Specially during this time. I wasn't sure if anyone still open. So I called the owner Alan. He told me he would wait for me if I can make it by 6:00 pm. I was so relieved when I heard that. So when I went yesterday after work he was still in the store waiting for me with Closed sign on his door ! I showed him my phone and I said it totally dead ! If you can't fix it I have to buy a new one. He said No worried I will fix it right now if you can use it again No need to buy a new phone. I said Now ? You can fix it ? Yes ! He said you can have your phone back soon please just sit down and relax ! I l know it's silly but he is that kind the person really makes my worries disappears immediately ! Lol. I broke the glass on my iphone 6s last week, thought for sure that I'd have to live with it until the end of the pandemic. But my son-in-law found 3R TEK on yelp and I'm so glad. Went for a new screen and battery on my iPhone. The new screen bends, pressing down on sub screen making a swirly rainbow thing down the middle of the whole screen. And the new battery after about 4 months barely lasts 8 hours with moderate usage. Nice and friendly service but using crap parts. read more

Overall experience was great. Being so dependent on my smart phone, it was important to me to get my broken screen replaced ASAP at any cost. I can change the screen myself but waiting for the parts and researching the job on YouTube is what I didn't want to do. I have an iPhone 6. Aside from the cracked screen there were missing pieces of the glass and 1/3 of the screen wouldn't respond to touch. I wont go in to all the details. I'm still mad as hell. All I will say is this guy should be running a cell phone repair business ONLY. I was attempting to buy a used computer from him and he took all day long to "update" it. Then when questioning him more about some simple things like how to enlarge fonts and icons because I have bad vision, he couldnt even tell me how to do it. He also told me the day before that i could call him anytime I had any questions about Windows 10 because I'm not familiar with it. Then today he told me any support from Microsoft OR HIM...would be very costly. I finally said ok ok ok I'll just take it!!! I asked if there would be a "guarantee"..He said No. And here's the clincher!!!... i pulled my card out of my wallet to pay him for it and after a day long of frustration, confusion and not even suppose to be out of my home... he says " Oh no...only CASH. I told you 4 times..Only CASH. I was furious!! What kind of business person in brick and mortar doesnt take a debit card for their service?! Last night I dropped my iPad at an awkward angle while it was charging. Unfortunately the top of the lightning connector broke off and became lodged in the lightning charging port of the pad. Obviously, I was super upset. During this SIP event, my iPad has been getting a ton of use and I was really upset at the idea of not having it. Plus, given the SIP I didn't know where to turn to get it fixed or replaced since Apple (my usual go to) is closed indefinitely. So as of 9am this morning I started calling/emailing businesses to see who was open and who thought they could fix it. I talked to Alan at 9:30 and he agreed to meet me at 10:30. When I got to his shop, he looked at my iPad and said even though it looked like a bad break - the whole port was bent and the pin was jammed way deep inside - he assured me he could fix it. Sure enough, within a few hours he called to let me know that my iPad was indeed fixed and ready. He fixed it as good as new, it's charging with no problem and he charged me a really reasonable price for the fix. He even provided me with a new lightning cable for a reasonable add on cost. Alan worked quickly, he was extremely friendly and good natured and really knows his stuff. I will definitely return to him for any future iPad/iPhone repairs. I cracked my Surface Pro 3 screen. I was not able to find anybody but Alan at 3R Tek to fix it. I really needed Alan to fix my screen quickly because I need the Surface Pro for my work. I have software that may only be used on that device. He put a rush on it and got my computer repaired before my next job. I also observed that his pricing to replace cracked phone screens is less than what I pay elsewhere. When I was searching for somebody to fix my screen, I found Alan's website was nicer than other service providers and later I found his shop space having a professional appearance. Went there to fix my laptop. On our first conversation, he clearly mentioned that the price quote was $80 and I have my two other friend who testified that. I didn't noticed that he wrote $180 on paper. He took so long just to get my laptop fixed than mentioned . Also, I felt like he didn't ordered any part- latch/top cover because it was scratched and seemed like my old one. When I ask him if I could get my old cover, he said he trashed it. I think he was expensive for minor fix on my laptop or at least he should have returned old devices parts to his customer to prove that the device has been fixed. read more

I am so totally impressed with this company and the proprietor who I believe said his name was Alan. He could not have been nicer, he could not have been more accommodating, he could not of had a better sense of humor. He took my sad looking iPad screen, replaced it with a shiny new one, straightened an edge or two; he got me in and out in the amount of time he said that he would for the money he quoted. Alan is fantastic! I requested a quote through yelp and immediately heard from him. His quote was very reasonable and he said he could do my repairs within 20 to 30 minutes. With great reviews on yelp I decide to take the drive to El Cerrito and have him work on my phone. My iPhone 6s was giving me so many issues with the battery not holding a charge. At 100% battery if I unplugged my phone from the outlet, it would die within minutes. I also had a slightly cracked screen. Alan delivered on everything he quoted. Excellent customer service, knowledgeable and fixing my phone within 20mins while my fiancé and I waited. I am so happy I took my business to his establishment. Excellent service. My Samsung Galaxy 7, fully charged a few hours before, suddenly wouldn't turn on. I took it to Alan, who noticed it was getting hot to the touch.
