Went to 407 BBQ has expanded from their truck to a location right off the interstate (right past the Paradise Gas Station) Location is clean and staff was awesome. We had gotten a pulled pork sandwich (true name slips my mind), and the three meat combo with sausage, smoked turkey, and brisket. For sides- Chile verde creamed corn and Mac and cheese. The sandwich- oof. Probably one of the best sandwiches I've gotten from a bbq place. The bun is toasty and the cheese was melted on the bun first, which I appreciate. With typical sandwiches from a bbq place the sandwich falls apart after one bite. This sandwich maintained its shape until the last bite which saved from a huge mess. The sausage- the sausage was labeled as spicy, but I didn't taste and spices or pepper- the cheese complemented the meat well though. One thing I will say- the sausage was a little around room temp; wish it was a bit warmer. The turkey- awesome. 407 turkey has the perfect amount of spice, smoke, and juiciness. Definitely recommend this one. The brisket- pretty good, but nothing to die for. Had good flavor and bark was flavorful, but wasn't something that left me craving for more afterwords. The Mac and cheese- the seasoning made the Mac and cheese; with that being said- it needs more seasoning. Without it the Mac and cheese is plain and not very flavorful. The Chile Verde Creamed Corn- oof. The perfect side, no question. They hit it out of the park with this one. Not too spicy, but not too creamy either. Best BBQ north of Fort Worth. The staff is super friendly and helpful. We had some friends in town and got the four person bbq platter with 4 meats, 3 sides and 12 rolls for $80. Which around here $20 a plate is a good deal and we still had left overs. The inside is clean and inviting and there is plenty of seating outside. The brussel sprouts are cooked better than some steakhouses, crunchy and full of flavor. The brisket is moist and perfectly seasoned. I tried the okra and it was also a favorite at our table. In North Texas you can't throw rock without hitting about five BBQ places. Everyone has an opinion on which one is best and so here's mine... 407 BBQ is probably in the top three best in DFW. Always consistent, meat is exquisitely seasoned and smoked, and despite crazy crowds, the service is always friendly, and the line goes fast. Never been disappointed with a meal, so if you are off 35W or in that Argyle area, you have to try it. I also appreciate the support and love they show law enforcement in the region. read more

So we had takeout from 407 that was so delicious we decided to go in person. I had the chopped brisket during my in person visit. It was good but the sliced beef brisket is much better. The banana pudding for dessert was nice. The special ribs of the day were already sold out so we couldn't try those but would love to try that sometime.The menu also includes breakfast and if we get up early one morning we'll go. The only thing I would say that could be improved is social distancing and hygiene for the staff such as wearing masks And more frequent cleaning of the dining area. It's a very nice new building but the parking lot is still gravel. So be cautious when you're walking and just be ready for a little bit of a bumpy ride on the way into the parking lot. This was one of the first BBQ places I went to when I moved to Texas. It's always packed except for just my recent visit which was great it wasn't so crowded. The food is very good and consistent the prices are very fair. The sides are good as well which can be a weak point for some BBQ places. Their sauce is very good and doesn't mask the taste of the meat. I hadn't been back for a while and forgot that I liked this place. Service is good and the atmosphere is casual. This is a hidden gem. My boyfriend and I came for a date night and we were very impressed! This is not your typical BBQ place. From the moment you walk in to the moment you leave, you will be satisfied. The outdoor patio is a great size for when the weather is warmer, the parking lot is huge and from what I can tell it is well lit for after the sun goes down. It's located off the beaten path in front of a gun range(which we will totally have to check out). When you walk in, it's very spacious and multiple team members greet you as you come in. The decor hooked us right in as my boyfriend is a veteran and an ex cop. We support any business that supports our troops and police/firemen. The young lady who took our order was patient, gave recommendations and allowed us to take our time in ordering. There are SO MANY OPTIONS!! She had great customer service and I wish I would have gotten her name so she could get some well deserved kudos. I asked her what her favorite meat is and she said turkey so I went with that. We did not have to wait too long for food at all. There is a condiments buffet that has pickles, onions, Mayo, ketchup, mustard, jalapeños I believe and some other items that you can throw on your plate once you receive your food. Between the awesome customer service and the cleanliness of the establishment, we were excited to dive in. When I tell you that it was the best cream corn I have ever had- it so is!!! 1000/10! I am impressed with the sides but even more impressed with the meats! My turkey was perfectly juicy, and tender. The brisket had the best flavor, not too smoky, and fell apart when you cut into it. The jalapeño sausage was not spicy (I'm sensitive to spice)- however they make it was incredible. I'd give the Mac n cheese a 10/10, I'm not a green beans fan but the boyfriend said 9/10 (which he's pickier than I am so that's impressive), the rolls are a nice touch and so yummy! If we had more time I would have bought a bottle of their bbq sauce because it was AMAZING! Sweet with a little kick. All in all I don't want to brush my teeth tonight just to savor the taste of it all for a bit longer, I suppose we will be back because we were more than satisfied. The BBQ here is truly amazing - the brisket was incredibly tender and melts in your mouth. It also had amazing burnt ends - loved it. Mac cheese was really good, same with the pork ribs! One thing to note is that the dry rub is very peppery, probably could be taken down a notch, but their homemade BBQ sauce is so good and sweet that is offsets the spiciness on the meat. They didn't have a long line at all and our food was out in less than 3 minutes after ordering! Why I gave them 4 stars rather than 5: their bathroom signs have XX and XY next to the bathroom signs. Essentially, being openly anti-trans. Also the bathrooms aren't stalls, just a room with a toilet and a sink so why the hell does it matter? I'm not trans and honestly, I'm not even that liberal, but I found that so purposefully hateful. But I guess I should've expected that at a bbq place in the country. Bummer. 407 has now (2022) become our favorite BBQ go-to place. The food is fantastic, including the sides. Their sauces are excellent also. The only downside is the way their cue line inevitably runs across the front door, constantly requiring people to cross-cross every time a utensil or sauce or napkin is needed. Went for the first time today. Absolutely packed parking lot that looked more like a luxury car sales lot. Nice menu, already out of items when we arrived Ordered half rack of ribs plate with baked beans and potato salad. It came with 2 rolls. Found a table easily enough. Ribs evenly good, just the right amount of juicy without being dry at all. Meal would have been perfect but as we got up to leave, a man charging up to get his order actually stepped over my husbands knee to get past him -- as if he didn't exist and without apologizing for his rudeness. Amazing. To top it off, we were almost run over by driver in a Tesla, who didn't bother to see if anyone was there before backing out.
