Out of the blue, my car started idling rough. Thinking it could be bad gas, I headed to AutoZone to…read morepurchase cleaner. On the way there, the check engine light came on. Once there, they were not able to help me with getting the code read, so I went to another business in the area. The code was read, but he did not provide me with a code number. Feeling like I didn't really get any assistance, I headed to Christiana Auto Parts. I was greeted and immediately assisted, providing me with the code number. I let him know that my son is a mechanic was at work that day and just needed the code. He asked if he could look under the hood, I agreed and he started asking questions due to curiosity on what could caused this to happen. He was very determined to find the cause, and asked to speak with my son. They messaged back-and-forth and worked together. This young man went out of his way and very determined to solve this problem. It ended up being a cap on the intake manifold that must've rotted and fallen off. He would not take any money for his efforts. He just seemed satisfied to be able to figure the problem out, reminded me much of my son who is the very same way. When a challenge is presented, it's like finding the missing piece to a puzzle. Bottom line, the courtesy, friendliness, and desire to help me out really impressed me. The only thing he requested is if I ever needed work to be done on my car that my son couldn't do, to come and see him. His name is Tommy, and said he and his father (and I think brother) run this business. I know it has been there for some time, passing by it for years. I only wished I had thought to go there first! I'm telling you, being a woman who has had many car problems in her life, know there are a lot of untrustworthy auto shops out there. I felt this business to be trusted in the short 20-30 minutes I was there! While I don't know the extent of work they do there, but definitely recommend checking into this place! Awesome care and customer service!!

Associates continue to talk about selling it whole for $1500 to $1800 or crushing it. Then hang up after I explain that I am looking for ways to save this car. Guess if you don't play by their rules, they leave. Evidently, my encounters are similar to others who have dealt with them considering the comments left on various sites. I guess they are still in business because people are willing to pay such prices or know someone. While talking to a body shop person who wanted to buy a truck door, B&H wanted $400 - which listed else where for $300. When the person explained how only sheet metal was needed not all the extras, the sales person wouldn't budge. A friend acquired it later for $50. Interesting enough, there are other Checkers out there for less money and better condition. My concern is that we lose another vehicle that could be used by someone for his or her car. This is more important then scrape metal. Please let me know if you have any suggestions to save this piece of history for the future. My home is about 15 minutes away from their junkyard. I am willing to work in any capacity that I am capable in doing to save it. The first time I used Freedom Cycle, was for the 1994 low rider. I recently took the bike to another shop, thou they did what they said they would do something still wasn't right . So I decided to try Freedom Cycle I,m so glad I did . Frank and Kathy step up to the plate took my bike right in fixed the under line issue ,very fair pricing and great customer service. (Here the thing ), my bike sat for almost two months when I noticed a gas smell in the garage, no visual gas just a strong odder. I called Freedom Cycle , Kathy promptly set up appointment , I brought the bike in and Frank fix the issue for Pennies . "No ONE DOSE THAT" They make sure they go over your bike and it's road worthy. The second time I brought my 2006 Fat Boy , everything on this bike was original, Yes even the battery. Freedom Cycle , was going to put new tires change out my fluids and Yes put a new battery. Funny thing is when I went to start the bike to bring it over the battery was dead wouldn't take a jump, I called Kathy, told her my dilemma she said no problem she had a battery waiting for me. " very fair market price" I'm very pleased with the service. It's nice to know that there are still business out their that are people friendly. These folks are the friendliest, most eager-to-help people around (but not annoyingly so... you won't get the uncomfortable hard sell). They have a decent sized inventory, but if they don't have what you need on hand, they'll order it for you ASAP. They've got a good selection of leathers, helmets, goggles, clothes and also plenty of bike accessories. If you're a bar-brawlin', ride-all-winter, ZZ-Top-bearded biker gang member or a dentist who only rides 20 miles a weekend, you'll be comfy here. They also have a full-service Harley-only garage on site. Honestly, I like this place better than Mike's Famous. Better vibe, infinitely smaller, and it feels good to support the little guy. Give 'em your business, you'll be glad you did.
