I ordered a Stella my mother ordered a sake spritz, her friend ordered a Espresso Martini. Both of them said their alcohol tasted more like water and couldn't even taste a skin bit of alcohol. My mom ordered the crab cakes she enjoyed the taste he did not however. So it depends on the person the portion, was small but expected from an entree. Only thing that gave it taste was the onion. I ordered a margherita pizza (12 inch) to share with my grandmother since she doesn't eat much. Sauce was bland the pizza was crunchy though. The price for all of this was $100 the place is beautiful but the food overall? Not worth it . Pretzel was decent, mustard too strong. The chicken sandwich was nothing special as were the fries. The side salad was delicious however. Love the addition of hearts of palm. The location of this restaurant, although a bit difficult to navigate, is stunning...right on the Hudson in Ossining. They have a very limited menu which is both lunch and dinner. we had 2 salads, one with chicken and one with shrimp. No drinks, not even soda or coffe and the bill was over $70... for lunch! The food was ok..not terrible, not great...both the chicken and the shrimp were over cooked and a bit dry. Because unlike most new establishments that start off great, then slowly cut back on quality, service, and care once they establish a loyal customer base and good reputation, No.3 Westerly has done the complete OPPOSITE! And against all odds, Improved like a fine wine!! I take my wife here for brunch at least 1 or 2 times a month. The food is Delicious with a menu that has everything from woodburning oven Pizza to Sushi. The Bar is gorgeous with every seat having an elevated view over the main dining room straight to the Hudson River. They also have a separate dining area reserved for private parties ( there is always a Birthday, Bridal shower, or graduation going on and they always sound like they are having the best time) The staff treat us like family ( which for the huge size of this establishment is very uncommon) Even servers from past visits will make a point to come check on us even if we are not in their section. You will never just find this place by accident, as its riverside and you need to cross the MTA tracks to access it. So make an effort to try this Ossining treasure..you will not be disappointed!! No. 3 Westerly Bar and Grill is a relatively new restaurant in Ossining, very close to the Metro North Train Station and the Harbor Square Apartments. I take the Metro North from Croton Harmon regularly and had noticed this restaurant for a few years now. It sure pops out and catches my attention since it is essentially the only thing around this secluded area in Ossining. Nevertheless, the restaurant offers absolutely beautiful views of the Hudson River with a well-landscaped area in the back of the restaurant. The restaurant has windows all throughout their backside for all guests to enjoy the amazing view. The restaurant has a lot of space with high ceilings. It also has a second floor of dining seats. They have plenty of televisions perfectly placed for the guests to catch all the games playing at a given time. I really appreciated their atmosphere and the copious amount of natural light shining their dining space. The menu is quite diverse with mostly American cuisine but with a sushi section. Their having a sushi menu was very peculiar to me, so I decided to try their other food items before giving this section a chance. My family and I ordered wings and calamari for starters. The wings were not as satisfying as I wished, but I really enjoyed their calamari and the sweet chili sauce that they added onto it. I ended up ordering the Waldorf Romaine Salad with Chicken and shared a Prosciutto Pizza with my girlfriend. The salad was pretty good but only had limited toppings. I prefer it that way, but as an entree salad, I don't think it would have been enough for me if I didn't also have pizza. I have had better prosciutto pizza before, but I was definitely satisfied with it. I liked that they added some marinara sauce, which isn't always the case for this kind of pizza. Overall, Westerly was a delightful experience with my family. Our waiter was very polite and kind to us, and he was very patient with our ordering! This was the first time we visited and we were enamored by the Hudson River view. I would definitely want to come again and perhaps try their sushi and raw bar menu! read more
