This place is a must try! Everything we ordered was delicious. I had the beef bulgogi plate, dumplings, and kimchi, and every bite was packed with flavor. The beef bulgogi was tender, well-seasoned, and the portion was definitely enough to share. On top of the great food, the customer service was outstanding. Everyone was friendly and welcoming. I happened upon this place by chance and decided to pop in. The interior was clean and brightly lit with a TV playing some sort of show. No one else was in there besides staff. You order at the counter and wait for your food. I ordered a chicken and beef plate and got a miss soup. The service took a little while as they heated my meal on the flattop. The miss soup was very homey and comforting on a cold day if a bit too much saltiness. When I received my food I noted that it wasn't scoarchingly hot as food off the grill would be expected to be. It was hot, but no wisps of steam greeting my nose. The rice is good, nice and sushi quality with an excellent mouth feel but the meat itself was lacking a bit. It wasn't extremely tender but it did have whatever savory flavor it was doused with on the grill. The vegetables are standard. Boring with a touch of vinegarette. I wasn't wowed by the experience, but there are certainly good aspects of my meal and I can't say anything actively made me want to stop eating. read more

I love Roll and Grill! This is my favorite restaurant in El Segundo! My mother and I eat here so often, sometimes multiple meals a day. The Poke is delicious, the sushi is fresh and the Korean food is great! I like the spicy pork with a side of kimchi. The best part is the owner John and his wife. They are such genuinely kind people and really care about their customers. They are like family! Nice simple atmosphere for a quick bite to eat. We ordered their poke bowls, spicy pork and rainbow roll. The poke bowl with the house sauce was so tasty. Normally a korean spicy pork plate would cost over $17 these days, but at $14 it was great deal as well as being delicious. My wife loved the rainbow roll which had quality fish and a perfect amount of rice. The owners were incredibly friendly and made our first experience very memorable. 1st time walking in. I was ordering a poke bowl, when the lady said pay first. She was rushing me because she had to make the other orders of customers who already ordered. After 10 mins she then asked what I wanted in my poke bowl. She started to make it and I asked her for half rice/ salad. She said yeah I already did that. Ok (rude) She put everything in it after asking me if I wanted everything in it. Ok? Took my food to go. After opening it there is hardly any salmon or tuna. It's about 1 teaspoon. I stopped by twice 3xs. First time i asked for a roll from menu...was told by the gentleman behind the counter, that it would take "too long to make."???!!! Gave it a chance, anyway, got an order to go. Quantities were lacking compared to the price....got a half of portion I expected, as shown on menu. Still decided to stop by a second time for their sushi. Place was closed during lunch hour, with confused people waiting outside. No matter ..came back a third time for my sushi craving. No sauces given... had to ask for sauce for gyoza... was told they didnt have any, and was given "one" packet of soy sauce, i had to ask for 2 more! Tried to order edemame...NOT available anymore, although it's still in menu. For the price, not worth the assumption it will be a good experience. I never write negative reviews, and even though Im hungry for lunch, this had to be said. I hope your experience is better than mine! Not cool to spend almost 30.00 (no drink!) on one sucshi roll and a side of gyoza...with no sauce! Lol smh. read more

Absolutely DISGUSTING service. Do not recommend at all. The female worker is the only good feature to this place. Her male counterpart however, has no idea what customer service is. I had tears in my eyes at this terrible interaction. Don't even worry asking about dietary restrictions or asking to take your allergies out of a meal, you'll be met with "I already know that!", "can you just order?!!" Or just completely cut off or met with a god complex attitude. Didn't even get to order a drink or anything else to the order because he added the total and walked off for 5 minutes. If I can give this place 0 stars I would. I came here on my lunch because they advertised to have poke bowls and they do not have a full poke bar. The man asked me to pay first I waited over 20 mins and after noticing he was making everyone else's food even people that arrived after me. I asked for a refund he rushed to make my plate without asking me what I wanted on it. I asked for spicy salmon only and he tried to gas light me by adding spicy tuna in it and telling me it was mushy salmon. At this point I was already passed my lunch time I asked him for a refund again and he refused. Took the plate and threw it in the trash. HORRIBLE SERVICE. read more
