I e-mailed this company with a detailed brief on an estimate I had wanted (incl. pictures and listing of what I wanted to do), very clearly explaining that I needed an estimate as I am looking to purchase my first house but it is dependent upon if I would be able to afford to rehab the basement and update the 2nd floor bathroom (i.e. if rehab costs x dollars and I could only spend y dollars, I would not go forward with the house but if x = x then I would). Their response was very curt explaining that I would have to buy the property first before they provided an estimate. We worked with Damian on what would have been a $150-$300k basement remodel. They sent a detailed bid and in October 2022 we agreed in principal to proceed, including putting down $500 for an initial walk-through with his architect. We conveyed that we were ready to commit but preferred to start the process (and make initial large payment) in the first couple months of 2023. Damian made the standard disclaimer that various costs tend to increase, and did mention that they may increase their design fees starting on January 1st as well. I acknowledged that I understand inflation, etc. Then in mid January (3 months later) we contacted them to proceed, and Damian and his team decided that they now wanted $12,000 instead of $7,000 just for the design fee. He tried to say this is based on inflation. I asked why he didn't give us a heads up of such a significant price increase at the time, or in late December and he stated that he has 1,500 customers in my situation and can't possibly notify them all. Really? 1,500 customers that paid something in October to begin, and was ready to sign a contract, but wanted to wait 3 months to proceed? Damian is unreasonable and unprofessional in my judgment and while it's certainly possible that this firm may do good work, and may have other people who are reasonable and professional, I couldn't recommend working with someone like this when there are plenty of good, reasonable, and professional firms out there who can do just as well. read more

In the beginning of 2021 when we were in the deep pandemic situation we decided that it's time to do our kitchen and hallway bathroom remodeling project. For about five weeks we did the research to find good companies that could provide us with design solutions as well quality work and good warranty. It wasn't easy as we interviewed seven companies and five of them eliminated themselves on the spot By improper approach to us as a potential customer. Only two of them could meet our requirements and budget, witches one of them was 4Ever Remodeling. The reason we went with 4Ever Remodeling is that we could verified they have quality installers with long experience as this was one of our top priorities because we didn't want to have any amateurs doing our project. 4Ever Remodeling was able to provide us with their policies that they only hire people with at least five years of experience and license plumbers and electricians. In addition to this requirement we want to have design team helping us to optimize the space and this company provides three years labor warranty for every project they build, which was a big factor to us. During the interview process with 4Ever Remodeling we found out that they have five different lines of cabinetry at their showroom that could meet pretty much every budget. After back-and-forth we pulled the trigger and signed the contract to start the project. Design team that worked with us was Magda lead designer type of coordinator and Anna our interior designer. We been assigned to the Project Manager who was in touch with us from the design completion and project walk-through into the final completion and signing so called "project completion closeout list". The day they started the project it was obvious that they operated on the high-level  and team that arrived on the job brought plastic covers, floor covering and zippers to protect the rest of the house from dust. The team of Adam and Wotek did quality work from start to finish. They cleaned working area on the daily basis before they left and kept the project secured. We received detail schedule and they finished the whole work three days before estimated completion date. The whole project cost was approximately $90,000 which is on the higher end what we had budgeted, however the money was well spent as the project looks very good and my wife enjoys cooking meals as well my kids like sitting by the peninsula and watching TV. We had a few challenges during the construction but this is looked normal on the house that is over 60 years old and you don't know what to expect when you complete the demolition. Overall experience with 4Ever Remodeling was very positive and straightforward. Three months after the project we was completed one issue was discovered with the backsplash tile loose and we called the office to have someone take a look on it. Gutted bathroom and removed all tile from floor and walls, removed existing shower unit. Installed new subfloor, cement board, tile on walls to 48in, tile to ceiling in shower, waterproofed, poured custom shower base, custom shower niche. Moved wall back two feet to expand shower. Installed exhaust fan where there was not one previously, ran vent to exterior of house. Installed new electrical hookup for fan. Installed hydrostatic shower system. Patched and painted several areas of drywall opened up from plumbing update. Reinstalled toilet and existing vanity/sink in two bathrooms. Painted and installed wall fixtures. This is the fourth project I've done with Damian and his team, and the most complex. He worked around my schedule when it took me longer than expected to get the materials and tile (I provided the tile and some of the other materials to save on cost). He also worked around some schedule changes when I decided to bring a plumber in to replace our pipes and drains while the walls were open for the remodel. Marcin installed the tile and did an excellent job. I think the job was a bit more involved than they had expected with the tile design (used a beveled subway tile with a partial herringbone layout) but there were no complaints about the extra time it took and the job was done skillfully. Marcin and his team stayed late in order to finish the job before my family came into town for an event. Everyone was flexible and easy to work with. I had no qualms about leaving them at my house to work while I was at work each day. They were good with my pets and kept my escape artist cats from escaping the house. They came in the middle of the cost estimates we received but read so many positive reviews that we felt confident that they would provide good quality work. Also, really like the idea of working closely with a designer to help create the design. Magda was great and while we knew pretty much what we wanted in terms of look, working with her allowed us make it happened. Save yourself the headache of having to deal with unprofessionalism. After high pressure tactics, we agreed to pay 4Ever for design services for our large remodel, even though we already had a completed design. We agreed to do so solely on the representation from Damian that he would honor the labor and incidental materials quote that he had already provided based on the existing design and our multiple, extensive discussions about the specifics of the project. I asked him in no uncertain terms, and Damian assured me, in person at my house, that he would not increase his price if we agreed to use their design services. Fast forward two months when the design was completed (largely due to my wife's efforts, not the designer's) -- Damian sends a revised quote that was nearly 30% higher than the quote he had previously provided and assured me he would honor. When I provided him the specific numbers to show this discrepancy and reminded him of his assurance he would honor the price he quoted us when we agreed to pay for design services, he did not dispute that he had promised to honor the price but attempted to accuse us of having an unrealistic budget. Of course, this accusation is remarkable, because Damian had provided the original budget to us based on detailed information that we had provided to him! Even more puzzling is that in attempting to persuade us to pay the ridiculously inflated new price, he informed us that even though they had signed contracts with clients for 29 other projects in the past several months, he increased the prices on all of the contracts in April, and others didn't cancel. Were we supposed to be reassured by the fact that 4Ever didn't honor its pricing on its other contracts? Needless to say, we did not proceed with the project with 4Ever. read more

I talked to at least half a dozen contractors before I picked 4Ever Remodeling. 4Ever Remodeling's price wasn't the cheapest or the most expensive. It was somewhere in the middle. It was reasonable to me. The process was quite simple. They sent me a list of finish materials (such as tiles, grout, shower faucet ...) to purchase and vendors they recommend after the contract was signed. One was a tile store and the other vendor specialized in bathroom items such as shower systems and vanity lights. Each of these vendors had knowledgeable people who were very helpful us. We just showed them the shopping list from 4Ever Remodeling and they provided all all the information and recommendations we need. We made our choices, make the payments, and arrange for deliveries. We spend one to two hours with each vendor and our shopping task was complete. This whole shopping process was surprisingly painless and productive. We got to talk to the specialists for information and recommendations we need. It enabled us to make informed decisions. We had no need to worry about making wrong choices. We also received discounts from those vendors because of 4Ever Remodeling. I am very happy with the work done by 4Ever Remodeling. They didn't make shortcuts. Everything was professionally done. We had already finished basement but the one part of it was missing which was the bathroom. As we spend these days more time at home, and have only one bathroom on the first floor the good decision was to add another bathroom in the basement. We checked online and few contractor options. We scheduled five in-home consultation's with five different providers. One of the many things that 4Ever Remodeling stood out from other vendors was quick and easy communication. This was huge selling point for us as others Contractors didn't respond to us promptly and sometimes we've been waiting for over a week to get answers for our question. In addition to good communication the project manager handled the project professionally scheduling carpenters and plumber to do the work. The project took around four weeks and was very positive experience. One more thing I want to add to the review that 4Ever Remodeling provided us with a welcome package which included insurance, licenses, referral list, warranty terms, sample of the payment statement and what to expect. We chose 4Ever Remodeling for our kitchen remodel after meeting with Damian and receiving his quote. Of all the contractors we met, Damian was the only one we felt was on our same wavelength and we continued to be happy with our choice throughout the project. Here's the way the company works: the customer can choose to work with a designer (Magda) or not; Magda's services cost $700 (or $750, I can't remember) up front. If you choose not to work with Magda, the customer is responsible for making all product choices and purchases; if you work with her, she'll help pick materials, do the design elements, and figure out good color combinations (she'll even go shopping with you!). Once those choices are made, the customer is responsible for most of the purchasing - the sink, faucet, appliances, tiles, etc., while the company orders the cabinetry and provides some of the basics, like light fixtures. We chose to work with Magda and are very pleased with the design choices (see pictures) she helped us make. She was extremely responsive, sending us photos of suggested tiles and flooring and never pushing us to go beyond the budget. The kitchen is probably the only room in our house that is actually color-coordinated! The process of purchasing all the materials was very time-consuming. It's a trade-off: this way, the customer is in control of many of the budget pieces; on the other hand, you are committing many weekends to gathering all the materials, down to the grout for the backsplash. The project took about 7 weeks, start to finish. We had been given a shorter timeline, but there were some problems along the way, mainly with the cabinets. When they were delivered, two of the cabinets were the wrong size; when the new ones came, their doors were smashed up. Those problems put us well behind schedule. The workmen 4Ever Remodeling uses are polite and punctual, and they did a good job cleaning up. The people working on the heating system were not the best -- we came home the evening after they installed a new line to find it leaking -- but the electrical work looks really good. Some of the finish work is a little less than perfect - the uninsulated vent for the stove, the slight gap between cabinet and wall, the minimal patch to the floor where a radiator was moved. On the other hand, the room looks great, we have a lot more storage than before, and it is the best-lit room in our older home. We would definitely recommend 4Ever Remodeling to anyone concerned with combining quality work and responsible budgeting. read more

I highly recommend 4Ever Remodeling. We hired them to do en extensive remodel of our home ( price for project was $147,350). We remodel our kitchen, 2 bathrooms, replaced windows, upgraded plumbing and electric, new furnace and brick work. We ripped out some of the walls in the house and moved everything around to accommodate new kitchen. They had to trench the slab foundation to move plumbing in the basement. We also refinished all the wood floors in our house, re-painted walls and put new trim in, etc. Almost every surface of our house was renewed. We had never done a remodel before, and had heard horror stories of projects that always went over time and over budget. However, the whole project ended up being a dream. Damian the estimator, was in constant communication with me, Diana kept us informed with invoicing and statement which helped us to stay on a budget ( can you believe it?) and came in UNDER the promised time frame. Throughout the process Damian repeatedly made it clear that they were not satisfied with "good enough", but each thing had to be done "right". Their integrity is unmatched the whole team proved that from Office team, Daniel the lead carpenter, Ralf plumber, Marion floors, Jerry electrician to Kris who worked on the brick. We could not be more pleased. We did interview to get bids from 2 other contractors before deciding on 4Ever Remodeling. One bid was very close and another bid was less. I feel like we got a great value by using 4Ever Remodeling, and I absolutely LOVE my house!!!! If we decide to do any other work on our house in the future, it's a no-brainer.
