This location has been awesome. They're so friendly as soon as you walk in the door. They're personable and it doesn't feel like you're just a customer. I had a piece of metal in my tire that I couldn't patch and they were able to replace it for free since I had bought a whole new set last year and had the insurance for them. They expressed their concerns with me using a 13 year old donut tire (oops) and it gave me the opportunity to make an informed decision to buy a new full size spare without it feeling pushy. They also worked with my budget which I am so grateful for. The wait wasn't too long but in that timeframe I watched them treat everyone who walked in that door like someone they already knew. Bought several tires from here before until recent purchase of tires for audi q5. Experience was great till recently. Was sold their inhouse brand of Phantom tires. Replaced OEM Kumho. When installed the staff forgot to reset the TPMS. After driving for 3 miles on way home TPMS sensors went off. Ride was choppy and unsteady only to find out when I got home that the tire pressure were grossly underinflated -5/6 lbs. The staff apparently also did not read the tire pressure difference set by manufacturers. After 2 weeks on Phantom tires and driving them on a short trip out of town with my wife driving them to work, we are swapping them out. The Phantom tires decreased gas mileage by 20-30%. Also they do not handle as well as the OEM tires that were worn out. They tried to dissuade me from swapping them out. Be ready to go through some haggling if you plan on returning tires, even though their advertisement says it. Lesson learned-don't try Phanthom for tires unless you want to sacrifice short term price for long term mileage. Research research your tires. read more

I checked online for the closest tire shop with decent ratings, called to see if they had a tire to fit my car in stock, and went immediately there. Upon arriving, I was quickly helped by Shane. He promptly and courteously inspected my tires, noticing as he did that my car had tires sold exclusively by Discount Tire. He then checked to see if the previous owner of my vehicle had purchased the protection plan. When he found that they had indeed purchased the protection plan, he informed me that the new tire and the replacement would be free. What a blessing! I chose to re-up the protection plan for a very reasonable $15. I am very satisfied with the service I have received from Discount Tire on Holland and would highly recommend them to anyone. I confirmed this over the phone & set up an appointment. Arrive 15 minutes prior to your appointment. I did wait for 10-15 minutes, but they had two customers ahead of me. I was acknowledged & informed they would be with me in a moment. Which is a huge plus ( for me) when it comes to customer service. It conveys to the customer that their presence is noted & that help is on the way. This verbal communication is vital. They also did recognize the extent of my wait & thanked me for my patience. He confirmed my phone number, & informed me I would be notified when my vehicle was ready. A link indicating the progress of my vehicle was conveniently sent through text so I had the opportunity to do other things if needed. They estimated it would take an hour or less. My car was ready in 35 minutes. The employee also discussed with me where my tire tread currently was on the diagram & inquired about the frequency of my mileage to better gauge an estimate of how much life I had left on my other two tires, so that I could plan accordingly for future tire purchase & for safety. I placed an online order for 4 tires and wheels and the day after they called to confirm my order and service date (after they have already sent me the order confirmation details). The customer service at this location is impeccable and the associates are extremely friendly and very knowledgeable of all of their products and services. Took my car in on a Wednesday for a new set of tires and alignment. While they were working on the tires, I was told there was a weld on one of the rims. I was fully aware. I had it repaired at a rim shop over a year ago with no issues. After an extremely long wait I go to look at the parking lot and notice my car parked all the way in the back corner (weird). Then the tech comes to tell me for some odd reason my car was removed from the bay and two other cars were put in front of me for an alignment (also weird). When I leave the tires have an absurd amount of air. I leave for a weekend trip the next morning (Thursday) Three tires still have an absurd amount of air and one doesn't. I get to Richmond and adjust the air in all tires to the correct pressure then travel to Northern Virginia. One tire loses a bit of air but I didn't think it was major so I park the car in a garage for the weekend. Saturday night I go to the car and the tire is flat. I end up needing roadside assistance twice and had to keep stopping to add air in the way back home Sunday. Roadside assistance puts the spare on and there is a second crack in the rim. I tell this story to an employee at another rim shop and the look on his face said it all. He didn't want to say they did it but he said sometimes when there is a weak spot on the rim it's easy for the machine to cause another crack. I totally believe they knew there was a new crack and put my car in the back to see if it would hold pressure until I left. I gave two stars only because the manager, Brad, did offer to look at my car personally if I brought it back. I declined for obvious reasons. read more

8/2021 Wow is all I can say. They took care of my iissue in no time and were very professional, efficient, and courteous. I was feeling my Jeep shake about a month ago and I thought it needed some work done. My usual auto shop couldn't get me in right away and I needed my vehicle same day to drive up to Baltimore. My folks did a quick Q&A with me to help identify the problem and rule out anything. After a few minutes on the phone with them, they actually advised me to come here for a tire balance and possible rotation. Since it was before 8 am, I arrived 20 mins early and waited until they opened their doors. There were quite a few people already but they knew how to keep the line moving. Some were in for appointments while some showed up for walk-ins, like myself. After a thorough walk around and diagnoses, they gave me a 1.5 to 2 hour window. Sweet. They sent status updates to my phone and called when they were within 15 mins done with my jeep. Sixth dollars later and it was swift and painless. Both of my 2018 Sonata rear tires were leaking. I had AAA change the passenger rear with the emergency tire and put air in the other rear tire so I could get my car somewhere to have the tires repaired or replaced. The AAA driver discovered both tires had a nail in them. I called two tire places who quoted me $46 and $45 to fix ONE tire. When I called Discount Tire, they said if they were reparable they would do both for free. I was shocked but happy and maybe a little wary. I arrived without an appointment, they were very friendly and took my car into the shop quickly, and within 45 minutes they had repaired both and had me on my way. No charge and no paperwork. They could just as easily have said they were not repairable and tried to sell me new ones. I would not have known. I usually buy my new tires at Costco but based upon this experience, the reviews on Yelp of this facility, and my conversation with the person who checked me in about Discount Tire's cost, warranty, and extras for new tires, there's a very good chance I may reconsider this decision when I replace the tires in about a year. All I have to say is this is a great service shop. It's THE only shop that I've been to where an associate makes an effort to greet customers at the door. I received excellent customer service from start to finish. Daniel provided great customer service over the phone. Justin was very helpful while I was at the shop. The techs stayed almost an hour after closing to make sure the job was done right. I came in for a routine service. During the work, they found an underlying issue. I like that Justin took me to the bay to show me the problem, without me even asking. After I already spent hundreds of dollars (well spent), it was in my best interest to get the other service completed. Prior to arriving, I had called and the man who answered the phone was quick to answer my questions on if they have the tires I was looking for and when I would be able to get in. They had brand new tires that I wanted and said if I walked in, I would be able to get in and out within an hour to an hour and a half. I acted quick. Today my Jeep tire went flat and we were more than prepared to buy brand new tires. My husband gets there (with both kids) to get a new one and the staff was more than accommodating.
