Eggs Benedict with house smoked salmon.

If you are looking for a thoughtfully prepared meal, you will find one here. Isaac was our server and he shared they source most of their ingredients locally and you call tell! The ambiance was warm and inviting, and the prices are fair. We will definitely be back.

Love this place for breakfast. We always come in once while visiting in the summer. I like to get in right before opening because the place fills up fast. I love and always get their Jambalaya omelette with home fries/potatoes and toast. Unfortunately, this visit the home fries/potatoes were undercooked. I would have preferred crispy over undercooked. I should have sent them back. I do love their homemade jam spread served with toast. A very yummy breakfast.

We enjoyed the salmon scramble and weekend special biscuits and gravy. The food was tasty and the service was great. The ambiance definitely felt like a locally owned family restaurant.

Very cute place to have breakfast. Just get there early if you want the beignets! We loved the variety in the menu - starting with the bloody Mary's. The smoked salmon eggs Benedict was a nice twist on the classic. I ordered the freshly shucked oyster omelette with fair warning that it was super oyster flavored - it was like oysters Rockefeller in an omelette! Our friend ordered the jambalaya omelette and loved it. There was a wonderful Blackberry compote for our toast and we needed to buy several jars to take home. Service was wonderful from that double check that I really liked oysters that much (lol) to the always flowing coffee refills and very friendly check ins from our server. We will definitely come back the next time we are in town!

Attentive service. Nice staff. Good variety of breakfast stuff, including some lunch options. Gluten free options. Chicken Fried Steak was huge, bring your appetite.

Good breakfast! First thing I noticed, and very much appreciated, was how clean the place was! Granted it was breakfast time, but I'm not sure I've ever seen such clean floors in a dining room. Serious kudos! We ordered coffees, French toast, and a 2 egg plate. I was anxious to try their French toast, since a tad unique. The egg plate was tasty, everything cooked great. The highlight of the table, however, was the jam they provide. Extra yummy...great on toast of course, but wish I'd added it to my French toast too. Unfortunately I made that tasty combo discovery at the end of my meal.

We ate here for breakfast on Cinco de Mayo, I didn't even remember that it was Mexican Independence Day until we sat down and saw the breakfast special that was celebrating the day. It was outstanding! We also had a New Orleans style beignet split between two of us and having spent quite a bit of time in that city, I have to say they did it right here 3000 miles away. Service was a ton of but not overbearing in a very busy restaurant, and the atmosphere is upscale and quirky. Can't wait to go back and try some more of their offerings, give this place a try if you're in this part of the world.

Came here for the beignets! They did not disappoint. Breakfast was served piping hot and delicious, they had a wonderful selection of housemade jams. The coffee was some of the best coffee we've had in a restaurant. I would definitely come back when revisiting this area.

Super cute dining room. They even have post cards to take and mail away. Drinks were perfect. We got a MANmosa and a Bloody Mary. We shared the jambalaya omelet. Fluffiest eggs ever!! Lots of sausage for him and veggies for me. We love this place. Make sure to get here early! They fill up quick. Also staff is super knowledgeable and friendly. Make you feel at home every time.

So nice had it twice in one weekend! Small boutique cafe style and such friendly service and the food was super tasty with decent portion sizes. Typically I am not big on coffee but they have some of the best coffee in Long Beach hands down!

Salmon scramble, ham & cheese omelette, a Bloody Mary and Marion berry lemonade.

We own a house in Long Beach, and during the time we lived there full-time, this was our go-to spot for anniversaries and my husband's birthdays. It exudes that cozy, historic Seaview charm that invites you to relax and linger...warm, intimate, and full of character without being over the top. A true small-town and now not so hidden gem. My husband is a fan of their Old Fashioneds, particularly those with a smoked maple twist, and he often gravitates back to the slow-braised pork. Their current Southern Comfort Pork dish is just his style: slow-braised pork shoulder served over brown sugar yam mash with jalapeño creamed corn, green onion, and maple-bacon salsa. That's comfort food crafted with real culinary skill. As someone who follows a plant-based diet, I truly appreciate how The Depot makes an effort to accommodate vegetarian and vegan diners in a way that feels genuine rather than forced. Last winter, I was thrilled to discover the ginger-coconut soba noodles, they were flavorful, satisfying, and perfectly balanced. Their current mika soba noodles with garlic-ginger coconut cream, vegetables, toasted cashews, and cilantro are exactly the kind of dish I'm thankful to find on a Peninsula menu. I also have fond memories of Burger Wednesdays from our time on the Peninsula. It's incredible how satisfying a customized portobello burger can be when a kitchen understands texture and seasoning especially in a place where plant-based options can still be scarce. The food is fantastic, but the service deserves a special mention. While Peninsula restaurants are known for their good service, The Depot's service is exceptional: polished, friendly, warm, and just the right amount of attentive. Although we now reside in California, we plan to make another reservation when we return to the Long Beach Peninsula in July. I'm already looking forward to their summer menu. Note: I've forgotten to take photos so the ones on this review are from the restaurants social media - definitely a reflection of our last meal at The Depot without the drinks.

We ended up ordering the BLTTA sandwich with house made chips, the reuben sandwich with sweet potato waffle fries and one of their daily specials, brisket with macaroni and cheese. The food was fresh and delicious! Everything was cooked perfectly and we all finished our food. No leftovers. We especially loved the sweet potato waffle fries; crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. The turkey on the BLTTA was not lunch meat, it was fresh turkey breast. So yummy! Overall a wonderful experience. We will definitely be back to try some of their other menu items. Highly recommend.

But: I just had probably the best clam chowder I've ever had. More clams, big chunks of clams, than potatoes......and somehow even tender, yet still identifiable celery? For real, I'd eat a gallon of that chowder. I almost took some to go. Fortunately, I went a bit jiggy with my fried prawns.....and got the 10pc! Like the chowder, the prawns were beyond excellent. Lightly breaded, tempura, almost. The breading actually had body and flavor....it isn't window dressing! And the prawns were very big, very juicy, and absolutely the perfect level of done.......a revelation among prawns, for sure! The sauces didn't taste like they came off the food service truck either. Both the tartar sauce and cocktail sauce were exemplary. The added coleslaw was bright and crisp with just a hint of malt vinegar.....a perfect dressing!
