I've ordered here with some frequency over the last few years, usually when I am out running errands. I'd say the food quality is mediocre, and the prices have ballooned to levels I would say are prohibitive to the average consumer based on the amount of food you're getting. I ordered a grilled chicken wrap with mozzarella, balsamic, roasted red peppers, etc. the other day and was surprised that it was $17. For a smallish wrap, it's really too costly. The cafe throws in a bag of chips, but I've never asked for one. You can get a very similar (larger) sandwich at A&G Pizza in Branchville for $4 less. I'm not sure why the consumer would want to pay 30% more for less quality, outside of the fact that there are no other cafes or delis in the immediate area. The Hampton Diner, which is notorious for being expensive (but good quality) has a similar wrap called the California which is also somewhat expensive at $15, so I'd guess that's what Serendipity is basing its prices on. I realize all food prices are inflated right now, but Serendipity should be charging $12 max for its wraps, and based on the size, they're not far off what you're getting from Quick Check at half the price. At the cafeteria near my job, it's $8 for a wrap. I'll still check in from time to time at this cafe, but the prices are pushing me away.
