Pagos is a fun spin on ice cream. It's frozen harder than regular ice cream, then scrapped into rolls. Each flavor then has toppings. I tried the mango and it was very good, creamy and flavorful, with a few bits of mango, but not an overwhelming amount. The interior is very fun, with a fair amount of seating. They are each about $12, which is a bit pricy for ice cream, though they are hand rolled. The serving is a good size, which would be my other concern, they only have one size. I've been here numerous times and always usually come here for the "halo halo how are you?". My husband and I love Ube and their Ube ice cream is on point. Definitely recommend to anyone that enjoys Ube. It has an authentic Ube flavor. The service was always attentive and kind, and everything was made quick. Told us to they could customize sugar level on milk tea but not really on other drinks. They did say they could add less syrup (which we said yes to). My partner and I ordered the passion fruit slushie and lychee fruit tea. Slushie was good and refreshing. My fruit tea was a bit on the overbearing sweet side. Came here on a Saturday night with friends and got the #2 Ain't No Body Got Thai For That!. Was nice and refreshing but does get boring quickly after about five bites. This is Thai ice cream mixed with lychee jelly and whipped cream on top. My friend got the #1 Halo Halo How Are You? which was super yummy. Would come back again for this flavor. I believe it is Ube ice cream mixed with red beans. Ube flavor ice cream is pretty rare to find in Michigan so I was super excited to see this on the menu. The ambiance was really nice. Pagos Ice Cream will always be a family favorite for me and my family. I think I've tried every single flavor available on their menu from the time that Pagos opened until now, and I take my friends here every time I come back home for vacation. This time around, I ordered the Thai ice cream and my family ordered Ube ice cream, matcha milk tea (no boba & reduced (75%) sweetness), and I believe a passion fruit drink (no boba). The Ube order is a classic, so that's always enjoyable. This time around, I ordered the Thai ice cream, asked for no whipped cream, and added boba and THAT was super awesome and it tasted so yummy! Pagos' ice cream will definitely fill you up (they have super large servings and usually give you 6 rolls of ice cream per order), and if you're lactose intolerant, I would really recommend taking your lactaid pills because it's definitely worth the eat! 4.5 stars out of 5, but I'm rounding up to 5 stars, especially since we are still raving about the ice cream, one day later. I had about 30 minutes before a movie at Emagine Royal Oak, and we decided to YOLO and trek down here - I had been wanting to try it, and I had seen pictures of the rolled ice cream all over Instagram. The ice cream only comes in one size, and is $6.95 for a huge serving. They also have bubble tea, smoothies, and other drinks for $3.95 each. We ordered the Halo Halo (pronounced "hah-lo hah-lo" apparently? I always thought it was "hay-lo hay-lo"), I was excited to try it because a friend had ordered the Halo Halo dessert at Fort Street Galley a while back and it was delicious. They were out of red bean so they mixed it with mango for us instead. We also opted to skip the whipped cream, and we did more mango instead of boba. The ice cream was DELICIOUS and it's very cool to watch them make it, as well. I have gone for rolled ice cream with a friend before but never actually had it (I had bubble tea, she had the ice cream), and I had seen it being made at 12 Oaks Mall before as well, but to actually try it was a treat. It tasted sweet but not too sweet, and I loved the toppings, they were very bubble tea-esque. I'm curious to see how this place fares in the winter - it's at Washington and 7th which, although technically downtown Royal Oak, is about a 10-minute walk from the Main and 11 Mile intersection. The reason it gets 4.5 stars and not 5 from me is that I wish they offered a smaller serving size as well - $6.95 is a reasonable price since it's so huge, but we split the ice cream, and I don't think I could have eaten the entire thing by myself. What a cute place. Love the logo. The staff is very welcoming. Only got the rolled ice cream and I would say it is decent. Not the best. Not the worse. I love the names of the flavors though. Super cute and funny. I think if I get the halo halo next time, I would prefer without the red bean or just added on top instead of mixed in with the Ube. It gives off too weird of a texture for me. But that's just me. $7 is pretty average price I would say and they give you a good portion. I thought they were doing two servings within one go since my friend got the same flavor. That's how much you get. Along with the flavors they have, they do flavor of the month which I think is cool. The place is really clean and trendy. Their menu has a great variety and you can mix and match to what you crave. I was so overwhelmed, the cashier helped me decide. I got a mango strawberry tea with tapioca boba. YUM! I had to try this place out as soon as I saw the doors open! I think it will be a welcome newcomer in Royal Oak. I live a few blocks away so I'm excited to have a new ice cream hot spot to walk to during the warm weather. The shop is open relatively late which is nice! It was clean and not too busy when I arrived. The staff were both very friendly. It was awesome to watch them make the rolled ice cream. Prices were a bit high in my opinion but this was somewhat of an experience! I really loved the taste and thought it looked cool as well! Stopped by to give this place a try during their soft opening. My husband had a bubble tea earlier that same day. During our evening trip he tried the Oreo rolled ice cream and I had their mango slushy (had no decaf teas available yet) with mango jelly and bobas, which were added later. Though I thought bubble tea usually meant bobas should inherently be involved and didn't think I should need to ask for them after the fact. On a positive note the owner was very receptive to my bobas request and quickly obliged without hesitation. I watched the woman behind the counter make my husband's Oreo rolled ice cream. It was made with 2 chocolate covered Oreos, a mason jar of cream was added on the frozen surface with 2 putty knives. Think the staff could fall back and do some drywall repair with spackle if this job doesn't pan out for them. It's fun to watch them make the rolled ice cream for the kids and adults alike. The owner made my mango slushy for me promptly. The mango slushy tasted good as did their Oreo rolled ice cream. The rolled ice cream, it takes a bit of time to make the liquid cream and mix it and get it cold and hard enough to roll it. It reminds me a bit of the Coldstone concept except the end form is rolled ice cream instead and gets a bit of perrero chocolate stick, whipped cream and an Oreo cookie for ornamentation. Our order total was $11.55. I will add that the owner has a good sense of humor and is quite amiable and very welcoming of his guests/patrons. Feels homey here. Another cool ice cream concept in Roak. Hopefully it stays around as it's good to have a custard/ice cream shop, yogurt ice cream and now a rolled ice cream for some variety and options. read more

AH-MAZING ICE CREAM! Pagos is located right next door to the place where I get my facials done so I always passed it saying I would stop in one day. I stopped in on a Saturday around 6pm with friends and there were two families ahead of us...but it was nowhere near as packed as other ice cream shops in the summer time. There is only one size to order and you get a very good amount for around $7. It was very clean inside and the staff was friendly and paying with us since it was our first time and needed to review the menu. They have very unique flavors (ever head of caramel macchiato ice cream?) as well as common flavors such as Oreo Free Tonight which was recommended to me by the cashier. Weird probably...but I found it slightly hypnotizing watching the staff make the rolls, chopping away at the cream and mix ins. I can only imaging how well they could give back massages (you'll understand what I mean when you see it) LOL. Think Coldstone, but faster and smoother. The Ice cream is FANTASTIC. It's light, soft, not overly sweet and not too filling. HIGHLY recommend the Oreo Free Tonight. They have smoothies and other drinks (I believe I saw bubble tea) as well, in addition to water and soft drinks. I am so glad that I finally quit procrastinating and tried Pagos.
