This place came recommended by my Lyft driver as a great spot for a live band while in Nola to get away from the craziness on Bourbon. Arrived in time for happy hour and the live band. I got a few craft beers that I love for a great price and oysters are $1 each. Great deal so I enjoyed 6 of them. Love some good fresh oysters with an ice cold beer and some good music. 2 bands performed and they were great. I went alone so I left a little early but it was a whole vibe. Excellent music! No cover! Dollar oysters! Wow! It's small, but mighty. Love this little place. The only thing I would say could be improved would be the communication between the bar, servers and food. Seemed like every line we got in or when sitting was just a miss, kinda became a little joke, and people who just walked in were served way before us. That's on us as tourist though maybe. These people are super hard working and the bartender is so attentive and walks around when not busy. Did I say holy crap on the music, incredible. GREAT musicians on a weekday! No cover, good vibes. Drinks were strong and the homeless woman living in the bathroom really added charm.

This place is a whole vibe! We were told Frenchman Street was the spot for live music, so that's where we headed and this place pulled us right in. We heard the singer from outside, walked in planning to stay about 30 minutes... and ended up there for three hours!!! This review isn't about the food because, unfortunately, the kitchen was closed when we arrived but honestly? Food wasn't even needed. The drinks were on point, and the bartenders were fantastic. The prices were noticeably cheaper than Bourbon Street, and the drinks were actually much better. Now let's talk about the music -- 10/10 across the board. The performer sang everything from Snoop Dogg to Beyoncé, Alanis Morissette to The Beatles. The entire place was vibing...people dancing, singing along, clapping ...just pure NOLA joy. The energy in the room was incredible. No cover charge -- you just walk right in. They take all major credit cards (I didn't notice anyone using cash). Bathrooms were clean, and there is a bathroom attendant selling snacks and asking for tips, so just be aware. Overall, this was such a fun, memorable experience, and it's definitely going on my list of must-return spots the next time I'm in the area. My husband and I came here on Thursday night after hearing some live music we were feeling. There is not too much seating, but there are hightop tables along with maybe a few other smaller tables. Their menu was small but not bad. What sucked was that they were out of red beans and rice, Poboy's, and jambalaya (I think it was). Just took out both things we wanted to order. Instead, my husband got the shrimp platter, which was cool (a solid 2.5/5) and I got the gumbo, which was maybe a 3/5. My rating primarily however, comes from the service I received from the bartender who was so kind, patient and helpful, as well as the live music. We received a SHOW that night! And luckily, we were in the place for the shift change, in which the performer was led in by a New Orleans band, how cool! After a break, she then proceeded to start her set. What on earth did we encounter? One bartender. No bouncer. It appeared that the band members were working the door? It is Saint Patrick's Day. 3:00 PM on a Sunday. It is empty. Empty, yet the bartenders are already moody and incredibly slow. There is no table service. One must go up to them and they don't greet, nor do they provide any information about the band, alcohol specials or overall menu(s). We didn't even know they had food here?! Music was...interesting. The band's lead was drunk and was forgetting words to songs. My partner and I's parents were not impressed and asked to leave after the first set. They did use the bathroom and both men and women thought there was a homeless person living in the bathroom due to the old-school bathroom help (washroom assistant) that they aren't used to--NO IDEA that this is still a thing.
