The owners were not in today so I asked the receptionist what was the reason for it being held up for so long? She said the exact same story they've been telling me all along. "OoOoOh we are losing workers and the new guys don't know what's going on with the current projects".. regardless, how is that my fault? Plus, one of the actual owners claims to be the one working on the car himself so..? I don't understand the issue. had I not stopped in today; who knows when would have been the next time they notified me. Thats also another thing. When paying for admission, it is important to ask the cashier to pull up the inventory and tell you whether they have the make and model you are looking for. We received the row location for our vehicle. The lot is well laid out and marked so that you can find your pick quickly and get to work removing what you need. We received great customer service throughout the process. You should bring the tools necessary to remove the part you want from the car. They provide a wheel barrel for you to place place parts in and bring them to checkout. I was impressed with the improved check in, the cars they had for sale, the cleanliness of the pick lot and the amount of space allowed between each vehicle to help you get to the part you want without squeezing by.

I would not recommend Big Al's based on my experience. I brought my car in for a tune-up, but after…read morethe service my vehicle continued to have serious performance issues. Instead of the problem being fixed, I ended up spending hundreds of dollars taking my car to multiple mechanics and paying for additional diagnostic services to figure out what was wrong. After getting several professional opinions, the problem was finally identified: Big Al's installed the wrong spark plugs during the tune-up. The incorrect spark plugs caused ongoing issues that led me to believe there was something much more serious wrong with my vehicle. Because of this mistake, I wasted a significant amount of time, money, and stress chasing a problem that should never have happened in the first place. What should have been a routine tune-up turned into an expensive ordeal. I had to pay for multiple inspections, diagnostic tests, and other unnecessary services before the real cause was discovered. I trusted Big Al's to perform the work correctly, and that trust was broken. I am extremely disappointed with the quality of workmanship and the financial burden this mistake caused. I expect Big Al's to take responsibility by refunding the cost of the faulty tune-up and reimbursing me for the additional expenses I incurred because of their error. I hope they improve their quality control so other customers do not have to go through what I experienced.

The technician working on my car informed me and showed me first-hand that both of my front rims were bent badly (most likely due to the crappy roads in VA) and referred me to another shop for repair. Greatly appreciated the information and brought to light why my steering wheel would shake badly when going above 40mph. Ended up shifting the newly replaced tires from the front to the back as the tech advised to reduce the "shaking" until i could repair the rim damage. Any other shop would have just replaced the tires as requested and not inform me of the rim damage. Highly recommend their service.
