They were steering me ( no pun intended ) to the new S&B / One Up Off-Road kit that just hit the market. They said it corrects all the caster alignment issues & loose steering feel that a lot of other companies fail to address. Their knowledge is absolutely unbelievable. Even though I'm in Texas, we talked about me buying the truck in Virgina, having them outfit it, & then I'll fly out & pick it up !! Extremely Disappointed - Poor Communication and Zero Accountability…read moreI initially went to Easter Off Road to have a leveling kit and new tires installed. I returned a little while later to have a noise diagnosed, which involved removing my skid plate. I travel for work approximately 90% of the time, which the shop was fully aware of. When I called to schedule a time to have my skid plate put back on, I was informed that they had thrown it away without ever contacting me. The owner refused to reimburse me or replace the skid plate. He claimed they have a three-day policy for holding parts, yet also admitted that my skid plate sat there for a month before they threw it away. During that entire month, no one attempted to call, text, or email me to ask what I wanted done with my property. I also have an existing text thread with their service staff regarding my vehicle, and not a single message was sent letting me know that my skid plate was still there, that there was supposedly a deadline to pick it up, or that they intended to throw it away. If there is truly a three-day policy, that was never communicated to me before they disposed of my property. What makes this even more frustrating is that when I originally had my leveling kit installed, they specifically called and asked whether I wanted to keep the old parts. I said no, and they disposed of them. Clearly, they had both my contact information and an established way to communicate with me before disposing of parts, yet that same courtesy wasn't extended to a skid plate that was supposed to go back on my vehicle. My issue isn't simply that they threw away my property. It's the complete lack of communication and accountability afterward. They knew I travel extensively for work, had multiple ways to contact me, made no attempt to do so, and then refused to replace or reimburse me for something they chose to discard. A single phone call, text, or email could have prevented this entire situation. Instead, I'm now responsible for replacing a perfectly good skid plate because they threw it away without my permission. I expected much better communication and customer service from a shop entrusted with my vehicle. Unfortunately, based on how this was handled, I would not recommend Easter Off Road.

Instead of the problem being fixed, I ended up spending hundreds of dollars taking my car to multiple mechanics and paying for additional diagnostic services to figure out what was wrong. After getting several professional opinions, the problem was finally identified: Big Al's installed the wrong spark plugs during the tune-up. The incorrect spark plugs caused ongoing issues that led me to believe there was something much more serious wrong with my vehicle. Because of this mistake, I wasted a significant amount of time, money, and stress chasing a problem that should never have happened in the first place. What should have been a routine tune-up turned into an expensive ordeal. I had to pay for multiple inspections, diagnostic tests, and other unnecessary services before the real cause was discovered. I trusted Big Al's to perform the work correctly, and that trust was broken. I am extremely disappointed with the quality of workmanship and the financial burden this mistake caused. I expect Big Al's to take responsibility by refunding the cost of the faulty tune-up and reimbursing me for the additional expenses I incurred because of their error. I hope they improve their quality control so other customers do not have to go through what I experienced.

Portsmouth was the only shop in the region that could get it done not just in 10 days, but the next day. They had the parts on site. They installed the hitch and a 7-way electric plug with no problems whatsoever. All the other dealers needed 2-3 weeks to get the parts! This shop is FABULOUS, they have a large inventory of Truck and RV parts and accessories. Their waiting room is generous in size and has a TV and WIFI. The staff is invested in your success and care about you. Working with them was a wonderful experience. They even give you a cash discount, if you want to save 3%. I'm keeping them in my rolodex. BTW, when we arrived the store was in a little disarray. They had adopted a cat with a broken back and the cat had some how gotten loose and was hiding in a wall - and they had been taking pieces of the store apart to save the cat.
