I decided to contact Armando seeing he has GIA credentials (anyone who has done their research knows this is the true standard of diamond certification). I called Armando out of the blue and he graciously took my call, and I gave him the specs of what I was looking for (while he was driving down to the jewelry district no less), and he arranged to meet with me two days later on a Sunday afternoon for over 3 hours. He tastefully presented me with 5 different diamonds he was able to obtain from the wholesalers, and let me decide what I liked for myself before even showing me the price. He did not upsell me on the most expensive one, which was classy and appreciated. The best part after seeing the prices...he was not overcharging. I ended up going with a natural 2 carat round diamond (D color, VVS2), which was too good to pass up. The price was well within reason compared to even the best of online retailers. Armando met with me several times and kept in constant communication about the design, including the welder who put the diamond together. My fiancée and I are still in shock how beautiful the diamond turned out. I am blessed to have Armando make this such an easy, yet very personalized experience. I am so grateful to have found Armando, who is genuinely a good human being who cares about people and the bespoke experience of choosing a diamond. I look forward to pairing the engagement ring with a wedding band. I am going to even bring my Tag Heuer in for much needed maintenance (he does it all!). When speaking with Howard prior to bringing in my Citizen Eco Drive watch, he was very knowledgeable and patient in providing me a mini-education and tips on how to maintain my watch in perfect working condition. It is hard not to become cynical as one gets older and less trusting, but Kim and Howard are honest, professional and kind human beings and take their work seriously. They were worth the 2.5 hour drive to have my watch worked on by them. If you live even closer, then you are that much more lucky to have a jewler and watch specialist near you.

I've had my diamonds switched before by a jeweler that was in Ventura years ago ANYWAYS. I'm trying to be cool and say do you have a diamond tester machine? It registered diamond but I noticed that the machine clearly says diamond/moissanite on the machine. I asked for another test and the diamond "pen" registered it as moissanite also. The jewelers that were working both said they think it's diamond that I shouldn't be worried about anything. My sales associate suggested I come back again and talk to Robert and he will help me look at my new earrings to make sure everything is ok. What about this is even normal? No human or technology could put me at ease that my earrings /diamonds were in fact mine??? Normally I would just refer to the laser engraving on the girdle of the stone but I chose a bezel setting and it covers it. This shouldn't happen, this is literally their job. Lastly I noticed that on my receipt it says I paid credit card and I paid cash.
