Wish I could say this was a pleasant experience but, it wasn't great or terrible. The store has a great layout and I would give 4 to 5 stars for that but I must go below that. I saw this store didn't have a Yelp page or Google photos so, I took the Liberty of taking photos. Employee behind the counter rudely asked me "Is there a reason you're taking pictures ". I reply by saying it's for Yelp page and google and that there were no photos when searching the place. She simply replied with an Oh! Not much in the store was $5 so no idea why it's named $5 beach store. They are affiliated with Surf Style that employee told me. Although this is a cool store with many cool things. She was staring at us since we walked in. And I picked up a toy and put it back apparently it had fallen off the shelf and I didn't here. She warned me this was a playground and I said ok. But she saw the toy proceeded to pick it up and then when I went back to that aisle she started staring at me so I went to a different aisle and she's still staring at me. I get a volleyball bounce it once then twice then 3 times she walks over to me and says "first bounce j hard 2nd bounce got mad and 3rd bounce got rlly upset and said this isn't my home which I knew that but I was thinking about buying it. Terrible. We tried to return two unused boogie boards still sealed in the original packaging because another family member bought two that were opened and used. No return only credit. Not sure why they call it $5 since everything was more than that. Found blood on a shirt there and when I told the salesperson they said they just get crazy shipments in and put it back on the rack. Gross. Other clothes were filthy. The rest was just overpriced touristy stuff with a lying sign to get you through the door. Not better prices than any other shop. Avoid this one. read more

I wish I could give this store a zero. Please read reviews before going there. I brought my daughter and her friend to Florida for spring break. My daughter wanted some items to take back home, so we stopped there from leaving Crab Island. The owner walked over to me as I was browsing and shopping and asked if I was done yet. I am the only black person along with my daughter and her friend in there. It was other shoppers, but not of my race. it is so disrespectful and rude for him to ask if I was done yet. I politely handed my items to the worker in the store and walked out. Not to mention, the owner is black himself. There was nothing in that store that I couldn't pay for. Please avoid stores like this. I wish I had read the reviews before going there, but it was near the broadwalk and crab island. read more
