheets! What a disappointment!!!! Location is great, setup is cute! Food is average, service well below average, and you get charged $0.50 for extra sauce or a whip cream!!!! Had dirty fries to start with! They took seemingly forever and were average. Needed salt and ketchup and took long time to get that as well. Fish tacos were bland and beet salad was an arugula salad with beets. Key Lime pie was good an whip cream tasted like a cool whip but I got charged extra $0.50 for it. What the hell? It was a half dollar sized container for a whip cream that was not even good! Our server was pleasant and genuinely uninterested in service. All in all, pretty average restaurant with bad service. Nickel and diming gets you a solid bad review and a note that you will not get an opportunity to serve me again. read more

I really like the location. Very discreet in Jantzen beach. The ambiance is dark, modern and sexy. Also has a great view, we got to enjoy the sunset. I ordered the scallops that came with couscous as my entree and had the crab cakes as an appetizer. The crab cakes had virtually no flavor, I could taste hints of salt. The server asked me how they were and I told him they were okay. I didn't have the heart to say I didn't like them at all. The scallops only tasted like salt. Lots and lots of salt. Maybe they were trying to compensate for the lack of flavor of the crab cakes? The server ended up comping the crab cakes, I didn't ask him to so that was nice of him. Nice find in a beautiful setting. This new building is sexy and the restaurant has a great view of the river and the sailboats that call the marina their home. Outdoor seating is right at the elevated waters edge and the large glass windows open up to make the small indoor seating area double it's size. The food is prepared beautifully and our drinks were great. The best part was our server Emily though. She was a great representative of the venue and was the perfect mix of super attentive and zero pressure. The girls got fish and chips with Buffalo Chase old fashions and I ordered the pork chop with IPA from Boneyard. Great presentation. read more

A Hidden gem. A group of us were looking for a new spot to celebrate. However, our group shrank to 3 and we hadn't planned ahead. Found this place through Opentable and made a reservation for 3. At night it can be hard to find, weaving through the dark roads to get to Tomahawk Island. In addition, the restaurant is located at the base of an apartment building with parking across from the building. Good thing, 3 Sheets has small signs to help guide you. On the way to the restaurant, we got a call that another wanted to join us. Upon arrival, the restaurant said no problem. It was rather quiet with only a few tables filled. Nautical, yet modern decor with views of the harbor. Great place for a quiet dinner for date night. Cocktails? Very Good. Hemingway Daquiri-bacardi, grapefruit, maraschino luxardo, lime Docks & Harbors-cazadores reposado, chambord, lemon, habanero agave, egg white, togarashi Food? Our party decided to share plates. Oysters on the 1/2 shell. Fresh. Clam Steamer. Very Good. Charcuterie. Very Good. Fish & Chips. Best I've had in a while. Caesar Salad. Standard. This place is tucked away in what I think is a condo complex. It's a great place to stop by for a cocktail or some great food by boat or by car. We absolutely enjoyed the grilled codfish sandwich. Nice piece of juicy codfish with avocado and house made slaw on a brioche bun. For our appetizer, we enjoyed the Dungeness Crab Cakes. We got the dinner portion which includes 3 crab cakes, corn relish and a very tasty tarter sauce base. Probably some of the best crab cakes I've had. The service was excellent and the restaurant was clean and very comfortable. We got there after sundown but I'm sure during the day you'd have some very nice views of the Marina behind the restaurant. This is a very nice place worth checking out. This is my go-to restaurant on the Island. The food is good, the service is friendly and the atmosphere is nice. There are a lot of locals that come here so I can see how it may be a bit off putting if you sit at the bar...everyone kinda knows everyone. 3 Sheets has an outstanding happy hour on drinks and food! I enjoy the wings and the asparagus...yeah I know that sounds silly, but hey they have healthy happy hour items. Generally the food is nothing extravagant, but it is all well done, and the menu has good variety. The restaurant also has daily specials. I had a steak salad on one of these daily specials that I wish was on the permanent menu. It was delicious! The patio is nice with a great view of the marina. The atmosphere inside has nice lighting and a lively atmosphere. In summer it can be quite busy, but in the off season it is more mellow. The bar has a surprisingly great liquor selection. They have Empress Gin which is one of my favorites for martinis, which often leads to me being 3 sheets to the wind. read more

Came by for a late lunch today and very glad we stopped by. Parking can be a little confusing since this is inside an apartment complex - but trust me it's worth the effort of looking for the parking. Service was really great, ambience was relaxing and chill, and food did not disappoint. Their happy hour menu is also a great deal with extensive options. We ordered the pork tacos, fish tacos, oysters on the half shell, pretzel, and fried ravioli of the day. Everything was delicious and would order again except for the oysters. The oysters flavor was fine but the size was very very small. The dipping sauces and topping sauces on all the meals really shine and bring a lot more depth than a typical sauce. We also ordered the Spanish coffee and the nudge which was a tamer version of a Spanish coffee. Look forward to coming back and trying their brunch. read more

A hidden gem that made us feel like we were on vacation in our hometown! We were looking for a tropical oasis to escape to and the vibe here did not disappoint! From the palm trees to the cocktails combined with a stunning view of the marina at sunset... we have found a little slice of the islands right here on Hayden Island.
