This location feels kind of dark and dingy. We were seated right away. The server was kind of abrupt. We asked for the drinks menu and he said they don't have one. Also, could not explain verbally what drinks they have, so we just got beers. The chips and salsa was good, queso was very basic, cheese without much flavor. We ordered cheese enchiladas with mole and Pollo Acapulco. The food was quite tasty, good value for money! However, the service was still lacking. We had to remind the server to bring the tortillas and the side of green sauce we had requested. We won't be back to this location, the one in Irving definitely has great service!

Food was amazing. Took us to FLAVOR TOWN! And at an even better price &13.50 each. Both dishes came with rice and beans. Will be back.. The margaritas were not the best. Not strong and tasted like it was already pre made. Other than that... it was amazing

11-4-2022 Grilled Vegetables add Grilled chicken and served with rice.

3-2023 Our new favorite is the grilled vegetables (adding chicken). The menu warns to allow 15 minutes but it usually does not take that long. This is a sizzling skillet full of fresh vegetables bell pepper, onions, carrots, squash, zucchini and potatoes served with rice. It is So good, it's a regular order. The Americano section has a juicy hamburger (I added jack cheese & bacon, they were out of mushrooms) really big and very good served with golden crispy fries. On average the service is good, you may encounter a slower server here or there. Maybe she was new. They no longer have the doors to close off the bar so that section can get rowdy at times. But otherwise it's, quiet and pretty laid back.

DO NOT GO HERE THERE HAVE ROCHES

DO NOT GO HERE THEY HAVE ROACHES . We came here for Mother's Day and it wasn't that busy yet and the service was absolutely horrible . Not once did I get a refill , we had to keep repeating ourselves to the server . Towards the end of the meal we something crawling on the table and it was a roach , absolutely disgusting I am pregnant so I literally wanted to throw up instantly!

DO NOT RECOMMEND . staff is friendly but they automatically charge an 18% tip, and the food isn't great, bland and they serve very little on plates for the price. about 12 chopped little pieces of lettuce, it was not fresh. and the amount of Rice and beans To the flauta plate was not equivalent to the price/Type of establishment. First and last time here. do not recommend.

Almost drove past this little wonder spot, I've drunkenly stumbled in here long ago. Had to Yelp it.. I was so hungry Simple Beans alright . Street tacos made the way I like it.. I added all extras it amazing. No specials and no buffet also Workers all ate Pizza Hut so 4 overall this time. A must frequent if in Carrollton

This is the ONLY mention of a buffet that I saw. Nothing on menu and I didn't see a buffet.

It's been years since I have been to Los Lupes Mexican restaurant in Carrollton, TX at Josey and Trinity Mills.  My wife and I and our boys used to go there frequently.  Probably at least every other week.  So my expectations were greater than the current experience.   I had noticed while driving by that they had a big banner outside advertising an "All You Can Eat Buffet ".  For a traditional restaurant to start something like this is probably not a good sign.  However, after going inside, I didn't see any indication of any kind of Buffet.  NO advertising........NOTHING on the menu.........and NO Buffet setup anywhere.  I did glance at a sign on a stantion that advertised Cheese Enchiladas for $4.99.  That sounded like a good deal and I wasn't that hungry so I decided to try that.  When I asked about the "Special ", the waitress told me in kind of a brusque manner that that is only Monday through Thursday.   I had to wonder, if this was Sunday....and the sign is on a stantion that is easily moved.....why is it still out on the weekend?  Also.....where is the advertising for the All You Can Eat?  I ordered the cheese enchiladas anyway, because I had already decided that that was what I wanted.  They brought out chips and salsa.  Seemed like restaurant supply chips and jar salsa.  When the entree arrived, it looked OK, nothing special. No garnishment of any kind like slices of jalapeño or shredded cheese.  The rice was good.  Nothing special.  It was fluffy, but not especially flavorful.  Just plain rice.  The refried beans were good.  Nothing special.  The cheese enchiladas were ok.  Nothing special, and not especially cheesy.   I did order the homemade Tres Leches cake.  This was actually very good and with a little better presentation with a dollop of whipped cream and a cherry. Looking around the restaurant,  the first thing that strikes you is that it is very dated.  Very dark and very dingy. Nothing has ever been updated, or apparently even deep cleaned.  The ceiling tiles are mismatched terribly and look shabby.  The windows are so dirty it could act like a sun screen.   The window sills look like they should be wiped down or dusted.  There wasn't any kind of background music.  The plate that my entree was served on had a large chip on the edge.  I also thought it was odd that when they served the cake, instead of a fork, they served it with an ice tea spoon.  All in all.....if you feel like having Mexican for lunch....and it happens to be Monday through Thursday.....the $4.99 cheese enchiladas might be a good deal.  Otherwise,  I don't think I would bother.

First timer here!…read more Food 5/5: first time trying Brazilian food and it did not disappoint! The portions are perfect as a first time timer. I love the appetizer dishes. You are allowed to order 3 dishes each round for the apps. They come around with the pasta and meat portions. Bad thing is that you can never say no! Ambiance: it felt so cute and cozy! There was live music and gave such a homey vibe for a high scale restaurant. Looking around, every table was there to celebrate some kind of event so make sure to make reservations! Service 5/5: we made reservations prior and we came for a birthday celebration. Our server was AMAZING. he explained everything to us and gave recs! I wish I got his name but he was fantastic! Took care of us and always checked in :) Parking: free parking around the building!

Until my most recent visit, Casa Pollastro was one of my favorite restaurants in the DFW area…read more Unfortunately, I did not love this last visit. First of all, I got an email inviting me to come visit the restaurant with a buy one get one free, but it kind of seemed like they were annoyed that we were using it. This could be just my anxiety, but I felt like we were treated a little bit less warmly by some of the staff than other tables. For example, a manager of some type was walking the floor. He stopped at the table before us and checked in on them, skipped us and went to the table after us and checked in on them, and then only on his way back to wherever he was going, he stopped reluctantly and acknowledged us. It definitely made me feel like we were not as welcome as the other tables. Second, I don't like the inclusion of the picanha for the higher price (vs. what they were doing before which was an upcharge if you wanted the steak), because the protein that I like at Casa Pollastro is the chicken. I don't really love their steak and do not want to pay $10pp more for it. Lastly, what I had loved about this restaurant in the past was that it felt like I was enjoying a meal at a family home, served with love and care. I think that they've made some changes which are smart for a restaurant, but it took away a lot of the warm and fuzzies for me. It felt like they're trying really hard to be a high-end restaurant but what I remember from this last experience was coldness and putting profit first. Now I can't be mad if they want to grow up as a restaurant and this is just part of the growing pains, but I will mourn the loss of the experience that we loved so much that we chose to have our engagement party at this restaurant. We will not be back.
