Ask the Community - 4100 Bar

Is there a place aside from the main bar aka if I have a bday with 30 people can I bring them without making any sort of reservation?

This place is really small!

What's the vibe like on a Saturday night?

Usually on Saturdays from 5-8 the bar has a chill vibe but after 10pm is when it picks up and the bar is packed!

They found us a seat w/o a proper reservation, and the place was lively. Ordered the hummingbird, which was unexpectedly herbaceous. Tangy with smoky undertones. Refreshing. I quite enjoyed it. The husband got the bellhop, which he said was fine but not mind blowing. We ordered the Chicken liver toast, fried mozzarella, and chicken sandwich hot and spicy. The husband got the mussels. Chicken liver toast was served w mustard seed and berry compote, which highlighted the buttery fatness. The toast wasn't crunchy and a bit difficult to cut, but the pickled vegetables were fantastic. The fried mozzarella was simple and decently executed, somewhat generic and forgettable. Better than standard mozzarella sticks. The fries were crisp and perfectly seasoned. A+. That chicken sandwich was toothsome and juicy. Def worthy of a repeat visit. I'll be thinking abt this sandwich for a while. Of his mussels, the husband appreciated the spicy broth but was underwhelmed by the crusty bread it accompanied. I had a wonderful experience personally, hence the 4 stars, but proceed with caution.

Sadly underwhelming. The restaurant offers basic "bar" food, served with basic service…read more I wanted to love this place and support, but it is a one and done for me. The one positive is nice decor and space.

Their recommendations were spot on. The atmosphere is intimate, cozy, and honestly perfect for a date night. It has such a warm and inviting vibe that makes you want to stay for hours. Unfortunately, we arrived just after the kitchen had closed, but that only gives me another reason to come back. The service was truly top-tier, and the wine was absolutely divine. I even enjoyed both a white and a red during my visit. Normally mixing wines can leave me with a headache the next day, but the bartenders paired everything so thoughtfully that the wines complemented each other beautifully, and I felt great afterward. I can't wait to return and experience both the food and wine together next time. Highly recommend!

There was a split second, when we were sitting outside, I totally had a NYC summer flashback having drinks with friends in friendly neighborhood bars. The staff here is friendly and helpful. And over time, this place has always had a fun vibe and reasonably priced drinks. The folks here seem to always be friendly as well. Even after all these years, this place could still get pretty crowded (the space isn't huge so that helps). They also have the Dodgers games on when available so that's great if you want to grab a drink in the area and don't want to miss the game. On my most recent trip, I came here after having dinner with a couple of friends in the area for a after dinner drink/ night cap. Ordered the martini and it was good! Just a great place in the area to meet up with friends to grab a cocktail if you wanna low-key place that has reasonable prices for good cocktails.

He was friendly, welcoming, and gave us a great first impression. However, our experience afterward was disappointing. We waited nearly 20 minutes to be seated and another 20-30 minutes before anyone took our order. I understand that restaurants get busy, and we were trying to be patient because we could see the staff was overwhelmed. When we finally got our beer, I told our server, Noah, that I could pour it myself if that would help. Instead of explaining the situation politely, he responded with attitude and said, "You know I can't serve you guys, right?" I apologized, but then he told us, "Nah, you guys have to leave." This was frustrating after waiting so long just to place an order. We were never rude or disrespectful to the staff, so the interaction felt unprofessional and unnecessary. I completely understand being busy, but customer service should still be respectful. Unfortunately, this experience left a negative impression despite the great welcome we received from Nate.

I do feel like it's a bit overpriced for what you get, but the service was good. They were backed up on our order and apologized by providing complimentary wine on the house, which was very kind of them. We got the Tuna tostada, Caesar salad and the pan con tomate. The tuna was fresh and the other two were just alright to me. It was really interesting as the salad had saradines which was different but nothing bad, but nothing really memorable either. Parking can be tough, but I was lucky enough to find street parking. Seating is also limited, and the wait can be long including the restroom line. However, we got lucky and were able to grab a table without waiting too long. Overall, it's a nice place with a great ambience, and I can see the appeal of this bar.

The bartender was so sweet and let us sample some as well until we landed on our desired. The place is so cute with its decorations and interior design. However its tinyyyy. Even though there's outdoor seating anticipate this place to get packed or even feel packed even at under capacity. Its an intimate setting that I think does best with its neighborhood bar environment and drinks for a first date but i wouldnt exactly bring all the girls here you know? I would say while they have food and snacks here its not their priority and a bit on the pricer side so I would say at the end of the day this place is a proper bar. It is a smaller spot, and there was only one bartender holding it down, so things got a little busy at times, but the staff was super friendly and handled it like pros. Definitely recommend swinging by on a Monday if you're looking for good drinks, good vibes, and a little healthy trivia competition.
