However for each car they have a printout of their inspection (see photo). The inspection shows what they checked but also more importantly at the bottom it lists what is still wrong with the car. They have a warranty for all cars with less than 80,000 miles. Their sign says "warranty forever." This obviously doesn't apply to everything but they tell you what is included. Their cars over 120,000 miles are as-is. I think from a full disclosure standpoint this place looks great. We probably would have bought a car, if we lived in Tucson. The only problem with the warranty is that you would need to bring the car back for the covered repairs. Definitely worth the look for those looking for used cars.

I had one of the worst experiences imaginable with CarMax. They sold me a Hyundai Sonata Hybrid that ended up having a failing hybrid battery about 6 months after I bought it. The repair cost was at minimum 4k - 6k. Instead of helping resolve the issue or standing behind the vehicle they sold me, I was left completely on my own dealing with a major mechanical failure. Because of the repair costs, fell behind financially, eventually lost the car, and even lost my job because I no longer had reliable transportation. Which of course culminated into me losing my apartment as well. Thankfully in the last year l've managed to turn my life around but am now stuck with a 13k default on my credit report. Which will probably force me to have to take on ridiculous rates if I want a car in the future. CarMax acts like they care about customers until something goes wrong. Then you realize you're just another sale to them. Selling someone a vehicle with a failing hybrid battery and leaving them to deal with the consequences is unacceptable. I would never recommend CarMax to anyone after what happened to me, and hope anyone reading this deviates themselves from creating any kind of sales process with these monsters
