I came here with my boyfriend while on a short beach trip, and I normally don't leave reviews but this place went above and beyond my expectations in every way. The restaurant was pretty busy but we were seated within two minutes! Our server was absolutely amazing, I wish I got his name but I'm sure anyone who comes here will automatically know who I'm talking about. He is so full of life and was extremely attentive to us and all of his other tables. I was very impressed with the service he provided us. Our food was absolutely amazing and their hot sauce is so good I had to buy a bottle! If you ever happen to stop in Atlantic beach, definitely come here!! Stopped here early in the morning for breakfast on our way to a tour in Beaufort. We were pleasantly surprised with a very clean, bright, and spacious interior. We were seated quickly and our waitress was kind and welcoming. It may not have been the single most amazing breakfast food I've ever had, but it was tasty and filling. The coffee was delicious and plentiful. For a diner, I would expect nothing less. Definitely a good stop for a nice, easy breakfast. One other note- the restroom facilities are VERY nice and clean. read more

The food was okay, nothing to write home about. This should no longer be considered a diner due to the fact they now serve alcohol and the building has consumed the original structure. Wait staff was very nice but very rushed and took forever to get our food and I just felt so rushed to place an order. We waited 30 minutes for French toast and biscuits and gravy. In our opinion it is overpriced. The bill was $30 for biscuits and gravy and French toast. Probably will not be returning here ever. If we do come back will probably be for hush puppies and a shake. read more

When I came in to pick up together no social distancing was enforced it was way over crowded I didn't even have room to breathe on top of that the employees were very rude when I went back to get syrup for my breakfast they were like you should have asked for it the first time and refused to give it to me. Love this place! Great atmosphere! Amazing staff, attentive, friendly and welcoming! Everything was clean. We don't usually go to a restaurant 30 minutes to closing. Bc we feel it's rude.. we walked in not knowing they were 10 minutes to closing. And apologized and we were gonna leave. They said absolutely not. Come in and eat! We are down in Emerald Isle for a long weekend and went for a drive up to Moorhead City around lunchtime. Decided to stop in for lunch. I had the shrimp basket, which was a current special, my wife had a fried flounder another special today. Both were excellent! The hush puppies were great as was their coleslaw. It reminded us of the Cole slaw Chick Fil A used to have. Also, I am a recent lower leg amputee and would also rate this establishment 5 on handicap accessibility for wheelchairs. Space is open and owners are very accommodating without being asked. Hostess moved a piece of furniture to allow straight on access to our table. Another gentleman (owner possibly) held open the bathroom door for me. The bathroom was spacious enough and set up well for a wheelchair. Our waiter "David" was awesome. The 4 corners diner us by far the best diner I have ever been to. When we got there we were seated emmedietly. We got our drinks and shortly after we got our food. I had the pancakes and country fried ham. The food tasted great. We also had great waiters who were happy to serve us. When it was time to pay we got the bill faster than ever. I stopped in for breakfast on my way to a meeting at Ft. Macon. The dining area was clean and the waitress was all smiles and extremely nice. Very prompt to take my order and bring me everything right now. I ordered a vegetable omlet with grits and wheat toast. Everything came out perfect. The grits were just right, not too wet and not too dry. The orange juice was very fresh, the coffee was hot and strong but had a card board taste to it. If you frequent AB a lot you know that this is the spot to come for breakfast on the beach! However, beware that there will ALWAYS be a line! Good news is, if your party is relatively small, you will not be waiting very long for a table to open up. Do not expect anything extravagant here, this is your down home country breakfast. As party of 8 we went and put in our name and they said it would be between 20-25 minuets. So we waited and after 45 minutes one of us went to see if it would be much longer and they had accidentally crossed off our name. They said it would not be much longer so we waited about 30 more minutes and they still were not making any effort to seat us. We watched as groups our size and larger that had arrived later than us get seated before us. When asked what was taking so long the hostess said that a large party table was taken as if they could not push two tables together. Get the shrimp and grits. It's legit. Not a huge fan of the omlettes, toast, or home fries. They're serviceable. But the shrimp and grits is the one thing that has made me go wow. Nice and cheesy. Service was great...ask about the history of the diner. Very friendly and proud of their story. Original tile, fixtures in the front of the diner but has been added on to. Food wasn't the greatest but it was what was expected. My blueberry waffle was large and the topping was like the pie filling from a can (he said). Great local spot for breakfast!! Service was on point & there were a lot of great specials to choose from. Come early cause it was packed when we got there @ 8:30/9 am. No matter if you're feeling in the mood for sweet or savory, they can definitely satisfy your taste buds! I was delighted to see they offer a "coffee pot" option as a beverage. Which they bring a good sized carafe of fresh coffee to your table. The kids both ordered a cherry waffle w/whipped cream. We had to taste it & boy it was good!! Spotty service, bad coffee (really really bad), runny undercooked omelet, cold soggy home fries. We had breakfast here on a Monday morning on the advice of friends. They have also had bad experiences lately but said it used to be good. Sad. It takes a lot of effort to mess up breakfast. However, the biscuits and waffle were good. Place was recommended by our motel front desk staff. We stopped in for breakfast on a Tuesday morning, about 10 AM. Steak & Eggs entree's ribeye came medium-well instead of medium, eggs were almost raw and not well mixed, instead of request of scrambled 'still a little moist'. Western omelette was made with 2 eggs and not much else, fillings on the skimpy side. Both plates had home fries were OK but underseasoned and a little greasy, obviously not made from scratch. All condiments, including ketchup and hot sauce were already on the table which made sprucing up the potatoes pretty easy. Service was fine, neither excellent nor apathetic. Basic diner food but overpriced IMO. Check total was about $18 including tax and tip. Next time I'll go for drive-thru breakfast or get some fruit at the supermarket.
