    First time at 506.

Always a nice experience coming to 506 cafe. A cold Friday night and we decided to go for a quick bite. I had the chicken club which was delicious. Chicken had lots of flavor and was cooked perfect. Sandra had the steak with onions a traditional Costa Rican dish. It was delicious. The conversation with the owner after dinner was the highlight. You always feel welcome and at home here. Definitely recommend. Enjoy

They re-opened for pick service and I gave them 2 chances at making a simple breakfast. Both times it was terrible. Ask for well done home fries and both times they were just warmed over, not one tinge of browning. Had the sausages today and they clearly were not refrigerated during the power outage. you could smell the spoiled smell as soon as opening the container. Made the mistake of taking a bite and eating it, and realized they were clearly spoiled. Both times the toast is barely toasted and soggy. I feel sorry for these people, who seem nice, and tried to support them, but I will never go here again till the ownership changes for the 5th time in the last 10 years.

Once you sit down you scan a QR Code to order your food and drinks. I was pretty hungry that day so we ended up ordering a ton of food. The drinks were pretty good and they were served in Le Creuset mugs. Not the biggest deal, but I can appreciate some nice drinkware. The bowl of Kimchi Fried rice came out first. It was a generous portion and the rice was cooked well, but I feel like it could've used some more kimchi. The eggs on top were cooked perfectly and added good texture to the dish. The next dish to come out was the HK French toast. The bread was nice and fluffy which paired well with a nice generous drizzle of condensed milk. I enjoyed this a lot. We also ordered scallion pancake, pork barbecue, and bossam baos. These were ok, I would probably pass on a return visit. I felt like the meat in the baos was a little tough though they did have decent flavor. The last entree was the smoked salmon and avocado croissant; I really enjoyed this. It had a generous helping of smoked salmon and avocado as well. The saltiness of the salmon paired well with the creamy and fatty avocado. The croissant was also nice and flaky. It was also served with a house salad which had a nice drizzle of dressing on it too. For dessert we ordered a Black Sesame Souffle Pancake. This was SO good. A few months ago I visited a place in Princeton that specialized in these Japanese-style pancakes and Tasty Junction's version was so much more enjoyable. I loved that it was served with a healthy scoop of ice cream. The pancake was airy and had a bounce to it. Each bite was so good and made even better with the ice cream. I'd definitely come back just for the pancakes. All in all Tasty Junction is a great spot tucked away in Glen Rock

One thing I really liked is how customizable the menu is. You can choose different creams and ice cream flavors on top - they have a great variety, including strawberry, chocolate, vanilla, taro, ube, and more. The service was great. Everyone was very kind and welcoming, and they let us know that the Japanese soufflé pancakes take about 15 minutes to prepare, which I was completely fine with since they're made fresh. The ambiance is chill and quiet. The café is tucked away on the side of the street - I actually missed it the first time and had to circle back. We were lucky to find street parking right in front, though there aren't many spots available. As for the pancakes themselves, I thought they were just okay. They're made with four eggs, and you can definitely taste them. That said, my daughter absolutely loved them, so it may just come down to personal preference.

I ended up getting The Rosalita ($17.95), a grilled chicken panini which consists of mozzarella cheese, lettuce, tomato and a side of fries. The place was busy on a Sunday (late) morning, but we were seated immediately at a high-top table across from the bar. We both ordered hot coffee, which was incredibly strong. For food, I chose the Chicken Parm Sandwich and my partner got the French Combo. Portion sizes were massive! My Chicken Parm Sandwich was tasty and super filling. The French Combo came as two separate plates - one with the eggs, sausage, bacon, and potatoes, and also a heaping plate of French Toast. I tried a piece of the French Toast, and it was delicious - nice fluffy texture, topped with whipped cream and strawberries. Service was quick and friendly. Overall, a great NJ diner experience!

The Morristown location sits right on South Street across from the Green. It gets very busy for breakfast/brunch but they are also open for lunch and dinner. I really enjoy their all-day brunch menu. During my most recent visit, I ordered the Goddess salad which was delicious. I am obsessed with the dressing paired with this salad. It was extremely light, creamy, and perfect for summer. The Fried Pickles were also breaded nicely and the Spinach Artichoke Dip was super creamy. There is a decent amount of seating available inside and a few tables for outdoor dining. I also decided to order the chipotle bacon burger this time as my main. It was a tad too salty and lacked the chipotle sauciness for me. The sweet potatoes waffle fries was yummy. Notable mentions are when I asked for barbecue sauce on the side and since there were two kinds, the waitress gave me one of each. I would definitely come back or visit another branch.
