 Bananas Foster &
small chocolate lava cake w small scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Sat. night date night w the Mrs. & wanted to go to a nice spot that served steaks/meat. I did a lot of looking around & found Jake's. I made the reservation through OpenTable & mentioned it was the 1st time visiting & wanted a table away from the front door. We showed up 10 minutes early, and they sat us right away in a nice booth away from the door (they read the notes--good job), setting the tone for the dining experience. Food: We had the starter: Prawn & Scallop Rockefeller ($22) and you get 3. Never did appreciate odd-numbered apps, but our server was super quick to say we can add one more for just $5 upcharge (nudge nudge wink wink). For the Mains: I had the 13oz RibEye ($49.5.... C'm on... just make it $50 even), which came with a "slightly more than a scoop" of garlic mashed potatoes; they were whipped for sure. I also added the Peppercorn & Brandy Cream Sauce ($7 upcharge.... go figure). She had Jakes Slow Roasted Washington Double R Prime Rib (short name: 12oz Prime Rib, $36), cooked medium-rare, which came with 2 small stalks of broccolini. Came w/ a little ramikin of AuJus & horseradish cream (notice the word cream? it was extremely mild in flavor.. kind of a "hint" of horseradish). / This piece had a considerable amount of fat & it was definitely hard to cut. From the Shareable Sides, we went with the Sauteed Mushrooms in sherry garlic butter ($11). Cooked perfectly and the sherry flavor was noticeable. Desserts: Chocolate Lava cake w small scoop of vanilla ice cream. Super fugie-cakeie. Bananas Foster. One word: EPIC Service: Took a while to get our initial round of drinks, but aside from that, our server was super-pro (a veteran to the restaurant for sure!). And one thing to note: when my steak was delivered, I was asked to cut into it confirm it was cooked to my liking. Really appreciated that. Venue: While the place was totally packed, it wasn't loud; We could have a conversation with no issue. Overall: Great experience, great food, great service. Little bit on the pricy side, so know that going in. I'd say 4.5 if I could. We'll be back when we're craving steak/meat/chops.

No web page, doesn't seem to have consistent hours! Is it really open? It has gone down hill since they bought out the original owners.

Rather than driving the 18 miles to Clackamas, we went to the Columbia River location of the Owego Grill, because it's usually my favorite place to dine. What a great location. Right on the river. Beautiful scenery. Sure beats the scenery from the Clackamas town center location. We immediately got a table in the bar. Our server was at our table very quickly very fun very engaging, very friendly. We ordered drinks which came out very quickly as well. They tried to deliver us a beer, within seconds of sitting down, which we would've accepted, until they figured out it was supposed to go to another table, ha. I chose the fish and chips, which was amazing and abundant, and very flavorful. There was enough coleslaw for 2 to 3 people. And the fish was enough for at least two. My son chose the prime rib dip sandwich, which was very good from a protein perspective, the bread was overwhelming for him, too dense, too dry. Beverages were great, service was awesome, food was excellent.

My friend had the Crab Cakes and the were wonderful. I chose the Cheeseburger with the fresh cut fries, and they were both perfect. We each had an Arnie Palmer that was very refreshing after a walk. We sat in the bar, and I was impressed by the amount of tv's and the location of them. Meaghann was also so friendly and just nice. She became quite busy when a party of 10 ladies sat down, but she still found time to take care of us. Great job again Oswego Grill

Menu selections were many --- burgers, fish & chips, tacos, hummus. Love the healthy options. It was lunch hour and they were busy. It wasn't too loud in there so we could hear each other and have fun talking while waiting for our food. Restaurant is small and kitchen smaller but they seemed like the staff was managing fine. I would like to comment on the visibility of this location. Since it's tucked away and a spa is in the front I didn't see it and had to turn around. Consider additional flags to add to where you're at because GPS tells us it's right there and it's not RIGHT there. I decided on fish tacos and I couldn't taste the fish. It felt like I was eating cole slaw in a soggy crispy taco shell. Consider deleting this item or improving how you make fish tacos. Too much greens and mayo where you can't taste the fish. Overall food, service and ambiance was okay.

There was only one table available in a small room with 3 other four-top tables. It was super loud with that many people in such a small space. They definitely try to make use of every inch they have. We're not really 'crowd' people, nor do we enjoy high volume environments where we can't have a conversation without raising our voices. That part of the experience left little to be desired. The staff was super friendly, helpful and attentive. Our water glasses were refilled promptly, and considering how busy they were, our food came out timely. We ordered the club sandwich with fries and a bacon Swiss burger with chili. The food was good, but nothing outstanding. They offer generous portions at affordable prices. Overall we enjoyed our meal, but given the loud and crowded environment, we're not sure it's a place we'll frequent in the future.
