Best coffee shop ever and great food selection. I love the quiches and pretzel. I highly recommend!

This is a wonderful place to visit if you want to kill your grandparents without any evidence pointing towards you! No but jokes aside this place is terrible and if I could give 0 stars I would because whenever I come there's nobody (Including the employees) wearing masks which would be fine if we weren't smack dab in the middle of a pandemic that has killed almost 300000 people in our dumbass country. I myself had Covid in June and was in the hospital for 3 weeks on a ventilator so don't come at me with the "it's not even that bad" bullshit. I truly hope that the people who work there get their shit together and follow a simple rule that can and will prevent sickness and hopefully help get our lives back to normal. read more

I visit this establishment sometimes up to 3 times a week because I love it so much. I love getting the quiche and tea for breakfast. Sometimes I splurge on a dessert and they are always delicious. I've tried and enjoyed a few lunch items, smoothies, breakfast sandwiches, and soups. The staff are always friendly, clean, and safe (always wearing mask when I've been there during COVID). I'm not much of a coffee person but I love going to this place for the ambiance and the pastries. They have these whole wheat croissants that are sooo tasty. This place was a diamond in a small town, my husband and I are from Washington where coffee is everywhere. This place has the best coffee we could find in Raleigh and their goat cheese fig sandwich was AMAZING! I like to pick something I wouldn't normally order, but it did not disappoint. Great, fast, made to order drinks. I had a coffee frappe and my fiancé just got black coffee & we also ordered two quiche (southwestern for him, spinach and feta for me). The quiche were delicious. The employees are friendly. We visited Wendell this morning for service on a van and were pleased to find this little place in walking distance. Quiche was soggy and way too salty. Staff not very attentive and could smile occasionally.

The shop itself is lovely. But the service is slow and the coffee is expensive. My husband went in first thing in the morning and was handed a cold cup of coffee. When he said something about it, the woman behind the counter figured out that someone had put water in the machine and let the pot sit overnight to clean (or something like that--the explanation was hazy) so basically he was served a cup of old coffee/cleaning solution?? The most annoying thing was that there was no effort to make things right or make up for this gross error. He was handed another cup of coffee and blown off. Geesh, not even a coupon for a few bucks off next time? I highly doubt we will be back. read more

Great coffee shop and a favorite among locals. Drinks and food are good quality but may come with a little wait. Wait times have never bothered me, but may be inconvenient if you're in a rush. If so, I recommend only ordering a drink. Menu contains a large number of items, but is not overwhelming. Nice place to hang out, especially in a small town. Very nice local café. The last time I was there they were using counterculture coffee. A variety of brewing options are available, frappe's, cappuccino's, red eyes. They also have a fairly decent menu with some nice southern options. It's self serve, and the staff behind the bar are all very nice. read more

So happy we found this place. Very sad it's not closer to home but it's totally worth the trip. Iced Carmel latte was PERFECT! We shared a Ham And Cheddar everything Bagel and a Bacon and Egg Sandwich (English muffin) both were tasty but I preferred the bagel sandwich, very filling and extremely flavorful. Very disappointing morning. I've lived here for a year now and I went this morning to get a coffee. It was well over 20 minutes before I got mine. All these people were getting theirs and food that showed up well after me. I hate confrontation, so finally after 20 minutes I got up and asked about my coffee. The girl with purple hair said the guy working might have misheard me. But he never indicated that when I ordered. I told her what I ordered. She said she made something completely. So she went to make it and I made sure to say it's hot not iced. She shook the cup at me to let me know it's hot. Like damn, I'm just trying to make sure I get what I paid for and tipped for. Then AFTER it's made she said it's a coffee breve not a latte breve. I wanted a latte breve but I was not about to tell that to her. She was so rude to me. You think after they see me sitting there for so long they would politely ask what my order was to make sure I was taken care of. Even after I got up to ask about what was going on, other customers were even concerned for me. A white chocolate breve is pretty simple so I don't understand why the staff have a hard to figuring that out. If the guy didn't hear me clearly, he could have asked me to repeat myself. He did not indicate once that he didn't hear me correctly and only asked if that was everything for me. And every other time I've been the temperature of the coffee is perfect, I didn't take a sip until I got to my car it burnt my entire tongue and mouth. Never in my life have I had a coffee be boiling hot. I feel like crying cuz it's such uncomfortable experience. I just can't get over how the girl with purple hair treated me, the customer. As if it were my fault somehow? I will never come back. And to think I left a tip for them to treat me like that. read more

One of the best little coffee shops I've been to in awhile. Their latte is seriously on point here-- the flavor of the coffee is deep and rich (none of the burnt BS you get at Starbucks). I was really surprised. I also really liked that they serve the coffee at just the right temperature, and not scorching hot like most coffee joints. Very, very impressed. To top it off, the baked goods here were delicious too. My partner got a salted caramel cookie, and I got a PBJ bar, and we both loved our sweets. Needless to say, we will be back! read more

Wonderful atmosphere. They have games and couches so you can just relax and enjoy a cup of coffee and a pastry with friends. There is also a large group table. Not a very big shop but everyone was very nice the coffee that I got was wonderful (Brown sugar latte) and not too sweet. My sisters also got coffee drinks and both loved their choices; cookie butter blended coffee and vanilla latte. We each got a pastry as well. Gluten free banana chocolate chip loaf had a lot of flavor. Double chocolate chunk muffin and crumb cake were also chosen and had rave reviews. Can't wait to go back again. read more

In town visiting my Aunt and decided to stop into try this cute little shop. She claims it's one of her favorites. About a twenty minute drive but well worth it!!
