We had a last minute change of plans and ended up here! The service was good, the servers were not hovering us which I appreciated but it was tricky to get their attention at certain moments. The place is nice, the tables were a bit small for our party of 6 plus all our drinks, plates and meats but we made it work with some tetris skills. They have a buffet for all the sides which included sushi, gyozas, noodles, sauces, veggie tempura, kimchi and cucumber kimchi to name a few. The tabler also had a total eatime time- timer which I thought was cool and you could order everything directly from the tablet (minus the alcohol). The table favorites was the rib eye steaks, the bulgogi and the brisket. My drink came with a cute light and was absolutely scrumptious. I was sadlt not blow away by this place like I initially thought but I did enjoy our food and the drinks so we might be back!

Came in for an early dinner and was excited to see that their hot food station is now available! They have fried rice, shrimp tempura, shrimp cocktail, clams, different kinds of sushi, and so much more. They also added a banchan station to the buffet, which was a nice bonus! Everything was delicious as usual. The meats are always premium quality, the service is great, and there are so many options to choose from. Definitely one of those spots we'll keep coming back to!

The food and meat quality was great. The options were great. The hot food bar was okay and provides good options to hold you over while you wait for meat to cook or you just want some other options. The service was subpar at best. They changed our grill 3 times in nearly two hours. We ordered multiple side dishes in quantities of 2 and 3 and only received one. They brought us new water often but never brought ice. The table is a little tight for a group of 5 with dishes included.

2nd time visiting this location ever since they opened here in otay ranch and I'm impressed how much improvement it got Love the new onami buffet add on and how you can order off of the tablet now on your table without waiting on a server As always the meats are flavorful and super yummy! Can't wait to come back again in the future and service was great !

Been here twice and both visits have been amazing. Service was fast and attentive. Host and servers are friendly. The music is upbeat and lively. It's like being in a club. The meat selections are incredible. Quality is excellent as well as the marinaded meat flavorful. My family and I have enjoyed our time here and highly recommend. Tip: reserve your space before coming.

3.5 so rounding up to 4 We were super excited to see a kbbq spot that was dog friendly! That's actually the primary reason that drew us in because we do take our dog most places, and we love kbbq! We came on a weekday - not busy at all. We were actually the only ones seated outside. This is probably why we didn't get a lot of attention/service without us getting up to flag someone down. Staff may have been inexperienced? They didn't even offer to take any drink orders (didn't see drinks on the menu either? Idk) The meats are good, we ordered multiple rounds of brisket and beef belly and also tried pork belly and chicken steak - not the best quality compared to other kbbq spots in San Diego but it will definitely do if you don't want to drive up to convoy. Overall place is new, pretty clean and we love that they're so dog friendly. Would probably come back if we wanted kbbq and couldn't leave the pup with someone.

We came to 356 Korean BBQ & Bar on a Friday night around 6pm, right in the middle of the dinner rush. It was our first time there and we were pleasantly surprised that we were seated pretty quickly despite how busy it was. We went with the basic all you can eat menu, which was about $38 per adult and around $25 for kids under 4 feet tall. We had two kids with us. The selection looked good overall, although our family usually sticks to about three or four cuts of meat anyway. The vibe was nice and lively while still feeling comfortable for families. Service was also solid. Orders came out quickly and the staff kept things moving even with the restaurant being full. One thing that really stood out was the banchan. The kimchi had a lot of flavor and the kimchi cucumbers were excellent. Everything tasted fresh and well prepared. The meats came out fast and were surprisingly flavorful. Even with the basic menu there was more than enough variety for us and everything we tried cooked up nicely on the grill. I have seen some lower ratings mentioned in older reviews, but many of those seem to come from the soft opening period. Based on our visit it feels like things have improved since then. The only downside for me was the lighting. It is pretty dim inside which creates a nice atmosphere, but it made it hard to tell when some of the thicker cuts of meat were fully cooked. I found myself lifting the meat toward the light or using my phone flashlight to check it. Overall it was a great experience and we will definitely come back again. 4 stars.

Food was excellent and truly delicious. Service, however, was not as smooth. We could hardly get our server's attention when we needed assistance -- not because of poor effort, but because he seemed stretched thin attending to many other customers. Our server was actually wonderful, very apologetic each time an order was missed, and we appreciated his professionalism. The ambiance was just so-so. A few suggestions that could really improve the overall experience: 1. For parties of 4 or more, having at least two grills available would make dining more efficient. 2. Adding a call button on tables would help guests request service without waiting. 3. Installing a mirror near the bathroom sink would be helpful. 4. A baby changing table in the restroom would be a great addition for families. Overall, the food was fantastic, and with a few improvements, the experience could be even better.

This place is a quick easy kbbq fix. The lunch special is a great deal. All I eat is beef belly and sides so I'm good with that. We were early enough for the service could be good. The guy was good and attentive. They prob need more workers at certain times because they seem to get busy quick. Sides could be better! Gets the job done and great value. The tables are kinda off and everything seems to be cement. The beef belly was good, sides were mid. Kimchi was not great at all. Japchae is tasty!!! Will go again

Shout out to Jessica! Very sweet and accommodating. The customer service is excellent! The place is clean and since it's newer, not a lot of smoke, therefore we didn't smell like grilled meat! There's only 2 of us. My hubby ordered the Chuck eye and another steak meat and I had the beef brisket. We just ordered the basic package, but we're pretty much stuffed! It's worth coming here! We'll defínitely come back.

One of the best Korean BBQ spots in Chula Vista! Fresh, high-quality meat, delicious side dishes, and excellent service. The restaurant is clean, modern, and the atmosphere is great. Everything came out fast, and the staff was very attentive. I love the patio, we always eat at patio. Highly recommend 356 Korean BBQ & Bar!

I love going to 356 BBQ, and today I discovered they just added a buffet bar, I'm so excited! Turns out it started this week, and even though the menu isn't huge, there's enough variety that my kids can pick and choose what they like. What's even better is that the menu keeps rotating,so I'm already looking forward to seeing what's new next time. Definitely going to make this a regular stop!

We came here during their soft opening and unfortunately had a disappointing experience. Their posted hours say they close at 11 PM, so we arrived at 9:10 PM with no wait. They seated us right away and let us start ordering. We ordered the lower priced menu around $40ish. About 10 minutes later, the server came back to tell us they were actually closing the kitchen early because not many customers came in and it was Halloween night. They were already doing last call, so we had to rush and order whatever meats we thought we could finish just to make the AYCE price worth it. The meats selection and sides were really good, but the whole meal felt rushed, and it really seemed like they just wanted to close as soon as possible even though we were still well within their posted hours. We did leave full, but it wasn't an enjoyable or relaxed dining experience. I understand it was a slow night, but if you're going to close early, customers should be told upfront before being seated--not after already starting the meal.

The other day, I got the tri tip sandwich with chimichurri. The order came up quickly. I live a couple of blocks away. By the time I was home, the sandwich was cold. Not lukewarm, not tepid, but cold. But the REALLY disturbing thing was the bun/bread. It fell apart, into large chunks, the minute I opened the paper wrap up. A sandwich has two major components, BREAD and the filler. Can't you have decent fresh bread? This seems to be a challenge lately for the Grand Ole BBQ. A couple of months ago, I got the hot links, and they were served on the most run of the mill, grocery store quality, HAMBURGER bun. LINKS, folks, should be on a hot dog shaped bun, not cut up into small pieces and placed on a cheap, round, bun. I can't decide if this is hipsters, serving food and doing it their way, with whatever happens to be available at the moment, or if this is management saying "we don't care about your expectations." It isn't novel, to put links on a hamburger bun, it doesn't make it artsy, or unique, it makes it look like an afterthought. So does try-tip on a bun that wasn't. And the chimichurri- driest, almost oil-free chimichurri I've ever had, I had to add oil, at home, to be able to spread it. Good chimichurri isn't difficult, I make it all of the time. Make an effort people. Restaurant are closing. Disregarding your customer is one quicker way to meet that end.
