The last review lied...it's a lotto shack... Even the bartender said it would be better to leave than to eat the food.

Not only is the food good and the portions are generous, but those meatballs (an add on) is where it's at! They really load up the plates, so you're definitely getting your money's worth here. Don't skip the cannolis - they're one of our favorite things on the menu you get three for each order. The drinks are straightforward, well-made and reasonably priced. No need to Sit Tite for too long, as the service here is fast! They recently expanded their outdoor patio area. Between the patio, pool table, arcade games and its relaxed atmosphere - it's an easy spot to spend a few hours with friends.

TL;DR Local bar with a dive feel but surprisingly delicious meals happy hour from 4-6 with some good deals for drafts and cocktails What to say about Sit Tite... well sit tight and find out! Anyway corny jokes aside this bar can seem mysterious from the outside but it's a great local bar with a great food menu and a pretty solid cocktail list. Being as this is my local bar it's a great place to unwind after a long day of work, or even just to stop by and say hello. The bartenders are friendly the vibes are neighborly and the drinks are flowing. They got a pool table, pinball machines, Photo Booth, patio it's one of those great hangout places (I just wish I had more friends to go there with and share a drink ) needless to say this place is great and their fried lasagna is one of the best I've ever had.

The grilled trout with zarandeado marinade is memorable ... wonderful flavor! The burgers are good, but not necessarily a knock out that stands above other places. I tried their salmon fish and chips. It's the PNW so salmon makes good sense, and I love salmon, but I discovered that the flavor profile of salmon isn't quite right for a battered and fried fish dish like white fish are. I've had only one truly disappointing experience. I had a light appetite so I ordered their Beet and Citrus salad. I declined any protein to be added. For $18 I received a large platter with the salad literally taking up ONE HALF side of the platter as if something else was supposed to be served beside it. The chef could've easily proportionalized the size of the salad and balanced it on the plate so it looked like a complete meal. Instead, what I got almost felt like the chef was telling me that I should've ordered something else with it.

I had never…read moreheard of La Barbecue at the time, but after a few days there I kept hearing good things about it and readjusted my plans in order to get a meal there. I tried 2-3 times to dine there and each time they were either closed our out of food, so I was super bummed. I was ecstatic to hear that they were opening up Lil Barbecue here in Portland as a sister restaurant. I had high expectations given their Michelin pedigree, but also expected the possibility of new restaurant growing pains too. I opted for 1/2 brisket, side of mac and cheese, pickled red onions, and banana pudding. The brisket was fantastic! I was excited to see how big and thick the slice of brisket was and that it was from the fatty point. The brisket shattered the benchmark set by the other bbq restaurants in town and stands in a tier all by itself IMO. I felt like it was as good as some of the better places I've had in Austin and Dallas (easily better than Terry Blacks). I have a love/hate relationship with banana pudding. Most of the time it's just average...average is fine/good but it's easily forgettable. Lil Barbecue's banana pudding was anything but average/fine/good...it was God Tier! I infrequently eat banana pudding so my memory might not be the best, but it really felt like this was the best banana pudding I have ever had in my life and it is not to be missed here. It tasted "real" without being too artificially flavored with banana, not too rich, not to sweet, and even had slices of real banana in it alongside Nilla Wafers. It was perfect! Ordering was counter service up at the bar and with these types of places service usually takes a back seat. I was surprised to learn that this wasn't the case, in fact this is probably the most attentive staff when it comes to counter service I've had in Portland. At best most places would just visit your table 1-2 times max, but here I want to say 4 different staff members passed by my table maybe 6+ times and one of them went above and beyond to address my issue that I didn't expect. Bravo!

They had 2 screens with sports. I do subtract a star for the seats. Seats are expensive and a business needs a lot. They standardized on some industrial metal ones with no backs, stools, high and low. Even the window seats don't really have much to lean back against. Mayfly is a neighborhood spot, a block from Kenton's main street with a great neighborhood community, a large variety of drinks, to-go, and food popups. It's on the MAX light rail too.
