Bob fixed our old air conditioner on contract for our home warranty company. He was extremely thorough, forthright, and pleasant. He answered all my questions patiently. One thing to note. While he's with a customer, he won't take other phone calls out of respect. Call it old-fashioned, but I understand his philosophy of giving each customer his full attention. You will see that previously I left a nice review for this company. I saw that they had numerous poor ratings, and I wanted to help them out by giving them 5 stars. I shouldn't have. About 10 days after the previous "repair", my A/C died again. So I called them during business hours. Got the voicemail, and it was full so I couldn't leave a message. I tried again. Same thing. So, I had literally no way to contact these people during their business hours on a 115 degree day. Fast forward to the next day. I called from 7:30 am until about 11. Got the voicemail...and its full. Can't leave a message. I texted this number. I did not get a message stating that it's a landline. So, I presume they got the text. But no response or answer. I scrambled most of the day after this. Had to find a hotel etc... But I called back later that afternoon. Got the voicemail, but it's not full anymore. So somebody must've decided to check voicemails. But surely no call back to me...because I couldn't leave a message earlier. Now let me share what you will encounter on this voicemail. Because it's about 67 seconds long. And you will hear it. I assure you. You are going to hear the 14 different reasons why they aren't answering the phone. The person may be out delivering parts, or on the other line, or taking lunch or a bunch of different scenarios that they require you to be aware of. Then she explains when they will return calls or schedule appointments. Finally, she insists that you not call back again or leave another message because this will impede their ability to work efficiently at returning a call. All and all, you are going to feel like IF they do get around to calling you back, you darned well better be grateful. The previous "repair" was paid for by my warranty company. But Bob did convince me that I needed to have it cleaned, and that cost me $225 that I paid. Two previous companies had insisted that I needed an entirely new unit, and Bob explained that they were lying. They were just looking to gouge me. But he obviously didn't fix it. The warranty company will do anything to not replace a unit. So now, I've incurred another deductible. Despite the fact that it obviously wasn't fixed by 4AC. I sure hope that I am not forced to deal with these guys again. If Bob comes out, he will probably get you running again. But it's counter productive to be forced to deal with an AC company because your warranty company requires it, and they can't be bothered to answer a phone. My AC is out on a 115 degree day. But you'd almost think that you work for them, when dealing with 4AC. You need to somehow track them down. Or pray that they will call you. Shame on them. If not for the contract with FNHW, I am pretty sure they'd be out of business. Nobody would CHOOSE to work with them. You will see from the other reviews, it's almost all FNHW customers that are forced into this relationship. read more

We were dispatched to this company and I cannot believe how incredibly rude the lady we talked to was. We called on thursday with a broken AC unit in 115 degree heat. I know these places are busy, but she said the soonest they could even come look at it was "next week" with no apology or any further information. Wouldn't even put us on a waitlist or anything. We contracted service through this provider. The first time they came out they told us they needed the unit off for 5-6 hours before they could assess and that we needed to have them come back out. Today they were supposed to show up and the guy called and said he'd be there in 15 mins. 30 mins passed so my husband started calling to see when he was going to be here. In the span of 3 hours he called the guy who called 9 times and the office 3 times. The "owner" Deborah was rude and said the man came out and it was our problem the ticket is closed. This company was dispatched by our home warranty company to fix our dishwasher. The provider showed up 2 hours past his time window and refused to wear the disposable mask and shoe covers I was providing for him. I told him that wouldn't work for me and I would need someone else to come. I called the office and the cranky lady answering the phone couldn't have cared less. I cancelled the service request with my warranty company. I would advise anyone who is assigned 4 A/C to request a different company before wasting 5 hours like I did today waiting. read more

I have used 4 A/C twice in the last year and a half thru my home warranty and my only regret is that I did not post a review the first time. Both times I received EXCEPTIONAL service. I contacted my home warranty, ORHP, on 03/07/18 for a summer tune-up on my a/c unit. ORHP immediately sent an email, Service Request Dispatch Confirmation, to let me know when to expect a call from 4 A/C to schedule service which stated by the end of the following business day. Debra called at 3:02pm on the 7th to schedule for the 8th (WOW talk about quick service!) I asked if I could schedule for the 16th. Not a problem she said, how about between 8 and 11am? Perfect! To my surprise at about 8am, today the 16th, Miles the service tech was at my door ready to start. He explained what he would be doing at the beginning and continued as he was servicing the unit. As he was going into the attic to check the air handler I stated that I had a fear that the condensation lines would get plugged up and overflow. While he was up there he took a picture of the unit and explained that I have three levels of protection if that were to happen. AMAZING! Miles went above and beyond my expectations. As a matter of fact everyone that I have dealt with at 4 A/C has exceeded my expectations and I've been told that I'm a hard person to please. Had an appointment set from 9-12 to check my AC units. I called at twenty to 12 to see if they were still coming. The lady said she would call Robert have him call me back. Robert called at twelve to say he was running late and would probably be at least another 45 minutes. I understand that the three hour window is because of things that can happen at a job. You would think a courtesy call to say they would be later would happen and I would have understood. Rather, I had to call them and then was told it would be possibly another hour. They must think that a person has nothing better to do than sit around most of the day. Not considerate of the customer's time. I cancelled the appointment. read more

My Home Warranty Company had transferred my freezer repair service to this company, after the first company could not solve a problem with my 2 year old KitchenAid Refrigerator. Right from the start Debra was prompt and efficient with contact, scheduling and follow up. She took the time to listen to my unfortunate experience with the previous appliance repair company. She scheduled an appointment right away and accommodated my work schedule which was very much appreciated. Bob was timely, pleasant, knowledgeable and friendly. He fixed the frost issue with my freezer in minimal time (the previous company made 3 service calls and still could not fix and in fact made it worse). The first tech that diagnosed the problem was great, the second one I nearly kicked out of my house from the beginning-he was cranky too. Miles was amazing. Our home warranty company notified us that 4 A/C would be contacting us (which they did within 24 hours) of me making the claim. Miles came on a Friday afternoon and after inspection, said he could fix it as the motor was broken. After 2 hours of being on the roof, Miles concluded that the fan was stuck to the motor, and we would have to order a new part. This meant about 4 days of being without the working AC. My wife and kids thanked him for all his hard work and he drove off. He called 30 minutes later and said he located the part. He said the next day was Saturday and his day off but he was willing to go pick up the part, and then install it. Miles- your kindness and hard work was appreciated. We were assigned by Fidality Home Warranty. Let me start with receptionist. The only Lady working there that I am sure related to the owner. Otherwise she would be out by now because of her rudeness, unprofessional and horrible customer service. The tech didn't show up snd after 10 times I called her and always messages the next day she returned my called claiming her phone was broken. Truly a liar . She thinks we are dumb. Asking her why the tech not showed up and why you are not calling us. She said she would contact the tech snd let me know. Never called me. She called fedality and never told them about their tech didn't show up snd twisted the story to them. Lie after lie and when they rescheduled us for 5 days later, I got upset that why that late since we need fridge, she yelled at me snd hang up on me and redispatched us. I read reviews of this business and was apprehensive but my home warranty sent them so I decided to give them a chance. The door on my dryer had broken so he couldn't fix it. He told me he had to order a part and it would take a few days,maybe 4or 5. Then he told me the office would call to confirm an appointment once the part arrived. Well the very next day I received a call, made an appointment and the repair was easily done. The only reason I'm not giving this company 5 stars is because the dryer door really was an easy fix once the part was received. Came out and on time. Guess I should say, arrived at the early part of the four-hour window they scheduled. Seemed to have repaired my AC unit. Two days later, heard a loud bang. AC unit not working again. Had to take a half day off to get them rescheduled. This one arrived after the four-hour service window, which I could understand given the work load they probably had. They didn't have the right tools and equipment to even start looking at the unit and wanted to rescheduled. Waited another 45 minutes for them to actually start working. This repairman told me the motor and other parts hadn't been properly secured. The vibration for the system running loosened everything (that would explain the bang). No chance of getting my service fee refunded or discounted because of the first person's oversight. So..."Methinks not." read more

Absolutely horrible customer service. Spoke with a lady by the name of Deborah, about an issue i had with a thermostat that was replaced by them. She was VERY rude, and immediately started telling me that it was not their fault why my heater stopped working. She didn't even let me describe what was happening, before she started yelling and cursing over the phone. This lady has anger issues. I have never dealt with someone so unprofessional, let alone somebody who cursed at the clients. I will be notifying my home warranty company about this, and will NEVER be using this company again. I will also be getting in touch with the owner of this company. When i asked her to let me speak with him, she refused to give me his contact information. She then cursed at me and hung up. STAY AWAY!!! They do not stand behind their work!!! ****UPDATE***** Spoke with the owner "Bob", and he is just as rude as the lady who answers the phones. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. I paid another company to come look at it, and they determined "4 A/C" hooked up my thermostat incorrectly. They forgot to instal a jumper, and also had the thermostat set to "gas" instead of "electric". What kind of company is this? You would think they would know how to instal a thermostat? If they cant get that right, how can you trust them to instal a full on A/C unit? I will NEVER be using this company again, and i urge you to please STAY FAR AWAY from 4 A/C. I am surprised at the review below, because I had a home warranty company for the past 6 years and they've recommeded this company...and they've done a great job on my historic home. We have a 30 plus year old A/C unit and Bob has serviced it a few times and been honest and up front about what it needed...plus it always got fixed. I did not renew my contract with the home warranty company (we had a child and it slipped my mind) so I called them when our A/C crapped out again today. Dustin squeezed us into his schedule and serviced us and got our A/C back on again in a matter of minutes. These guys are great, take it from someone who has used them to patch along a system that is 30 years old...for 6 plus years. Don't ever use this place. Avoid at all costs. Bob was at my home, told warranty company that Sears Warranty does not allow refrigerators in the garage. That is a pure lie. I have the Kenmore warranty. Kenmore repaired the fridge during the first year in the garage. Fidelity Warranty denied claim based on Bob's lie and he took 2 weeks to get the lie in. To start they sent someone out under our "warrantee". This is after I had someone else look and state that it has a leak and it's the compressor. This guy showed up with a cigar in his mouth the entire time even walking into my home. I couldn't be there so my neighbor didn't say anything, but I would have!! He put 1.5 lbs of Freon in and left. The next day it was frozen again & not working. They asked me to wait 24 hours would take time to "kick in". I waited and it was still frozen. Called again to "rude" lady. I told her it's Friday this has been going on since Tue and I'm not waiting until Monday. She stated I cussed out the guy here when I wasn't even here! what a joke. She called me a liar that I was not in town until Monday. (What is it her business if I wasn't? But I was here just at the hospital with family) She continued to argue with me & I needed to Call the warrantee company cuz she won't get me in until Monday. Trying to make me suffer...whatever I'm smarter than her! Well, I told her don't bother I will get anyone else to work on it. I had someone else here in a few hours! They were fantastic. They fixed the real problems and were so kind. Not it's Monday this company comes to my house to fix. I said Thanks but NO thanks! All calls go straight to VM by this home ran business. Appointment was made for between 3-7. Arrival time was 9:23pm with no 24hr notice ahead of time nor a call to inform tech/biz owner would be arriving that late in the evening. The guy just left land it's almost 10pm. Said he replaced a cap but that was only what was covered under warranty. He said the coils need cleaning and for him to come back would be $300. He said he didn't care about rendering services to complete the project. He said he's got enough home warranty clientele that keeps him so busy he doesn't care about customer satisfaction. Called Home Warrenty company and 4 A/C responded late afternoon same day. Had appointment within 24 hours and they responded within the window given. I figured they would tell me I needed a new system or huge part that would have to wait a week, etc...but, nope. They were honest about it just needing a new thermostat...and bingo...no more cold mornings! Will easily call the company to help me out with our non-warranty property.
