I came to this dental office on the recommendation of my partner, who's been a patient here since…read morechildhood and always spoke highly of the care they received. Based on that, I was genuinely looking forward to becoming a patient myself. While the staff were kind and the care itself was great, I have to express major concern about how billing and insurance transparency were handled. I'm 30 and relatively new to having health insurance. I've always been cautious--some might say overly cautious--because I've heard too many horror stories about surprise medical bills and unclear insurance coverage. That's why I was very thorough in asking upfront about the cost of my treatment and whether anything might be billed later. I was told clearly that my insurance would not cover the deep cleaning due to a waiting period, which I understood. I made it very clear that I was fine paying out of pocket, but only if the amount I was quoted was the total and that there would be no additional charges later. I double-checked before both of my appointments and even again while paying--each time, I was reassured that the amount I paid was the full and final cost. Then I started receiving conflicting bills. One person told me I owed $325, another said $773, and yet another said $441. This inconsistency is incredibly frustrating and has completely undermined my trust in their billing process. If you're someone like me who needs cost clarity and peace of mind, I would not recommend this office. The care may be great, but the lack of transparency on billing is deeply disappointing. The update is that they recently gave me a treatment plan with all these added numbers and notes on this sheet which is totally different then the ones I've received in person after paying for my services honestly it's kind of ridiculous . Especially when I explicitly asked for transparency and nothing that was written down was spoked to me at all.

I have always had an excellent experience at Hidden Lakes Dental…read more I see Dr. Petrilla and my usual hygienist is Melanie. Both are friendly, professional and do excellent work in explaining every procedure that is needed, while making me feel comfortable and alleviating anxiety. I had a recent situation where I needed and implant and the referral as well as entire process and the way it was handled with Dr. Petrilla showed me what a professional yet extremely caring person she is. My last appointment was for the first part of my crown. Both Dr Petrilla and her assistant/hygienist, Cynthia, put me at ease. Cynthia was on top of giving me water rinses and making sure to keep my mouth clear with the suction tool. They are constantly communicating to make sure you stay calm and comfortable. I have had other hygienists at this practice and every single one was friendly and accommodating, while doing a great job with the cleanings. My husband found this practice, and the rest of my family comes here as well. We are referring more and more people here, and everyone is happy with the treatment they are receiving.

Amazing experience with Zoom whitening. Becky, the dental assistant / hygienist, was professional…read moreand courteous every step of the way. She was patient and well-informed and explained every step so that I would be comfortable throughout the entire process. We shared a room for a little over an hour because she made it efficient, and she had a great sense of humor. It was my first time - the stinging and tingling over the next day weren't fun (but it's gone now, a day later) and my teeth are already pretty white naturally, so I probably won't be doing another Zoom session. But if I did, these guys would be my very first choice. It was cost-effective ($100-$200 less than competing options) and they had some limited availability (vs. other places, which were more expensive AND less available), so I can't say enough good things. The office looked clean and professional, and the dentist who came in for the quick inspection was extremely nice - Dr. Taqvi - and if I were living in the area, he'd be at the top of my list. The front desk staff was hit or miss - some of the folks were extremely nice and courteous, while others (and I think this applies to the call center staff in DG) were not so nice and not so helpful. But overall a great experience!

Daughter sent eight billing letters at one time! What business does that. Loved my dentist but in this case when something is broke, I had to fix it by leaving after many years.

Solace Dental Group - My fears of needles withstanding, the comfort of the inner office and television, made the wait bearable. Again, the staff were spectacular

THE MOUTH MAN PROPHECIES…read more Solace Dental has wonderful staff and gorgeous facilities. It's safe to say that while most people don't enjoy going to the dentist, some may hate them more than others (although 'hate' is such a strong word I'd reserve for Yankees fans, the cheatin' Astros and people who don't use their turn signal). My wife signed up our family with Solace Dental in 2020 and it's been great ever since. You wouldn't think much of them based on their location near a Dollar Tree in the northwest corner of Boughton & Weber Rd, but Solace is pristine on the inside. The waiting room is clean, tastefully decorated for the season, and every patient room has a TV. Most of their equipment is state-of-the-art. Dr. Zaidi is simply awesome, although his brother doesn't have quite the same rapport or gentle touch. All of the dental assistants and front desk staff are SUPER friendly, possibly the nicest people I've ever encountered outside of Chik-fil-A. They're a good-looking bunch, too, though that's neither here nor there. On a prior visit they were running behind which made for a much longer wait than usual, but that was an isolated incident and recently I was in & out quickly. They accept most insurance plans and copay amounts are generally reasonable. I can't think of a negative thing to say about them. * TL;DR * Do you swear to pull the tooth, the whole tooth, and nothing but the tooth, so help you god? Whether you're scheduling a routine cleaning or a more involved procedure (queue the whirring dentist drill), Dr Zaidi and his team are dedicated to a positive patient experience. They use cutting-edge technology and are consummate professionals through & through. Scheduling and communication is always on-point. If you're thinking about switching dental providers, do it. I highly recommend Solace.

I'm super impressed with how well the practice is doing. I do feel a little bit that they try to "up-sell" me while I'm there, but no one is pushy about the additional services they offer. Dr. Zaidi is personable and friendly. I choose to bring my kids to the same practice after they were born because they really make you feel at home, when many are terrified of the dentist. I am about to embark on an Invisalign journey to straighten my teeth after having braces as a teen. Although I was originally somewhat hesitant to use my long- standing dentist over an orthodontist, I felt secure after finding out about Solace Dental's Gold invisalign provider status and having all my questions answered confidently. I will update my review upon completion of the treatment.

My husband was overcharged for mediocre care and has been paying out of pocket for his own care elsewhere. They take forever to call you back--one time the receptionist forgot to check me in and I was waiting over an hour for my appointment. They've canceled on me a lot and have very limited availability. They just canceled on my daughter Friday afternoon for her Monday afternoon appointment. When I tried to reschedule, nothing would work until 6 weeks later, meaning my daughter would go without a cleaning for 9 months. Mind you, I scheduled 7 months prior and they gave me not even a full workday of head's up. It seems like they prioritize a revolving door of clientele over building clientele from good service and care. We'll find somewhere else.
