We came across this quaint little restaurant in Sydney and we were glad that we waited in line for breakfast! The staff were super friendly and the food was great. It was so good we didn't even take pictures of the food. It is a small spot but definitely worth the wait. Prices were fair and reasonable and food portion size was large, warm, and fresh. Would definitely recommend to add this to your list for breakfast/brunch spot!

I LOVE THIS PLACE! The vibes are great, the staff are so sweet, and the food is delicious. They have a large selection of eggs Bennies and other delicious food. It's in a perfect spot to sit outside and enjoy the sun. Will be returning :)

Cute cafe off of Beacon Avenue. Probably the best breakfast in town. The space is tight, so you'll probably have to wait for a table. It's definitely worth the wait. We love to eat at the counter near the window. A good place to people watch and get to know the locals. The Bennies and Omelettes are the best in town. Even though the wait staff is usually running around keeping up with the customers, they are so, so sweet. A must for breakfast if you are in the Sidney area!

Great lil brunch cafe in the heart of Sidney. Much better than any of those chain restaurant options (nice to support local too). Arrived at about 12:30 on a Sunday and there wasn't a wait for a table (it gets line-up busy on weekend mornings). Ordered Veggie Benny served with a side of pan fries. It was homestyle tasty with fresh spinach, slices of tomato and pesto, and a good heaping of hollandaise sauce. The Grand Slam was good with your typical egg, toast, sausage and bacon. Everything was cooked perfectly to preference. And service was attentive and smiley. A solid place to get your breakfast on in quaint Sidney by the Sea.

The food was great. One of the staff had a weird sustained eye contact thing going. Is that a technique to get bigger tips?

Good breakfast/brunch place. Pretty good value. Not much seating though so there can be a wait. Try takeout and eat it on the Sidney pier.

I sure don't know who the folks are that lavish praise here because our experience certainly fell short of those kudos. To be fair, the wait time was tolerable and service was ok. But that's where our kudos end. It all then comes down to the food offering! Everything starts with a cup of joe, and the beverage they served was bitter and terrible (hello, Starbucks). We then changed to decaf, and unfortunately that tasted of residual pot cleaner with a hint of some form of coffee. Egad. Aside from its mediocre taste, the main dish was also a disappointment: the so-called Traditional Benny with .95 cent shredded potato option. Found it difficult to cut then chew through the muffin base, and the few bacon hunks that were hiding just under the egg and hollandaise sauce were as tough as genuine shoe leather. To add 'insult to injury', the shredded potatoes lacked any sort of taste (other than chopped straw) -- typical of inexpensive (reheated) frozen side-foods. To top it all off, while paying the bill they scattered a few hunks of packaged bubble gum onto the table. Meh, that was barely edible too. I think we were at our table for maybe 1/2 hour and could hardly wait to leave. At $50+ for barely edible food, we can't see ourselves returning to five and dime.

An absolute must, served warm with a fragrant and flavourful olive oil. The olives are so simple yet the chef adds a ton of behind the scenes flavours (think, marinating in a bunch of complimentary flavours). I ordered the vegan and GF dal one night! Huge portions with fresh shaved vegetables and a generous serving of lentils. A hearty and comforting meal that packs a ton for protein. I was utterly stuffed for hours after this meal. Next night, I ordered the vegan and GF pizza (no fake cheese, just a ton of partnered vegetables, herbs, and pine nuts). I loved this dish. Again, huge servings and a ton of delicate touches. The roasted squash added such a lovely texture and the dill and pine nuts were an excellent choice. We also got the salad, which was anything but basic. Pine nuts and herbs and a sweet, savoury dressing. It was all super excellent. Thank you for making our island experience truly remarkable!

Jon had the salt creek scramble: cheddar cheese, spinach, tomato, zucchini, onions, peppers, and mushrooms. His scramble was delicious but it was placed on top of fried potatoes that didn't seem well seasoned. He had a choice of pancakes, French toast, fries or toast. He opted for their cinnamon roll pancake upgrade! OMG! This was the most AMAZING pancake I've ever tasted! All the yumminess of a cinnamon roll.... Butter, cinnamon and sugar swirled in an amazingly soft pancake batter! It looked and tasted simply DIVINE!!!! I ordered their Reuben sandwich. They were out of Swiss so I opted for pepper jack cheese. I had a choice of salad, fries or pasta, but I asked for fresh fruit and they were super nice to oblige. Jon's coffee was a bit sludgy. They really need to get an espresso machine. Their fake vanilla cappuccino machine is from 1980's gas stations! I CLEANED my plate. Not a thing left! So yummy! We even purchased their cinnamon roll to go! It too was super yummy the next day!
