This place was virtually perfect. Beautifully renovated and decorated. Thoughtful touches and very friendly, helpful staff. Freddy is an expert host! Breakfast and coffee (oh the coffee...) was delicious. Great location! And the hot tub at night was a nice touch after walking all day! I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. My husband and I stayed in the room on the main floor (can't recall what type of room it was called) - we had wanted one of the rooms with a balcony but they were booked. Even so, we were very satisfied with everything!

This review is long overdue. My fiancé and I had a fabulous time in Old San Juan in October 2022 and are so glad we decided to stay at 352 Guest House. Freddie & Teresa are wonderful hosts and were so friendly and welcoming. They did an incredible job restoring this historic building and the rooftop lounge area and jacuzzi were an added bonus. Thank you Freddie & Teresa! We hope to be back soon

My husband and I recently went back to Puerto Rico after 9yrs! There are so many hotel options. We have stayed in some good ones, and bad ones in the past. This time we wanted to try something new. We saw the raving reviews for 352 guest house. Upon arrival you have to ring the doorbell. We were welcomed with a mimosa. The check in process was amazing. I immediately felt like I was on vacation. We were walked to our room! Talk about hospitality. Plus: + beautiful hotel + perfect location + as soon as you walk in the hotel it smells amazing! and the smell follows you throughout. - I really want To know what the scent was because I want my house to smell like that on the weekends. + private jacuzzi (you need to reserve.) - definitely a must!!!! + rooftop deck! + personnel was super friendly, kind and welcoming. + breakfast was included. It was amazing. Delicious. Perfect! I tried the bagel with lox and the French toast. Both a must. I also got an iced mocaccino so good! I got mine with no sugar and it was perfect! + one of the best beds I've ever slept in. The comforter was so comfy. Pillows were fluffy. + AC was strong. I was so cold. And had to constantly turn it off because it got too cold. + security to the max. Felt super safe and secured. Negatives: - honestly don't know? Maybe just that the shampoo/conditioner provided was really small. And there was no lotion offered. But honestly I prefer my own anyways. So I'm kind of thankful There was no lotion provided because I feel like it's a waste anyways. If you're on the fence this is your sign to book it!!!!!!! You won't regret it. Gracias por unas vacaciones tan bonitas!!!! Ojalá regrese pronto.

If I could give minus a million stars I would. I asked for the burrito for breakfast and asked to hold the tortilla. They said they can't and we're ride about it. I ordered it and just pulled off the tortilla. There was no room on my plate so I put it on the table. I was annoyed but never raised my voice. The manager was upset that I was annoyed. He came up to my boyfriend and told me that if I don't change my attitude we have to leave. I then came out to talk to him and said I'm annoyed and I have a right to be annoyed. We left a 20% tip still and nothing I said or did was rude but I'm not happy and I'm allowed to be unhappy. He said that if that's the way I feel than I need to leave. So apparently you can only go to this hotel if no matter what they do, you have a fake smile on your face.

Found this place while exploring the streets of OSJ. I really like they make you wait outside, then they will check your temperature and spray your hands with sanitizer prior to sitting you. The Tables are 6 feet apart, social distancing and wearing mask is mandatory. As always I gotta have the Bagel Arellano con Salmon ahumado (with spinach, cream cheese and capers) in a roasted poppyseeds bagels, and a glass of Mimosa. My sister had the blueberry pancakes with side of eggs and sausage. Everything was so good, servings are just enough to hold us until dinner.

Guest House 352 is an experience from beginning to end. No detail is over looked and the service is incredible. The location is central to all of the activities and restaurants in Old San Juan and it is so nice to have a quiet, well air-conditioned place to come back to after sight seeing. The space is stunning with original architectural details with modern amenities. This is the cleanest hotel I have ever stayed at and it is clear the staff is very passionate about this place. Theresa and Freddy make you feel welcome from the moment you walk in the doors and will do anything to ensure you have an outstanding visit. Some of our favorite features are the welcome mimosas, gorgeous rooftop patio with hot tub, and the included breakfast with excellent food choices and custom coffee drinks. We had such a great time that we ended an Airbnb early and booked an extra two nights before leaving Puerto Rico. Our experience at Guest House 352 was magical from beginning to end and we cannot wait to book another trip!

Stopped by for breakfast on Thanksgiving Day. We were greeted warmly and seated immediately. The waitress was great. She even showed us pictures of the food we were considering ordering. I opted 3 for $9.50. I ordered the Fried eggs, grilled cheese and Mallorca bread. The grilled cheese was two pieces of cheese grilled, not an actual grilled cheese sandwich. I already knew that since the waitress had shown me a picture. The Mallorca bread was thick. They can make a sandwich for you with it. I decided to do an open face sandwich and use the other slice for butter and jelly. The place is small, but with a good amount of seating. Parking is street parking.

One of the best food places in Old San Juan. Teresa greeted us with a warm smile and seated us next to the most beautifully decorated Christmas tree I've ever seen. The tree had hibiscuses, musical instruments and other native trinkets on it. Teresa explained that the stores and restaurants decorate their windows for a Christmas contest - I hope the guest house wins Now onto the food. I ordered eggs, bacon, link sausages, brown toast and a side of avocado. Everything was cooked to my liking and it tasted fresh. I also ordered French toast which looked amazing (I didn't taste it because I was too full). I took it to go and ate it later. It tasted spectacular even cold. I was happy to stumble upon this gem in Old San Juan, thank you for exceptional service, great atmosphere and delicious food!

We just stayed in this wonderful guest house for our 25 wedding anniversary. If you want to get pampered and taken care of do yourself a favor and stay here. It is so clean and the staff and owner are so kind and so very helpful. Also it's so close to all restaurants and bars. A true gem in Old San Juan. Just a wonderful, wonderful gem you will NOT be disappointed. Very exclusive the owner only allows guests inside this special guest house so you can relax and enjoy the peace. Stay here!!!! :)

Wow! What a gem of a hotel we found in old San Juan! Great, great location. On a street with lots of restaurants and just blocks away from the cathedral and port. Freddie the proprietor was standing at the front door when our Uber arrived and called out our names to welcome us. The entire staff is so very friendly. The hotel is immaculately clean. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast each morning with great selection of entrees. (Breakfast is included with room.) Even though the hotel is in an excellent part of town there is a quality security system at front door and in each room. In fact each guest is given an electronic room card which actually announces your name when the door is opened. The rooftop has a pleasant sitting area and jacuzzi to view the San Juan evening lights. We stayed 3 days and enjoyed our stay immensely. Highly recommend 345 Guest House.

We spent 2 weeks in San Juan and that was the best breakfast we had! The service was absolutely amazing, super nice people and the most important the food was delicious!

This is a great spot! The food and coffee are excellent and the service is incredible! The staff are all very friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend the ranchero breakfast. It was mildly spicy with incredible flavors. Check this spot out for great coffee too!

Such a great and quiet place in the heart of Old San Juan! The food, drinks and staff we fantastic!! The building was built 3-4 centuries ago as officers quarters and there are still some original pieces to be seen. Recommend this restaurant 100%. They also have a hotel upstairs and are about to open a new grill on the roof. Price-wise for the quality of food, drinks and service they were absolutely fair! We had the shrimp pasta, mixed seafood grill and mojitos.

And it turned out to be a great idea. The location is perfect. On the outer edge of Old San Juan (OSJ) you are only minutes away from anything in the area but out of the huge tourist crush from the other end of town. When looking at a map of Old San Juan you will think it's bigger than it is. To walk from the Posada to El Morro on the opposite tip of OSJ might take 15-20 minutes at a leisurely pace. I booked the standard double bed private shared room. It cost me $58 per night because I had to pay for 2 people instead of just myself. The single supplement sucks, but it's still inexpensive. The room was clean, clean, clean. And the satellite TV and air conditioning worked. I had to share bathrooms but one was always available when I needed it and they were always relatively clean if not just clean. I appreciated that the other guests during my stay were not slobs. The women working the desk and the one man I saw regularly were always polite and friendly. No issues with service. I used the washer and dryer while I was there, but I got up early to do it so there was no wait. And they are both in good condition - either new or very well-kept. All in all, my four night stay cost me $252 which includes taxes and online processing fees. That amount would have gotten me one night at a resort or hotel. For the price and location, Posada San Francisco really can't be beat, and I would stay here again. Tip: Because I stayed on the 6th floor, I didn't interact much with the other guests. If you're on the 4th floor with the dorms, you'll meet more people. Tip 2: They rent bikes for cheap. Don't forget that. I did.

Lots of restaurants and tourist shops around to venture towards and located beside the fort. It's a great location, and with another gal pal - I felt safe walking the streets around the area even in the evenings. For $34/night including taxes and fees, it's totally worth the humble hostel environment. Great balcony views, huge kitchen on 5th floor, small fridge in room, flat screen tv and personal AC unit. Rooms open with key cards and on my floor (6th) there were three bathrooms to share on the hall. Bathrooms are not dorm style where multiple ppl are in them but single bathrooms where you close the door and lock behind you. One has a shower stall and the other an actual tub. I Never had to fight for the bathroom or wait. I saw a cleaning lady everyday and the bathrooms were clean but bring your own toiletries and even a hand towel to dry off. You do get a bath towel for each person in the room. Certainly not bad at all ...

It made exploring the area so easy and enjoyable. That said, the space itself could really use some love. The overall feel was more like a motel than a cozy vacation stay. The sheets looked worn and bland, the bathroom had a humid smell, and we even found a cobweb in one of the glass cups. The toilet paper holder was rusty, which added to the sense that the place hasn't been refreshed in a while. We stayed in unit 5. My suggestion to the host: you're in the middle of so much charm and beauty -- let the Airbnb reflect that. Even small updates like upgraded sheets, replacing old furniture, and a deep clean would make a big difference. It doesn't have to be expensive, just thoughtful. With some improvements, this spot could really shine!

One that seemed empty but one was clearly occupied with shoes and clothing on the floor. I felt SO bad. Once we opened that door we just locked up and left. Not fun knowing someone's room key works for another. I almost gave this a two star, but my travel partner (mother) said three so I gave Casa Luna the benefit of the doubt. It started off so promising because I've had good experiences with hostels and this one even looked better than most. I received a message from one of the female hosts or two of them...and they provided me with a number to contact them. The second message was stating the room (room 11) is ready and they will send instructions soon. This was about 11AM and my flight was 1:45PM-4:45PM. We arrived in San Juan and had to get our rental car and find our way to Casa Luna. The streets were packed and lots of one ways. We finally found a parking garage not far and walked right up to Casa Luna. One of the good things is that it's findable on Google Maps. We happened to walk up to the main door right as a couple was and they used a key to get in. My mom wanted me to walk in after them but I didn't know if we should since I know they have separate rooms etc and I wasn't SURE what door that was although their sign was outside. The only instruction I saw was that after 6PM we'd have to use a lock box. The lock box on this door was open and empty and my mom was getting smug about how we should've gone in with the other people. I called the number provided twice before they called back three minutes later at 6:20PM. I identified myself and explained the situation. The woman tried to tell me that our door for room 11 would be up the hill and I should've Seen the picture of it in the instructions. I reiterated that I didn't receive any instructions and she scrambled to figure out what happened. She finally realized she took the key with her so she offered room 1 which was supposedly an upgrade after we said we didn't want a room with more stairs because my mom has a slight knee injury. She said this room is clean but the air wasn't turned on for us that's all. She was right. The room seems clean and the air quickly cooled us down. There's a mini kitchenette with a fridge and microwave. Some dishes for use and a dining table. The lighting is limited but they have lamps to brighten it up. Currently I'm writing this review from the bed next to the door which is off the street and has no weather stripping so air and sound leaks in and out. Sounds like there's a dozen people outside taking photos and possibly just hanging out right at the door. I'm about to push the rug up against the bottom of the door to try to muzzle the sound. The WiFi is awful. We can connect and then nothing loads. I turned off the WiFi to use my data to do this yelp review. The tv and "cable" are useless. The tv and all the programs (i.e. Netflix, Hulu, amazon video) are unusable because the tv can't connect to Internet. Seems like some other people had an issue with this too and I wonder if Casa Luna knows and doesn't care. Clean place with AC and a good location that's all I can say. The price could be dropped for lack of any real amenities though and the false advertising. Was a hassle to check in.

The guy in charge said he would be there at noon on the day of check out to inspect and return deposit. After waiting for him for 45 minutes and after various attempts to contact him, we had to leave to catch our flight. He was unresponsive until 7pm. I asked him about the deposit several days in a row and he kept saying he would get it to me through moneygram as per my request, but never did. After three or four days of repeatedly asking for the return of deposit, he decided to say that he didn't owe us any deposit and that we owed him a balance of $35 from a $75 lockout fee, which we do not have to pay because he clearly said "don't worry, I am not going to charge you" because it was not even our fault. The second and third floor each had 4-6 rooms, a full kitchen, 1 large & 1 small bathroom, and a balcony overlooking Calle Fontaleza. Glad I was able to find this place on Yelp so that I can give a review…read more After spending 7 days on a cruise, my wife and I decided that we would stay in San Juan for a few days. Our cab driver recommended this place, so glad he did. We didn't want to pay a lot of money to be at a place where we'd only show up to sleep. When you walk in, there's a steep staircase to the main floor. No lights were turned on, as if the manager was saving energy. The check in was easy, we had called from the cab and asked for availability. Glad they had a room available. The shared bathroom and kitchen were decent, though a bit far from our room. We were hoping for a room with a window, but for reserving same day I guess we can't complain. They do have a balcony which lets you enjoy the sights and sounds of old San Juan. We sat out on the balcony looking over the old Spanish architecture, and enjoying the sounds of the bustling town. This place is ideal for those who wish to save some money and be able to explore the old San Juan without breaking the wallet or stressing out over driving. I'd probably stay here on my next trip to Puerto Rico (unless I stay with old friends on the island). FYI: we experienced this hostel in July 2013. It may have changed.

The gentleman on site only spoke Spanish but you didn't need to worry about that check in was easy and quick and the private room was accommodating. The location and price is perfect for a back packer or someone who needs to sleep at night and see the island during the day. In a very touristy spot so safety isn't an issue and it's mins away from a lot of restaurants and late night bars. Check out at noon allowed me to sleep in and leave my bags while I went for breakfast !!!! If I come back to San Juan I will definetly stay here again.

We had the unpleasant experience to discover last call for food order 6:30pm. When I shared my displeasure with the manager she said the hours had changed. I pointed out that the QRCodes on ALL the tables went yo website that said 8pm. ...and the printed menus said 8pm and yhe only reason we found out that 6:30pm was latest to order food was we happened to be at the beach next to building to hear "last call" times. Everyone at hotel stated that website and printed menus were out of date....no obvious signs stated different hours. Manager very aloof, but sh did take the qrcodes off the tables...printed menus and website still wrong. We encountered another couple who ordered food at last call. They were very unhappy that food served was cold and did not have any condiments. Next issue there is only street parking...we had to park .75 miles away from motel. Concerns about safety of leaving car on street overnight.

The restaurant: gorgeous décor, mostly great food, delicious drinks right on the beach at your lounge chair! The staff: all very friendly - I especially loved Joanit and Aminda, who made me feel at home! The service: very good except when I asked for a bowl for my dog, they refused. They said they only have outside bowls for the beach that can't be used inside the hotel rooms? Also they didn't want to give me a bowl from the restaurant initially, but then a staff member helped me out later. The location: in the gated community of Ocean Park, adjacent to the trendy neighborhoods of Santurce and Condado. A quick Uber ride can bring you to Old San Juan and Ubers arrived within 5 minutes from my experience. The rooms: honestly, nothing special. The cleaning could have been a bit more thorough getting the nooks and crannies. I was glad to stay in an interior room, as I wanted quiet. If you stayed in a beach-facing room, you could hear the music from the restaurant below. I loved that the room came with free lounge chair rentals on the beach. I also loved that wifi instructions and free snacks and drinks were in the room upon arrival. I did not love that there wasn't a hair dryer in the room. The A/C was powerful and kept the room cool. One thing that was a bit surprising was that the power went off multiple times one night. The first time was at about 9pm and the room went pitch black, which was kind of scary. I was searching for my phone flashlight, but the power came back on about 30 seconds later. This happened again at 2am. The internet in the room was good for streaming initially, but after the power outage, the internet cut out about every 10 minutes. Overall, I had a great experience and I would definitely come back!

We had a few ups and downs at the Andalucia that I will go through for your consideration!…read more The good: -The owners were VERY friendly and helpful. They were always there to give us toilet paper when we ran out and answer our questions. We didn't get to see them much since we were out and about, but the few times we did they were delightful. -There was a delicious restaurant (Kasalta) and beach (Ocean Park Beach) within walking distance. -Though the area wasn't the best, the gates all locked and only the guest had a key to unlock the gates and enter the premesis. -The rooms and beds were comfortable and the air conditioning worked very well. -The hot tub was delightful, warm, and a great place to relax. The not so good: -The area was a little sketchy. People hanging out on street corners and playing loud music all night. -The air coniditioning was a bit TOO cold, even when we had the knob switched to "off". But I'm sure if you just ask them to help with making this more comfortable, they will. -There was limited parking and one time, we had to park a block down on the sketchy, dark street. The other nights though, we got there just in time to see another guest pulling out so we could take their spots. Overall, we liked this guest house a lot. The area does seem a little scary, but right down the street a few miles is San Cristobal and Old San Juan. It is also very close to its own little beach. If you stay here you must eat at Kasalta and get one of the delicious sandwiches and a sweet treat too!
