The BEST bbq baked potato and it's HUGEEE! The food was incredible, also recommend the brisket grilled cheese. The man running it was so sweet and personable, he even gave us free complementary dessert!! Ambience is very homey and everyone here was so fun.

This is a hidden gem!! Called ahead to order the sliced brisket and turkey sandwich with pickles and onions. The brisket and turkey were both very moist and flavorful. Lots of meat on the sandwich and was good for 2 meals. Baby back ribs were very Smokey and flavorful. Great as a snack with the sandwich !! The BBQ sauce is also very good! I love stopping here for great to go BBQ!!

Will start off by saying you're most likely not going to beat the price for BBQ around this area unless you go to a fast food spot. As always I got the brisket and ribs, and decided to try the potato salad. They made it pretty easy with a simple menu! The ribs were different than what I'm use to. Definitely follow off the phone and great flavor. There wasn't a typical bark that you would see on the ribs, and almost reminded me of the thin layer texture I'd see on a fried pork dish. The brisket didn't have a large bark either, but maintained a good texture and required just a little bit of BBQ sauce. Definitely would recommend coming here if you have a BBQ craving, want some good cut of meats, and at affordable prices.

The best chopped beef brisket BBQ in Texas, and absolutely loaded with flavorful moist meat. It was so good I had to bring one home for my wife. For a flat $10 you get a huge sandwich, choice of chips, and two Oreo cookies. My daughter had the sliced turkey which was tender and moist also, she loved it! We have been calling and stopping by and finally found out that they are only open Friday's and Saturday's from 11:00 am to 6 pm. We will be brining all our out of state visitors here for real authentic Texas chopped brisket.

We were craving some BBQ in the middle of a day of shopping, and 401k popped up in our Google search. We love to try little one-off places since they usually have the best food, and headed down Plano Pkwy to 401k. The turn is easy to miss! We actually had to back up a little to make the turn because we almost went right past. The shack is in the lot of a garden center type business. Parking is open, which was a little confusing but at least there is somewhere to park, right? It was pretty chilly that day, so there was no one else there when we arrived, although 2 other orders were placed while we were there. The menu is very simple, and very reasonably priced. We got brisket (lean), turkey, spicy sausage, and beans, potato salad, and cole slaw. Everything except the turkey was exceptionally good! The brisket was something special, and it was so tender it turned to chopped brisket if you touched it with a fork! The sausage was some of the best we've had as well. Skip the turkey, it had a rubbery texture and very little flavor. It was better after sitting in a pool of bbq sauce in the fridge for a few days, lol. Don't come here in a hurry, cause even though they were not busy it took a good 15 minutes or so before our plates were ready. That wouldn't seem like very long, but it's bbq, so it's already cooked...plus it wasy pretty cold and there is only outside seating. Anyway, I think we've found our new spot whenever we are up by NFM! They have very limited hours, so be aware they are only open on weekends.

My favorite BBQ in town. Gordy is a great guy as well. He even gave me free salsa. I highly recommend this sit-down spot.

But, we'll give it a shot. From first appearance, it looks like a typical fast food joint. Order and pay at the counter. Then, sit and wait for your food. But, they do cook your food to order. I guess that's necessary, with a menu with so many choices. I could have pondered that menu for a long time, but they made it easy for me by having their "two good for $7" special. Four items offered and you pick any two of them. Quite a deal, and the choices seem to change every month. Seems like a good way to get people to try different menu items. I ordered the Wild West Burger and Loaded Fries. The place wasn't busy, so our food was ready pretty quickly. My burger had cheese, bacon, bbq / chipotle sauce and a couple of onion rings. The burger patty was overcooked but the sandwich was pretty good. The loaded fries came with chopped scallions, bacon bits and a special sauce. It was a very good choice. I'll come back to sample other items on the menu.

They offer a great lunch special, so definitely check it out. My husband ordered a burger and it was actually better than my roast beef, so if I go again, I will get that. Please, for the love of all things delicious, get yourself some cheese curds. They were fantastic. Other reviews are correct that the service is geared more toward the drive-thru. There is only one person working the register and maybe one or two people in the back. Even so, the service was sincere and they clearly wanted us to be happy, which I was. The milkshakes looked great and I may try one next time. The portions were much larger than expected and we really should have split a lunch.
