This is a true coffee hangout. Great coffee, good treats, and incredible sandwiches; but the employees are the stars of the show. Knowledgeable and willing to offer unbiased (maybe slightly biased) opinions on their favorite menu items. They are even willing to tweak items to better fit your tastes. Great experience. read more

Great downtown coffee shop! Their iced coffees and frappes are wonderful! I also highly recommend their jalapeño cheddar stuffed pretzels.

I decide to stop in and work for awhile before going to visit my mother. It was around 9am on a week day. This place seems to be favorite in the small town of Wendell. When I walked in, right away I knew that I would sit for a few hours. They have comfortable seating, with plenty of power outlets along the walls. I was not in a big mood for coffee, so I decided on a green tea alomond milk latte with a pump of vanilla syrup. I wish they had coconut milk, but the almond milk was ok. I also had a breakast sandwich on a pressed english muffin. I couldn't resist trying a pastry, so I went with the lemon cranberry muffin. That was delicious, which to my surprise was lemon curd inside the muffin..very yummy indeed. They have so many savory and sweet selections. I saw 3 different varieties of quiche and so much more. Service is fast and the employees are friendly. The locals of Wendell are lucky to have this gem. read more

We went here for breakfast this morning and arrived before they got very busy. We ordered to eat in and we're all finished while still waiting on one waffle, over 40 minutes later. Two to-go waffles had come out so my mother, who is visiting from out of town, went to ask about the waffle. The two employees were very rude. The younger guy said he's was just making coffees and didn't know when the waffle would be done. A blonde women then told my mother that "she was really busy and running back and forth" in an extremely rude tone. We understand places are busy but we were waiting before she got extremely busy. For $65 and a 20% tip before any service is provided we will go somewhere that values it's customers. I will never recommend this place again or bring any family or friends here. I'm so angry at how my mother was spoken to for simply asking a question about when a waffle would be ready. read more

Love this place! it's close by and the coffee is FANTASTIC! The food is great too! I'm gonna miss the soups though, that was the only thing my daughter could eat besides the popcorn I hope they will consider bringing the soups back! Other wise I LOVE this place! read more

This is seriously one of the nicest coffee shops I have ever been to. I lived in Charlotte for over four years, and it's nicer than anything they have. The decor, the furniture, plenty of tables and chairs, and soft seating at the front on either side of the entrance. WiFi and plenty out outlets for keeping tablet/laptop charged. Delicious pastries, quiche, etc. Reasonably priced. Staff is nice. Not as fast as Starbucks I expect that at a local shop. The only thing somewhat negative that I will say about my trip today is ther are four small children with a few adults camped out up front. Not what I want to see in a coffee shop.
