So I bought the largest personal training package available. Right of the bat I stated receiving texts about him not being able to show up to a session for one reason or another(5-10 sessions in). We talked about it and he apologized and said it won't happen anymore. It continued and he became short and rude with his response to me about being unhappy with his lack of ability to keep a session time. Fast forward to 26 (out of the 50 I purchased) sessions spread out over 5 months when it was supposed to be 2 months because of the amount of cancelations. I can understand once or twice, stuff happens (to me too), but it was 16 times. Then he ghosted me for a few days when we were supposed to have a session. At that point I was irritated and wanted to talk to him about what we can do to better the situation, he responded with "am I going to get a lecture?". So I asked for a refund and he then ghosted me for another week then claimed to be sick at home (so sick to be able to make a phone call or send a text). So the next time I talked to him on nov 30th he says he will take care of it. It is now December 19th and I have tried to get ahold of him numerous times to no avail. So I have taken steps to pursue him in small claims court.

I used to do marathons and tris, but got really out of shape and gained a lot of weight. I had persistent shoulder problems and plantar fasciitis. he worked with me on a tailored plan, and my shoulder issues are 100% gone. I like the format of having a couple people in there at the same time, it feels less like someone is hovering over you, and makes it a bit social. I think it also makes it more affordable, which is why i am still going a year later! I always have a good time and work hard when I go. Since I started I'm down 20lbs, 3-4 in on my waist, and 2 shirt sizes. Stronger than I've been in a long time, or maybe ever. Really enjoy it - keep it up!

Workouts at the Compound are tough, hardcore, fast-paced, and Matt and Tanner will push you to be the best version of YOU! When I got into grad school, I had a hard time balancing keeping up with reading AND going to the gym. It was easy to decompress with a beer at the end of the day. Before I knew it, I was 159 lbs, the most I had EVER weighed (and I'm 5'1) . I was not happy, something needed to change. I went back to Tanner with full time training, got a nutrition plan from Matt a few months later, and now I have almost reached a 30 lb weight loss goal!
