I've been to 30Hop twice now, and both experiences have been great! My first visit a few months ago was excellent, and I recently went back again with the same great experience. I've been to the Lee Summit location of this brewery a few times, and I miss it. This was my second visit. Both locations are in a great neighborhood, but be warned: parking is limited. It's always busy, so we had to park a bit and walk up to the brewery. But the location itself is beautiful. It's nicely situated between a shopping complex and a nice neighborhood with good apartments right across the 69 and 35 highway. There are so many beer options to try. I highly recommend their hazy IPA, which is on the menu. It was outstanding. Now, let's talk about the food. I loved the fish, blackened tacos. Their nachos were also super good. We ordered them with chicken and pork, and there were a bunch of other dishes we shared with friends. I didn't get to take pictures of them, but they were all delicious. I must mention the server who helped us. Her name was Shaian, and she was an outstanding person. She was incredibly patient and explained everything to us so patiently. She checked on us frequently to make sure we were taken care of. She even made changes to our food orders as we needed and refilled our drinks. I was intrigued by the Mike's Hot Honey Chicken sandwich, but concerned it would be too hot for me as my tastebuds have changed over the years, but I was definitely not disappointed! Enjoyed the flavor and no burned taste buds. I shared my spicy concern with Linely and he did a great job describing Mike's Hot Honey Chicken especially in comparison to Nashville Hot Chicken. He clearly described the sandwich perfectly. We also got the Monday Deal (and it's definitely a deal) $5.99 for a Classic Burger and side. It was a good size burger and plenty of fries. 30Hop is a place to take in sports on the many TVs or have space to catch up with friends or family if any size. Lonely said tonight is a slow night (Monday) and that Thursday - Sunday is very busy especially since they offer a weekend brunch. It's also busy at lunch with regulars. Thoroughly enjoyed my visit to 30Hop at Grand Station in Merriam, Kansas. The atmosphere is fantastic, with a vaulted ceiling, sports screens everywhere, and a friendly staff. They have an extensive beer list, and the fries were outrageously good. Now, there are few foods I love more than a crispy chicken sandwich -- especially one with kick to it! That's why I ordered the hot honey crispy chicken sandwich. It was a crispy, flavorful sandwich, that was well put together. I'm not going to pretend I didn't eat the entire thing and enjoy doing so! But.... It doesn't have a lot of heat. It's disappointing to expect it and then not experience it. Nevertheless, it's a good sandwich worthy of the $14.99 price. There were a multitude of beers I wanted to try, and I landed on KS Territory's "Pineapple Life Coach." I was expecting more heat on the sandwich and figured this beer would be ideal. And it is! We also tried the spinach and artichoke dip, it was a nice touch that it came with little slices of bread plus the chips. The Atmosphere - So this place is fantastic. If you are looking to watch a game there is a TV on for you. Yet if you are not excited about any of what is on... it is not in your face and you can easily sit comfortably and have a conversation with your table. Also this place has 32 taps which is more than the original 30. But, I think the name will remain the same. 4 stars The Staff - I have rarely been greeted as well or as friendly as when I showed up here. Not only was the hostess nice and sweet, asking where we wanted to set and then guiding us to an area that had staff waiting on it but, also stood to chat briefly till our waitress got there to get us started with waters. Our waitress was extremely nice and attentive. She was friendly and able to read the table which I am sure takes quite a bit of talent. It was an impromptu date night so we were only waited on when one of us looked up and around. The Manager was also around to say hi and chat with us a bit before continuing on to other tables and see how they were doing. 5 Stars The Food - I picked up a chicken sandwich with fries. It was exactly what I was looking for on this day. My date, however, picked up a salmon salad that was amazing! Not only was the salmon cooked perfectly with a sear on all sides to give it that crispiness that is so desired but this was plated like a Michelin star was in the kitchen! Everything tasted so good. And I cannot wait to get back and have more things off the menu. My date even assured me that she will be right there with me! :D Overall - This is a fantastic addition to the Merriam area there and a good revitalization of the location. My only comment is that parking is limited. In our discussions of this I have come to some conclusions. I believe that ideas/architectural concepts are often adopted in for use in the KC Metro from successes in other cities around the globe. As much as this seems like a great idea, it seems like few of these builders take into account that this is a city of car travel. We have very low public transportation or infrastructure to support alternative modes of travel. Our city is on a sprawl and though our traffic is low you are traveling a greater distance to get to other city centers in the metro. I think the biggest reflection of this is that parking is often and afterthought and that there is rarely the right amount with any of the new constructions around town. I am so happy someone finally developed this formerly empty space. 30hop is a perfect addition to this area that is somewhat lacking in great restaurants. I stopped in for a bit to be greeted by a huge smile and friendly bartender named Stephan, who made my night. The Caesar salad is GOOD. It's not a bland "run of the mill" salad with croutons and romaine. Instead they've added arugula, bacon, and egg. This is a GAME CHANGER. The Peanut noodles are amazing. Absolutely mind blowing, honestly. This is something we will be back for immediately. In addition to fantastic food, 30Hop has a lot of beer on tap as well as a full bar with really great drink prices. The only thing this bar is missing is Miller Lite. Please please get Miller Lite! The Happy Hour and weekly specials make already great prices even better. Came in for lunch with a group of coworkers. The parking situation outside was pretty busy and the place was fairly full for a lunch hour. We were sat pretty much immediately and had drinks fairly quickly. Apps (spinach artichoke dip + buffalo cauliflower bites) came out pretty quick and both were pretty good. Outside of the Mike's Hot chicken sandwich, I also got the truffle cheesesteak melt. Another compatriot got the Nashville hot chicken. Another got the Korean steak sandwich. And the final member of the group also got the Nashville hot chicken sandwich. The results of these meals were some of the craziest I've ever experience. The good - the Nashville hot chicken (and the Mike's Hot Honey chicken sandwich) were really good, 4-5 stars. But the steak was basically inedible as it seemed to be pretty low quality and was horribly overcooked - like beyond well done. So the people that got chicken had a great time, but the two of us that got steak were extremely disappointed. Normally I wouldn'take snap judgement recommendations, but if you're coming here, I would strongly suggest sticking to the chicken or getting a burger (a couple other people I know that have been here endorsed the burger) and skipping anything with steak in it. Even sans the hot honey chicken sandwich and everyone having water, it still ended up being $30+ per person, so it's also a bit on the expensive side. Would I come back? If you're local and can take advantage of the specials + like chicken? Yes. But if your heart is set on steak or you're more than 10 minutes away, I'd probably recommend something else. read more

Think great bar food, and a robust tap list. We stopped in here for lunch over the weekend, and enjoyed all of our food. I've been for both brunch and dinner and I would go back, but nothing I've had has been overly flavorful. My husband and I ate at 30hop for the first time yesterday, and it was completely delightful!! Our server was Joshua A, who was very friendly, welcoming and efficient. He greeted us with a smile, took our orders, and then checked back with us several times during the course of our meal to ensure we were enjoying our food and had everything we needed. Everything moved like clockwork, from our seating to ordering to receiving our food to paying the bill. The food was OUTSTANDING!! I had the grilled chicken avocado club, and it was absolutely superb!! It was a complete chicken breast, and full avocado slices, grilled bacon, tomato, lettuce, and a very tasty sauce. All the flavors melded together perfectly, and I almost wished I'd ordered a second sandwich! My husband had the truffle cheesesteak melt, and he said it was amazing. The cheese was so tasty--like provel, or boursin--and the beef was tender and juicy. Both of us had fries on the side--his was regular fries and mine were sweet potato fries--and both were cooked to perfection (crispy, not greasy). The menu for 30hop is extensive, with plenty of options. They also have ample selections of beer and wine, and a full bar available. The restaurant itself is very open and airy; the tables are far enough apart that you don't feel crowded, and the music is soft enough that you can have a conversation at a normal volume. There are plenty of screens to keep up with your favorite sports, too. It was a wonderful first visit, and we will DEFINITELY return for many more meals! This was my third restaurant that I visited during Kansas City Restaurant Week 2026. This is an Iowa based Sports Pub concept that just opened their 5th and 6th locations here in the KC Metro. The space is wide open and huge with about 20 Large TV's circumferencing the restaurant and a very large bar set in the middle that can seat about 30. I sat at the bar just in time to watch some NFL Playoffs on a Saturday afternoon. There were only 4 other people at the bar during my visit so I was a bit confused on why my server was so lackluster in her service - my only complaint. I ordered off the KCRW special menu with two courses for $20 and left ridiculously stuffed and a box with half of my appetizer for a late night snack. The appetizer that I chose was the Spinach Artichoke Dip which came with tortilla chips and toasted bread for dipping. Certainly enough for two or a meal in itself. Nicely baked with a crusty cheesy top to juxtapose against the soft creamy dip. Probably the best Spin Dip I've ever had. Course two was a hard decision but I selected the "That's My Jam Burger". Another monstrosity that was accompanied with fries. Two patties with American Cheese, Blue Cheese, Garlic aioli, shredded lettuce, potato straws, and bacon jam on a soft burger bun. The largest and tastiest burger I've had in several months. A $36 ticket, but only $20 for KCRW. A great bargain. Also a big fan of the Chopped Greek Salad (should be vegan w/o feta) and the Teriyaki Dragon Bowl (again w/o aioli). The Happy Hour is pretty solid too: 3pm-6pm except Saturday with a plain no-nonsense 30% off most drinks and appetizers. It's a large open space and there's enough seating you could probably stop by and work on your laptop for a bit without feeling like you're holding up a bar spot or table. They also have outdoor seating and we were told they will have live music events soon. We came during happy hour from 3-6pm. I got the Spinach Artichoke Dip and the Blueberry Squeeze Margarita. Both were great. The dip was creamy and the margarita was unique with the salt foam topping, I highly recommend trying it! Our servers were amazing, very friendly and sociable. The service was awful. We had a large table of 11 and when the rest of my table got their food, I waited patiently. When noting ever came out I flagged down the waiter- she could have checked on us to make sure everything came out- nope. I asked about my biscuits and gravy. She said " It didn't come out?" No, I have nothing in front of me and some people at my table have finished their meal. She got the manager and he said "Well the meal was made and it got put down. Somebody else must be eating it." He said he would re make it for me. I reminded him I had busy and gravy. They promptly brought out the order of the girl sitting next to me. I had to say again I had the full regular biscuit and gravy order. Which was finally corrected. When it was time to pay we asked multiple times if gratuity was already added. The waiter she said no. It is on a device that doesn't spell out the charges. I added more tip and asked for a printed copy. There was already 18% gratuity because of the large table so she ended up getting tipped twice by half the table. Some of my party had left before this error was caught. Check your receipt! I asked for it to be refunded. Hopefully it doesn't charge me twice. When you are ready for your check you must flag down the waiter. You will wait an hour after you are done if you do not get their attention and ask for the check. read more

I will say the food and service needs some work from the Lee summit location, but they are so new I am sure they are still figuring things out. Must have appetizer is the dynamite shrimp, and the spin dip was great too! All the salads are HUGE, so plan to be hungry if getting a large. Mac and cheese is perfectly small side to pair with a burger (or on), chicken fingers or a wrap etc, on the wide menu. Bang Bang shrimp was really tasty, had a kick like the OG version at Bonfish many years ago. Nice touch with the meatball shaped rice that partially absorbed the spicy-ish flavor of the shrimp. A plentiful portion that would be perfect for 2 or 3 people, filled my stomach with the M&C for sure. Will need to revisit with friends to explore other menu options, hmm, maybe brunch.
