    Quesabirria and carne asada fries

Awesome lunch here! The staff were so kind, and the restaurant had a cozy, homey feel to it. Our food was so good!! The quesabirria tacos were so flavorful and pretty crispy, even with the consommé. The rice and beans were tasty too! My husband really enjoyed his carne asada fries. Just like my dish, his meal was packed with flavor and was so good. And both were really generous portions! Highly recommend coming here!

Calamari of your dreams. Trust me.

Awesome food. Great service. Unassuming location. We arrived in town and by the time we were settled in to our hotel room, it was time for dinner. After looking on the internet for what's available, High Tide Grille sounded good. After a short drive from our hotel we found the unassuming single story building next to a thrift store. The parking lot was full. That's a good sign. Never eat at a restaurant with only a couple cars in the lot at any time. There is at least 4 employees working. Only 3 cars in the lot, keep driving. There was still some parking. We walked in as the last group was leaving. Sat immediately with water and menus soon after. The menu had some good choices. A little something for all ages. My Mother in law chose a French dip and fries. My Wife got the BLT and Fries. I wanted an order of Steamer Clams and Fettuccine Alfredo with Prawns. Our waiter took our order, unfortunately, they were out of clams due to supply shortage. No problem, I had trouble deciding on clams or calamari. No clams, no problem. I'll have fried calamari as our appetizer. All the food for our meal looked amazing. Unfortunately for the internet, the only picture I managed to take was of the calamari and we started eating it before I could open my camera app. Trust me. The pictures would be nice but it couldn't catch the reality of the food here. Amazing. The calamari was tender with a good crunchy batter. It was perfect. I'd come back just for the calamari. My Mother in law and my Wife had the genius idea of splitting there sandwiches. So they each got a French Dip and a BLT. Smart. I was not sharing my food, not after I tasted the sauce. The Alfredo Sauce was cheesy and savory. The Prawns were cooked perfectly and the Toast that it came with, da bomb. They could make a dish that was just the toast and sauce. I'd buy it. A lot. The ladies joyfully ate their sandwiches but complained they had a lot of fries. I.E. They both eat like baby birds. I didn't have any complaints. If I did have one suggestion, it would be, sprinkle a little fresh herbs on the pasta. Needs a little contrast in color. It would only be better. My other suggestion would be to never serve warm water. Our refill was a little warm. I was the only one who ordered a drink and it was only a soda. I can't tell you how many times at other restaurants, I was handed a fountain drink that was flat at best. Not at High Tide Grille, they handed me a can of soda and a glass full of ice. I couldn't have asked for more. It was only a soda but it was exactly the way I love it. Another home run for this unassuming grille. The ladies obviously didn't eat all their fries. We also didn't finish the calamari and I also didn't finish my pasta. Not because we didn't like something, but because it was a decent amount of food. Not overflowing but not skimpy. The prices were decent as well. I mean seriously, expect to pay higher prices anywhere near the coast. High Tide Grille wasn't that high priced in my opinion. For good table side service and great food, High Tide Grille was priced decent. I guess we have to come back and get those Steamer Clams another time. Awesome.

I just really liked these cups...when the OJ was filled up it was so pretty.

This is more like a 4.6, I was pleasantly surprised by everything here! Nice variety on the menu, wonderful, attentive & friendly service, and a really clean, new interior. We went for Friday brunch with a 7 top and although it's a small restaurant, they were very accommodating & all our dishes came out together in a timely fashion. I ordered a vegetarian omelette, no cheese add bacon. Loaded with lots of veggies & since there were a couple of Mexican dishes ordered at the table they brought us a couple of salsas which paired nicely with my dish. Besides a variety of breakfast dishes, American & Mexican they had some fresh seafood specials written on a hoard at the front. Our friends had come for dinner the day before since we were staying in an Air B & B close by and he got to meet the owner. He said he was very nice & his mom was cooking in the evening & his uncle in the day. If you're everything Long Beach Washington this is a solid choice for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

Came here not expecting much after visiting Long Beach - was pleasantly surprised! Service was great, food was delicious. Thank you!

High Tide hits the spot every single time. The Carne Asada Fries are loaded, flavorful, and easily some of the best in the area. The Beef Nachos are just as good--stacked high, plenty of cheese, and perfect for sharing (or not!). I also tried the Asada Burrito, which was packed, tender, and super satisfying. Even the basics shine here--the hamburger is cooked well, juicy, and surprisingly delicious for a spot known for Mexican food. And definitely don't skip the Steamers. They're hearty, flavorful, and exactly what you want when you're craving true comfort food. Overall, great portions, fresh ingredients, and consistently good flavors. I'll definitely be back!

Was very curious about this place but had not stopped...well that changed and now have been there 3 different occasions in less than a month. It's a great atmosphere and service is top notch. So many yummy food options. Definitely recommend giving it a shot

The service was great! Super nice people and it has cute decorations on the inside of the restaurant. I ordered Roja chilaquiles, which were delicious. Love the vibes in there and I highly recommend coming here.

Let's be clear, the Mexican dishes are on point! The service left a little a little to be desired.. In their defense, they have only been open a couple months, so they are still likely working out the kinks. The ambiance seems a bit cookie cutter, but it was comfortable.

What a taste treat we experienced the other day at the High Tide Grille. This new, clean, cozy little joint is worth trying! Not only is the service impeccable, the food was delicious and plentiful! I got the chicken enchiladas with mole. The enchiladas were tender, and tasty. The mole was some of the best mole I've ever had. A slight sweet cocoa flavor was definitely present, but it was not overpowering....just perfect. I am no expert on mole, but I found this sauce to be incredibly delicious. My friend got the Nachos. And boy, they were loaded and good! I also ordered the Quesabirria special to go, for my husband. Neither one of us has ever had birria before and I can honestly say, we will certain have it again! So, SO good! My husband's first comment upon biting into one of the dipped tacos was "this is one tasty sauce". We will certainly be going back to High Tide Grille and you should definitely check them out! The staff is top notch friendly and inviting. Good food, good service, two hearty thumbs up from me!

This is the deconstructed molcajete and soooo delicioso

The food and service were outstanding!! This is perfect spot for breakfast, lunch and dinner.. highly recommend coming here. Have not experienced such amazing service in a while

We own a house in Long Beach, and during the time we lived there full-time, this was our go-to spot for anniversaries and my husband's birthdays. It exudes that cozy, historic Seaview charm that invites you to relax and linger...warm, intimate, and full of character without being over the top. A true small-town and now not so hidden gem. My husband is a fan of their Old Fashioneds, particularly those with a smoked maple twist, and he often gravitates back to the slow-braised pork. Their current Southern Comfort Pork dish is just his style: slow-braised pork shoulder served over brown sugar yam mash with jalapeño creamed corn, green onion, and maple-bacon salsa. That's comfort food crafted with real culinary skill. As someone who follows a plant-based diet, I truly appreciate how The Depot makes an effort to accommodate vegetarian and vegan diners in a way that feels genuine rather than forced. Last winter, I was thrilled to discover the ginger-coconut soba noodles, they were flavorful, satisfying, and perfectly balanced. Their current mika soba noodles with garlic-ginger coconut cream, vegetables, toasted cashews, and cilantro are exactly the kind of dish I'm thankful to find on a Peninsula menu. I also have fond memories of Burger Wednesdays from our time on the Peninsula. It's incredible how satisfying a customized portobello burger can be when a kitchen understands texture and seasoning especially in a place where plant-based options can still be scarce. The food is fantastic, but the service deserves a special mention. While Peninsula restaurants are known for their good service, The Depot's service is exceptional: polished, friendly, warm, and just the right amount of attentive. Although we now reside in California, we plan to make another reservation when we return to the Long Beach Peninsula in July. I'm already looking forward to their summer menu. Note: I've forgotten to take photos so the ones on this review are from the restaurants social media - definitely a reflection of our last meal at The Depot without the drinks.

Crispy, flaky, fresh, and absolutely delicious! My only request is a few more fries because they disappeared faster than my willpower around good seafood. Coleslaw: Let's just say... it had seen some things. The cabbage had already started making its own juice and seemed one step away from becoming sauerkraut. Definitely not my cup of tea. Tartar sauce: Good! No complaints. It quietly did its job. Service: 5/5. The staff were amazing! Super friendly, welcoming, and the food arrived incredibly fast. They definitely earned top marks. Ambiance: 5/5. It had the charm of a classic fishing shack, packed with fun nautical decorations and quirky touches. It felt authentic, relaxed, and like the kind of place where fish stories get bigger with every visit. Overall, I'd happily come back for the halibut, the fantastic service, and the fun atmosphere.

The service was attentive and really efficient, the ambiance is artfully decorated dollar bills stuck in between railroad and coastal memorabilia......it's an eclectic mix for ambiance. But: I just had probably the best clam chowder I've ever had. More clams, big chunks of clams, than potatoes......and somehow even tender, yet still identifiable celery? For real, I'd eat a gallon of that chowder. I almost took some to go. Fortunately, I went a bit jiggy with my fried prawns.....and got the 10pc! Like the chowder, the prawns were beyond excellent. Lightly breaded, tempura, almost. The breading actually had body and flavor....it isn't window dressing! And the prawns were very big, very juicy, and absolutely the perfect level of done.......a revelation among prawns, for sure! The sauces didn't taste like they came off the food service truck either. Both the tartar sauce and cocktail sauce were exemplary. The added coleslaw was bright and crisp with just a hint of malt vinegar.....a perfect dressing! I stopped in for just "some food"......what I got was a delightful experience. I'll absolutely be back!
