3Mix Entree Ribs, Burnt Ends and pulled pork
    Meghan B.

Son and husband were craving bbq tonight. Tried for first time and it exceeded expectations! The smoked wings with the 3Mix, was so good we forgot to take a picture of the wings! My husband got the 3Mix entree, ribs, pulled pork and burnt ends. Said it was fantastic. My son got the special, 3Mix patty melt. He was so full but adamant. He had to take the rest home because it was so good. This place caters and does takeout. Perfect for a weekend game, a night out or hanging at home with the family. If you haven't been, you must try!

Started off with the Garage Beer draft (endorsed by Travis Kelce's older brother) and it was very light but good. 3-Mix was pork, chicken and brisket that was good but each was a little dry for my taste; but easily remedied with some good sauce of which there was a nice variety. Cold Slaw was good and really good baked beans and cornbread. Will definitely be back

First, Erin, my server was on point. She's friendly. Knows the menu. Knows the company. And is very helpful. And the food doesn't disappoint at all. I had the Colombian Lentil Soup and rice. I'd come in any day just to have that soup. It probably won't happen because the BBQ and sides are so good, but it would be worth a trip in and of itself. I ordered the 3Mix combination play which lets you choose 3 meats including ribs if you would like. The ribs incur a minor up charge but worth it. I had brisket, turkey and ribs with green beans and slaw as my sides and the plate comes with a piece golf their cornbread and a little honey butter. The sides were very good especially the green beans. Wonderful flavor including just a little char and garlic. The slaw uses their Bianca Sauce as the dressing and that Bianca sauce is the best Alabama style white sauces I've had in the St. Louis area. The meats were all well smoked, held, and served, as you can see from the photo. The turkey retained its moisture and was seasoned perfectly. It was a perfect pairing with the Bianca sauce. The brisket wasn't just over trimmed dry flat cut. It was lightly trimmed so retained some perfectly rendered fat and was the epitome of 'the tenderness'. I enjoyed it with the sweet and Memphis sauces. The ribs were absolutely perfectly seasoned, smoked, held and served as well. They were not fall off the bone. Though pull-able they required you to bite the meat off the bone but tender clean bites were definitely what I got on the 4 short end bones I received. These paired best IMO with the Jalapeño Carolina sauce and the Memphis sauce. That Jalapeño Carolina sauce is their best and is a nice variation of a South Carolina mustard sauce with just a little pepper bite. Good stuff. If you like good BBQ served well get by 3Mix BBQ soon. Show them some love.

Fantastic food! I heard about this place opening, but haven't tried it yet. So glad I did! I ordered the turkey plate with green beans & baked beans & it comes with cornbread. The turkey was moist & seasoned well. I liked the sweet BBQ sauce. The cornbread was great! Very moist & served with honey butter. The green beans are high quality - fresh green beans sautéed in seasoning & topped with parmesan cheese. The baked beans are good, slightly sweet but a little plain tasting. Maybe a bit more seasoning to kick up the flavors. I got my order to go & realized I forgot to order one of their sourdough chocolate chip cookies. I really want to try that... can't wait to go back for more BBQ and dessert next time! Also the workers were very friendly!

A unique barbecue spot hidden in a plaza right off Manchester Rd. 3Mix takes your classic barbecue and adds a little latin flair! The Arepas were great! I tried a chicken and a pork one and they were very generous with the portions of meat! The corn cakes make this appetizer distinctly Latin and a fun variation on your typical barbecue. For being in a plaza they have a large outdoor seating area that would work great for groups.

Guess who's back!? If you were a fan of GastroPit (or just love legit barbecue), you're going to be happy to see 3 Mix BBQ. Two of the folks from GastroPit teamed up with a third partner to bring this new spot to life, and a lot of those fan-favorite menu items have made a comeback. The space has an open dining room with a relaxed vibe. Service was super friendly and attentive. No bar service just yet, but they said the paperwork is in process--so that's coming soon. I came for lunch and was impressed with how many options they've got on the menu. I went with the Smoked Beef Brisket sandwich--a heaping pile of perfectly cooked brisket, tender, juicy, and packed with flavor. Topped with cheese and crispy onions, it was exactly what I was hoping for. Tried out some of their sauces too--the white Bianca was my favorite with brisket, with the Memphis sauce close behind. For my side, I couldn't resist the seasoned tots. Sure, nothing fancy--but crispy, salty, and just the right call alongside barbecue. So glad to see this crew back in action. Great food, great service, and lots to look forward to once the bar opens. I'll definitely be back.

Service was very good. Had not been here since new ownership began. Had the wings and brisket at the servers suggestion. Overall both were disappointing. Wings lack flavor and were almost undercooked. Brisket was days old and dried out.

Went there Sunday for lunch. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich and green beans as my side. The pulled pork was tasty but it was a little dry so I used their sweet barbecue sauce to juice it up. The green beans appeared grilled but they needed more time on the grill. They were seasoned nicely. I received great service sitting at the bar. There's a large parking lot in front of the restaurant.

Delicious food. We have being looking for a bbq place since I moved to the area. A place where you don't need to add sauce or seasoning extra for the meat taste good. 3mix BBQ has definitely a great flavor. The staff went over and beyond, for my kid to be happy.

New BBQ place on Manchester. Service was great and they have a lot of outdoor seating. We got the combo plate with burnt ends, ribs, and pulled pork with fries, cornbread, and mac n cheese. Everything was great. Cornbread was my absolute favorite. Burnt ends had perfect flavor as well. Would definitely recommend!

This restaurant is easy to get too, has adequate parking and the restaurant itself is casual and inviting. The staff welcomed us and were very friendly and attentive. Our young waiter was especially helpful with the menu. The food came quickly and was good. Unfortunately, not great. My wife and I both got the trio of meats, brisket, pulled pork and chicken. All were cooked well but under smoked for my liking. The sides we tried were all fresh but again, just good not great. We will try Gastropit again but honestly have had better tasting barbecue at nearby competitors. I know it is relatively new to the scene so overall, it was a good experience!

Then I typed in some great barbecue restaurants on Yelp, and there appeared Sawmill BBQ Pub & Grill. It looks like just a regular bar with a music stage, but don't judge a book by its cover - the food is amazing. The portions are massive and the prices are reasonable, as are the drink prices. This is definitely more of a locals joint, but definitely worth stopping in for anyone if you want some St. Louis style BBQ. The brisket platter was the best - big portions, 2 sides and 2 pieces of garlic bread. The Jalepano Mac and cheese balls are awesome, so much flavor. The salmon platter was also very tasty and fresh. The live music is fun (but loud), and our waitress was nice. Overall, if you what BBQ and are in the area, this is definitely worth checking out.

I love an authentic Route 66 stop, and this is certainly one of those. From the road, it's difficult to tell how big the place actually is. Once inside, it opens up and really shares its character. We went on a Thursday evening, and it was packed, but not uncomfortable. There was plenty of room for everyone. Our server was friendly and efficient, and she seemed genuinely invested in customer experiences. Our food was outstanding, and there was plenty of it! We even had room for dessert: a chocolate chip cookie and ice cream. It was the size of a dinner plate! This was an outstanding indulgence, and I can't wait to have another one, as soon as my glycemic index allows. LOL The restrooms were pretty darn rough. Urine all over the floor, overflowing trash can, filthy toilet, etc., gave the impression that it hadn't been cleaned since the Route 66 days. Here, I am not focusing on that, since it's not what we came here for. Our overall experience was fantastic and memorable. We look forward to returning to this special historic establishment.

It's just kind of dirty everywhere. Our table had that tacky feel to it. There were dirty dishes piled up in a lot of places and about 30 or so dirty glasses piled up by the bar. Our server wasn't great. We waited a few minutes before she came over and took our drink order. She never delivered our drinks to us. After a while, we realized they were just sitting on the bar. The bartender saw us looking at them and delivered them to our table. After all that, the drinks were not good. We questioned whether there was actually any alcohol in them. We were finally able to order our entrees. I wanted a pizza. I was told they weren't doing pizza, brisket, and something else that night. She said I could have flatbread instead, so I got that. I ordered it with pepperoni, pineapple (yeah, I know - but I like it), and red onion. It was not good. The sauce was bad. It has to be plain label crap from a store somewhere. The toppings were few and far between. I didn't even eat half of it and just gave up. When our server asked if I wanted a box, I said no because it wasn't good. She said, sorry - didn't ask what was wrong with it, etc. My husband ordered the Bros. Champion Burger with tots. It's a burger with pulled pork on it. His burger was way overcooked. The pulled pork seemed to be okay. He loves tots and didn't eat them. He said they tasted like they'd been cooked in oil that had been used to cook a lot of other items as well. You may think that maybe they were understaffed. I don't believe so as I saw a number of staff members standing around chatting frequently. Our server was sitting down drying silverware. We were ready to pay and get the heck out of there. We had to get another server, to go get ours because she wasn't looking around, not checking on her tables, nothing - just chilling and drying flatware. There was absolutely nothing that made us want to go back.
