We love taking our kids here on a Friday night. The deep dish is good and the games are a nice touch.

The food here is just bland. The service is decent. Ambiance is the typical bar. The deep dish is not worth the wait. The hot dog is a rip off. Steak sandwich tastes like boiled sliced beef. French fries are bland. I've gone here several times because it was nearby and I'm always underwhelmed. The cheese looks like Elmer's glue and once it's room temperature it's just "not right." The owner tells everyone they use good ingredients and that's nice but it tastes bland. I've asked on three occasions if I can get the hotdog alone, without the bland fries, and if I can, would I get the price of just a hotdog. I was told yes, but then a few minutes later I get served a hot dog with the fries. That's happened three times with three different servers. But the most annoying thing is... the servers know how big and how much food comes with each dish. If they know almost everything except the pizza comes with fries, why would they let me still order fries? I walked in with my GF. We get sandwiches. The menu wasn't clear that it comes with fries because the menu is on a $hitty QR code built with Wix. I order two sandwiches and an order of fries and now I have three plates of fries on the table. Not one person thought to ask me or warn me about the fries!? Unfortunately the business isn't thinking about the diners experience and relies on white people who don't know what flavor is. I've tried giving them a 2nd chance...and that was a bad idea! Yesterday, my fiancé attempted to surprise me with a Chicago pizza for my birthday dinner. Because our favorite Chicago style pizza place was not open yesterday; We decided to take a chance that was not a good idea. $80 Uber eats for a side of mozzarella sticks, a side of fries, a 16 inch pizza with sausage, double mushroom spinach and onion. You can't even see what's actually on this pizza it arrived so burnt and inedible. This pizza should've never even left the building. It should've been re-fired. My husband and I love coming here because the food is good and their are many options for him as a vegan. We came here a few nights ago, I orders a pepperoni and jalapeño deep dish and he ordered a vegan one. My husband wanted to confirm they don't use Impossible meat substitutes bc he's allergic, she went to the back and confirmed it. My husband then said let's do the vegan meat one and she asked you do want the vegan cheese right, he says yes. We wait our 45 minutes, we now have a new waitress, our previous one is now off. My pizza comes out (it looked a lil burnt), and she asked me husband did he want a vegan pizza..he says yes...she then says i figured when i saw the vegan meat but it was rung up with regular cheese. She said she was going to correct it, Lily I believe was her name, and take it off rice we were going to have to wait another 45 minutes for it to be finished. 312 Pizza has a really solid Chicago style offering here in Nashville. The deep dish had a great crust, thick and buttery, and baked just right without being soggy. The sauce was flavorful and the toppings tasted fresh, which made the whole pie feel well put together. Service was friendly and the staff checked in just enough without being overbearing. The atmosphere was casual and comfortable, a good spot to grab a slice or sit down with friends. The only reason I'd give it four stars instead of five is the wait time. It took a bit longer than expected, even for deep dish. Still, the quality of the pizza made it worth it and I'd definitely come back. read more

So I'm not a big pizza person but when I want pizza I drive 40 min from Charlotte TN to get the deep dish. When me and my fiancé got together about a year and a half ago, I found out he was a huge pizza guy. I told him I knew the best pizza outside of Chicago and for me it was the only place to go. He didn't believe me. Yes, we had to wait and hour for the deep dish (that's a given) but he had been dreaming about it ever since. Went here for Father's Day dinner with the family ... seated fairly quickly, but left after 15 minutes without any service whatsoever. Not busy - but every table in the place was dirty and we had to wait for them to clear one ... and then that was the end of any acknowledgement of our presence. Won't ever be going there again. I was excited to try this place, but my experience was underwhelming. Our group arrived around 6 PM when the restaurant was still fairly empty, yet we were told the wait for pizza would be an hour to an hour and a half, which felt excessive. The service was okay, though we had to track down staff a few times, especially as the restaurant got busier. I ordered the Cool Chicago Breeze cocktail, but I didn't enjoy it, and another person at our table even went to the bar to have hers adjusted because it wasn't good either. As for the pizza, I wasn't impressed. I opted for the thin crust since it was about $20, while a single slice of deep dish was $10--and not a particularly large slice at that. we had a super late flight out of Nashville and stopped in here for some lunch and to watch a little bit of football. The fried mushrooms were probably the best fried mushrooms I've ever had as long as they were warm. once they got cold it wasn't great but when they first came out, they were amazing. I would order them again every single time. That being said, the pizza (and we got the tavern style not the deep dish) was one of the worst pizzas I've ever had. The crust tasted gross. The sauce did nothing for me. I was shocked. I cannot tell you when in my life I have eaten pizza and not finished it or a second slice. This pizza it was Just not right. my wife thought it was okay and even took the leftovers but she hasn't eaten the leftovers after our flight so maybe she didn't like it as much either. Also our server was super nice but incredibly slow it was incredibly slow to get refills or extra ranch or whatever else but again everyone was very nice. So if you go... The deep dish pizza was very good. You will not leave hungry here! They were upfront that it takes 45 minutes, to make so we ordered it right away then got apps. They make the sausage in house and it was excellent. The mozzarella sticks were fried to perfection and thick with cheese. There preztals sticks were a little sweet for my taste. Pizza is Definitely Chicago style! Great pizza that we have been looking for since we moved to Nashville area 2 1/2 years ago!

I'm not sure if they were severely understaffed or if it typically very slow. We were seated at 7 and didn't get food until 830. They warn that deep dish will take longer (as expected) but our group got thin crust, salads, and a sandwich. I don't think they had an actual bartender so the wait staff was just making cocktails and they were not good. Would have just gotten a beer but I'm celiac. I will say, once the food arrived everyone loved their food! I asked the group for ratings and we landed on 8/10. read more

This place has the feel of an authentic Chicago pub, for those from Chicago, you'll know what I'm talking about. The waiter was friendly, but admittedly had only just started, so our service was a little rocky with him forgetting one of our entrees. Also, I appreciated the heads up that the pizza is made fresh and takes 30-45 mintues, but ours took over an hour. I love that they use local organic and non-gmo ingredients when possible. Overall a fine Chicago pizza experience. I came in on a weekday after lunch by myself to use a coupon I had. I've had it one other time but it's been over a year. I know the full pie takes a really long time and I was by myself so I opted for a single slice and a salad. Salad price and size was good - simple no frills Italian salad. The pizza was overall good and I made one slice into two servings but I'm probably biased and think it was missing something (I come from a huge pizza town). Continently located off 4th and Monroe The hot dog and fries is the only thing pictured and it was really good! The restaurant feels like an old tavern with a twist I like it very much feel at home. I've been twice and the staff is very nice, energetic and engaging. Looks like they have themed nights I went in on a Wednesday and it looked like it could be Karaoke night. I've only had the thin crust and it's good, not my top 3 but I would definitely eat again. The crust is a little harder than I like it personally. I look forward to trying the deep dish. read more

However, true Chicagoan's will be quick to note the crust is a denser version than your traditional deep dish. Verdict: one of our go to pizza joints in town. Friendly service. Great pretzels and mozzarella sticks. Solid Chicago deep dish and thin crust pizzas. We usually order from here but do like eating in as well (plus, our toddler calls it 123 Pizza, which we think is hilarious). It's usually quiet when we come and we love all the decorative homages to Chicago. The soft baked pretzels are fantastic and the mozzarella sticks might be the best I've ever had. But let's get to the good stuff: the pizza. First of all, they have both pizza by the slice and whole pizzas. A slice of pizza takes 5ish mins, a thin crust pizza takes about 20 mins, and a deep dish takes about 45 mins to make. I don't recommend the pizza by the slice for the thin crust; it loses everything that makes their thin crust good (the crispiness, the crust, etc). The only thing that's better is that it's cut like a pie, as pizza should be. The single slice of deep dish was surprisingly good though. As far as whole pizzas go, we've had both and rec both. We usually get the Capone and a 12" is more than enough for the two of us and our toddler. The thin crust is great, but the deep dish is surprisingly delicious. We lived in Chicago before moving to Nashville and I'd probably rank it 2nd (shout out to Pequod's), which is definitely saying something. It's always solid but not our #1 pizza place (though it is our toddler's). read more

1) if you want to do it right, order ahead. One of the deep dish bad boys takes 45 minutes to make it to table, but well worth it. Sauce is savory, not sweet, dough/crust is porous, (texture-wise) like a dense, heavy cornbread with some chewiness. 2) Appetizer to enjoy while waiting? The 'shrooms are fantastic- everything you'd expect, but with something slightly sweet and garlicky, briefly, on the first of the bite. Ponderous and delicious all the same time. Service is exceptional; mom and pop (as opposed to 'family owned and operated' because the woman who owned the joint came out and asked how we found the food...damned right!) joint, with all the good that comes with it. Great interior, spacious and unpretentious but not necessarily comfortable- it's a working class-down-to-the-seats kind of feel (I mean, why feel pampered when your about to gut-punch yourself with deep dish?). Talk about a place to avoid. We spent three hours at this restaurant, and in that time, all we received was a beer, salad and a pizza. Our waiter stopped by our table only three times, and each visit required us to flag him down. When we ordered, we were told they were out of thin crust dough, so we had to settle for deep dish. We were then informed the pizza would take 45 minutes to an hour. Two hours later, we were still waiting. This was honestly unbelievable. As someone from the Midwest, I can confidently say you're not missing anything by skipping this place. To top it all off, our bill did not include the Monday pizza discount or the happy hour beer pricing. We then had to wait an additional 20 minutes to get a manager to come over and correct it. I generally favor tavern - if you know, you know, if you don't, try it! The employees have always been so kind too. My only Italian beef (ha!) with this place is they are always behind which is tricky when you are doing to go. Parking is limited in the area but they have two spaces out front that uber eats always parks terribly in. So order earlier than you need to so you have buffer time. This gem of a restaurant is a MUST Visit while you are in Nashville. It is family owned and the ingredients are fresh with none of the yucky stuff! My husband loves Hotdogs so we ordered one as a appetizer while waiting for our pizza ( cause that is what people that grew up in Chicago do ) happy to report the Wrigley Dog was delish & just like you will find in Chicago! We also ordered a thin crust with Italian Sausage. It was Outstanding! The crust was crunchy & they give you a good amount of quality sausage. I am definitely going back to try the deep dish! I've been wanting to try this for a while. We finally had an afternoon/evening to spend some time over a beer while they prepared our deep dish, Chicago Style Pizza. Oh man was that worth it. Got to spend some time talking to the owners and their toddler who was professionally working the crowd with high 5's and fist bumps. I found out that everything is grandma's recipe that she still cooks regularly for the family. Mom and grandma finally got brought down to Tennessee about 3 years ago but the restaurant has been going strong for 10. Every day they shred their own cheese. Make the sauce from scratch and make probably the best pizza crust i've ever had. it's buttery and crunchy with just a hint of yeasty. Out of this world good. I have been craving a deep dish Chicago-style pizza since our last visit to Chicago in 2019 & this hit the spot! Super fresh, made to order, humongous deep dish pizza with sausage, pepperoni, italian beef, & bacon. We ordered a side of the Reggie fries as well but honestly was way too much food for 2 people. Street parking is difficult but we decided just to pay to park in the lot down the street. Typical bar ambiance with super friendly & attentive staff. FYI they quote about a 45 minute wait for the deep dish pizzas (I'm not surprised because of how big they are), but ours came out probably closer to 25-30 minutes. I've waited years to post a review of 312 Pizza. In fact, I only went again today because because of the owners (son in law) told me to give it another try. The first two times I went, I left after 2 hours without even getting a pizza. The first time my pizza was "burnt" so they put in another, the second time it wasn't even put in. The third time I went, with a letter from the owners to comp a pizza. I waited two and a half hours to get a (deep dish) pizza I preordered days in advance. This time around I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and order a thin crust pizza. As confirmed by the owner my order was inputted at 6:05 pm, I only got the pizza after walking up to the host stand and letting them know I was planning to leave. At 6:57. The owner talked with me, alluded to the pizza taking 30-45 minutes to cook.. more on that later, and went into the kitchen to handle it. I am more than happy to acknowledge that this is Oktoberfest weekend. I am sure that they had a number of to go orders that are important. The place itself was moderately busy. That being said, I occasionally work in a pizza place for fun, with stone ovens much the same as theirs, and it takes at maximum 10 minutes to cook the 12 inch thin crust I ordered, and who knows when I would have gotten it if I hadn't gone to the front. The bottom was chucky cheese/costco consistency and the top was burnt. The two saving graces of those restaurant are that their owners are quick to comp and address issues (like the staff not notifying me of how long my thing crust would take, likely because it shouldn't have been an issue in any other pizza shop) and the pizza sauce which is a 10/10. When I got my pizza I noted that the table next to me had been waiting over an hour and a half, and the owner went directly over there after making sure I was taken care off. I personally won't be going back, but it is a fun spot with a good vibe, better happy hour, and good enough pizza (great deep dish). read more

The service at this place is atrocious. I've been here three times and it seems to get worse each time to the point where we walked out before even receiving our menus this last time. There were six of us and we stood by the door for nearly ten minutes before anyone acknowledged us despite multiple employees milling about. Talk of Chicago deep dish pizza recently lured us into 312 Pizza Company. The inside is mostly dark wood with high top tables, bar seating, and some regular seating. After a short wait we were told to choose any seat. We placed an order for the fried mushrooms, Reggie fries, one slice sausage deep dish pizza, and one Italian beef sandwich. We had a bit of a wait for our appetizers (around 20 minutes), but when they arrived we enjoyed them both. We were told that the Ranch that accompanied them was house made, and it was very good. We brought half of our appetizers home to snack on another day. Our entrees came probably 5 to 10 minutes later. My slice of deep dish did not seem to have much meat. The pizza was good, but not better than some others I have tried here in Nashville (and about two times more expensive than my favorite slice at Salvo's). My husband let me try his Italian beef and it was the stand out with some really great flavor. We finished our meal and waited over twenty minutes for our check. We saw two other tables get up and go to search for someone to check out, and were about to do the same when they brought our check to the table.
