We really enjoyed our meal at Bella Napoli with friends. We sat outside on a nice summer night, and had great service the whole meal. The pizzas truly did remind us of our visit to Italy with how authentic they were. We tried the special of the night pizza which featured a ricotta filled crust, prosciutto, and zucchini covered in fior di latte (cheese). Absolutely phenomenal and I wish I could eat this exact pizza all the time. Prices are very reasonable and if you aren't starving you might be able to squeak by splitting a pizza. There were quite a few flys roaming the area but they had little devices on each table to try and help, but mother nature was insistent. It's not a crispy crust except for the edge of the pizza. It is a delicious simple tasty pizza. If you don't like that style, then you can go here for their delicious Pasta Dishes. The staff were friendly and the service was very good. There is street parking along with a pay to park lot across the street. They do have outdoor seating along with a full bar and Weekday lunch specials. I would check their hours of business before visiting as the hours are a little different than most places. Not very crowded when I went after the lunch crowd so service was great. This little pizzeria is tucked away in a quaint area outside the hustle and bustle of downtown. I wish I could say "don't believe the hype" on this place- but BELIEVE people. Probably the best pizza I've had in Tennessee. As I was eating my pizza one of the owners came by and spoke with the table next to me, the grandmother was there eating lunch with her granddaughter and the owner spent 15 minutes talking to her about Italy and everything about his home country and how she should visit visit and even gave a recommendation of places to go. All I was able to try was the pizza but if you can see from the menu, they have an extensive list of things and if they are as good as the pizza I got, I will check it out. I plan on making it in my mission to go back once a week and get a different entree, I think I'll start with the pizzas and then work my way through. read more

I will say I didn't love the pizza and the service was lacking. I went with a group of six for a birthday dinner and we spent a lot of time sitting with empty drinks, empty water glasses and empty plates. Once the food came, my pizza was so oily it was almost inedible. But everyone else seemed to like their meals. I would give them another try but really I'm giving stars for the location and ambiance. Made a reservation for 10 at 4:45PM on a Sunday via the phone because the party was too big to make a reservation online. Ordered focaccia, bruschetta, and tagliere misto which was essentially a charcuterie board (on the menu, it says serves 2, but it really serves probably closer to 3-4 as it was huge). The focaccia was essentially their pizza with no toppings, and the bruschetta was tasty. The charcuterie board had some roasted veggies, fresh mozz, and different cured meats, pretty tasty. For my pizza, I got the capricciosa which came with a bunch of different toppings and had good flavor (probably thanks to all the meats on it). The most important aspect is the crust, which was super chewy and tasty. It did however get soggy over time, and that's what I subtracted one star for. Otherwise, it was really good, and my pizza standards are quite high, having been to Italy and lived in NYC. Had tiramisu and panna cotta for dessert, the latter was super smooth and creamy and the strawberry jam on top made for some flavor. The tiramisu was moist and tasty, and both desserts weren't too sweet which was great. Service was attentive and friendly, definitely noticed upselling but that's alright. Tip included in the bill, came out to be less than $400 for 8 which was pretty good, portions were huge and everyone had way too much food. Pizzas can possibly be shared between 2 (I think 2 pizzas for every 3 people is probably good), and the pastas are huge and definitely can be shared between 2.
