Going into week 3 of non working A/C unit. This company was dispatched to me by my home Warranty Company so I am stuck working with them. 4 visits including yesterday and my system is still not working. They get one star only because half a star isn't an option. AC stopped cooling at one of my rentals in September. The warranty company sent out 4AC-C-B and D. They refilled the refrigerant which was low. One month later the unit quit so the warranty company sent out the same company to redo the work. Low refrigerant again. Less than 30 days later I had my own HVAC company check the heating and cooling systems at all of my rental houses. They found that this unit was low on refrigerant again so I called the warranty company to have it properly fixed. They never came to the house to check it out. It's now the end of November and the unit has quit working completely. Called 4AC directly. When I gave them the service call address the response was "I can't talk to you now. I'll call back later." Well later never happened. As soon as I'm done with this I'm notifying the warranty company that 4AC will not be allowed to provide service at any of my properties. read more

I called my home warranty company to make a claim (no heat). I received a call from 4 AC the very same day. They got us scheduled very quickly and the tech was swift to diagnose the issue, order the needed part and come back for a second visit to complete the work. Everyone that I worked with (Debra by phone and tech, Dustin) was courteous, knowledgeable, timely and professional. Had issues with Fidelity National Home Warranty refusing to send out covered parts and lying about where the issue was. This is no reflection on 4 AC. Bob was on time, courteous and professional. I put in the ticket Sunday July 3rd and they were out on the 5th. He correctly diagnosed the issue on the first visit. We needed a new compressor. As soon as he received it, he was out the next day and installed it. I'm very happy with the service. There were uncovered charges the warranty company wouldn't cover and Bob explained what he was doing the entire time. 4 AC is welcome back to work on my systems at any time. read more

Called this company to inquire about the part that they ordered to fix our stove. They are contracted through Fidelity Home Warranty. Although they are an AC company apparently, they fix other appliances. The maintenance guy stood in my kitchen and told me that he'd get the part ordered and it should be done (installed/fixed) within 2 weeks. 6/23/2021 was 2 weeks so I called their contact number and spoke with Debra she told me that she has no ETA on the part because 'there's a pandemic going on and people don't work' I ignored her rude comments and simply asked her what other options I had to resolve this? "She said "call Fidelity and hash it out with them. They will need a report from us which we didn't send in yet." Then she also said that other people have been waiting 9 months for parts so "good luck". This company won't care about this review - they have demonstrated that by their response to me (multiple times I called). However, I wanted to leave this on here for others. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They won't do what's right for the customer - they will do what's right for them and their pocketbooks. read more

Fidelity Home warranty assigned this contractor when I had a problem with an AC unit. The company was slow to respond to the work order - I ended up calling them directly and received an appointment a few days later. The office manager, Deborah, was very terse. The technician, Dustin, was friendly and appeared knowledgeable. He diagnosed the problem as a failed condensing fan motor and said that he needed to order a part. Several days went by and it was difficult to get and update from the company, with neither the technician or Deborah in the office returning calls. Finally I turned to Fidelity and asked them to push the contractor for action, which resulted in a second appointment. During the second appointment, Dustin replaced the part but was unable to fire up the unit because there was no power to it. He promised to call Fidelity and transfer the work order to an electrician for further evaluation; this was on a Friday afternoon. By Monday afternoon I had not heard anything and after unanswered calls, I again contacted Fidelity and they explained that 4 A/C had not requested the transfer to an electrician. They called 4 A/C on my behalf and Deborah told them she hadn't seen the report yet, that Dustin was in the field, and that she would need to wait until she got his report before any further action would be taken. No sense of urgency on her part, which in my opinion is consistent with her pattern of very weak customer service. Once the ticket was transferred to an electrician, they promptly called me and came out same day. The electrical problem ended up being simple - a breaker that had been shut off for the cooktop was mislabeled at the panel and actually was for the AC unit. Dustin probably should have been able to figure this out himself. Dustin has specifically said that once electrical was fixed, he would need to come back one more time to test the unit and make sure that the newly installed fan motor had been wired in the right direction. He specifically said don't run the unit until he returned to check it. When I talked to Deborah, explained that electrical problem was fixed and requested Dustin to return, she was very rude and said that she didn't know anything about it and she would need to talk to Dustin. A couple hours later she phoned and said that Dustin didn't need to return, just to run the unit. I have made two requests of Deborah to speak to the owner, Bob, to share my weak customer experience with him but he has not called me. In summary, Fidelity was fairly responsive, but the contractor was very marginal and has a lot to do to improve customer service and communication. It is especially troubling that the owner isn't interested in feedback from clients. I will encourage Fidelity to drop this contractor from their list of vendors. read more

I have to say I am not surprised by the other negative reviews. The lady that answers the phone is awful, and has 0 interest in providing any customer service. I was referred by my home warranty company and let them know that I will not be spending my hard earned dollars with this company. There are a lot of options out there for almost anything now-a-days, imo company's that don't put the customer first simply won't last. read more

Bob was the most rude, inefficient, incompetent service person I have ever met. We scheduled an appointment to service our sub-zero freezer that ice build-up in the back of the unit. Bob was scheduled to arrive 4-7pm and calls at 7:30 to tell me he is in a drive-thru at McDonald's and he would 'Get to my home when he gets there!' He had an obvious chip on his shoulder, and was literally throwing my freezer parts around as he disassembled it to discover the problem. Needless to say, I was very uncomfortable with him in my home. He stated it needed a new compressor that he would have to order. Although I did not want him back, I felt maybe he had a horrible day, and this was a one time occurrence for him After numerous calls and literally MONTHS of waiting....He completely forgot and disregarded the repairs. PLEASE, SAVE YOURSELF THE TIME, MONEY AND STRESS! THERE ARE TOO MANY OTHER COMPETENT COMPANIES OUT THERE! read more

I am surprised at the negative reviews this company has. The bad reviews look like they have 1 thing in common which is a home warranty. Having said that, Debra was fantastic, she answer all my questions about the service time, date and fee. Who would be coming and when. Never was she rude. The tech was on time, wore booties on my clean carpet, repaired my nest thermostat by fixing the wiring to it, I didn't understand it, but he explained it and fixed it, lol. Then checked my entire unit for problems. Found a bad part, in the outdoor unit, replaced it, cleaned the outdoor coil and my unit is working better than it did when I moved in. I would highly recommend 4 A/C for any repairs on my a.c., and I found out he does appliances too! He and Debra have my business for life. Honest, dependable and fair. read more

Over the last 3 years I have had the greatest experiences with 4 A/C. Bob and Debra have never been less than kind professional and honest. But I frankly, I didn't hire them for their personalities. I hired them for an aging failing AC unit. Each visit resulted in a well checked and repaired unit. The cost of repairs have always been fair. Never was I told I needed something done that wasn't necessary. Infact, I was positive I needed a new unit this year. The unit came on when it wanted went off when it wanted with no regard to thermostat readings. Not to mention there were times the unit never came on at all. I called 4 A/C for an estimate on a new unit. Of course, I got 3 other estimates. Not only was the unit just fine, and all I needed was 2 AA batteries for the thermostat we also discussed the cost of a new unit should I need one in the future. You got it, his quote was $1,300 cheaper. Bob is not just efficient. He is an honest respectable person. read more

They were the contractor that our home warranty company hooked us up with and I thought they did very good job. I was told they would show up between 3 and 6 but Bob was delayed and didn't make it until 7:30. He did call to let me know he was running late. He called at 6:30 but at least he called. Ended up being a minor issue fortunately. I would definitely use them again. read more
