The Banh mi is tasty, the bread is crunchy on the outside, fluffy on the inside. Fried egg and happy face jalepeno was a nice touch too lol. Pho was rich in flavor and not heavy at all. Steak in it was great and the serving size was great for the price. If you're in town you should stop by and support! We have gotten food here several times and will continue to patronize this place. It is owned by a nice Vietnamese woman who takes a lot of pride in her cooking. Every time I come in, she talks about how fresh her food is and how everything is made to order. She does everything on her own, so the food takes time to cook. Do not come when you're in a rush! We like to get the stir fry noodles and banh mi. We've had the pho and it's OK, but I like my mom's better. It is best to carry out since the seating and serving set up isn't ideal, but you can eat there. We have eaten there because we like hot food, but it wasn't a super comfortable experience. Got takeout so can't comment on restaurant itself! I got the grilled pork banh mi, and my Viet-Chinese friend said it's the best banh mi he's ever had in America! The banh mi comes with a superrr generous portion of grilled pork, some pate, pickled veggies, cilantro, and a fried egg, which is not super common! I didn't love the pate (just not a fan of liver), but the pork was yum! Also tried the Vietnamese spring rolls, which comes in a box of three with a less concentrated peanut dipping sauce. Best Vietnamese food in the area, located near 47th and Ashland. The owner works solo making great Pho and dishes from her heart. The food is very affordable and always happy to talk to her customers. Her menu is small, I order the beef pho which comes hot and super tasty. Delicious broth and she packages it well to go. You'll need to heat the broth when you get home to cook the raw steak. Chicken vermicelli was delicious and the egg rolls were crispy. Portion was generous for the price. Spring rolls were overstuffed and had large shrimp cooked just soft. The sauce has spicy peppers just fyi. They did not include any pate and the pickled veggies were minimal. The pan fried noodles with chicken, shrimp, and beef were alright. My husband ordered Asian honey wings and received 2 whole wings for $8. The order said 6 pieces so I guess the wing tips counted as 2 pieces. Wow! The good items were the spring rolls and egg rolls.
