I stopped here for a quick lunch after departing the nearby mall in BayBrook. The noise on a level of 1 to 5 may have been a 2 so very pleasant. Getting in around 12pm was a big plus too, before the crowds. The facility was clean and welcoming. The appetizer arrived first nice and hot, very freshly prepared. This was soon followed by the main course and I do appreciate them having Tofu on the menu as an alternative to different diets. DO NOT GO HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO GET SCAMMED!! i took my mom here to eat since it's been awhile since we ate at pf chang. we ordered the chef's feast because it was a good deal, "3 course meal". at least two people have to order it comes with soup for each person and 1 shared app and a main course for each person. we ordered the hot and sour soup. it came out lukewarm not even hot and so bland. how did it even come out luke warm when it should be hot i don't even understand. the best thing out of the meal would probably be the california roll which isn't even saying anything even though it was falling apart when you tried picking it u. for the mains we got pad thai and broccoli and beef. pad thai came out and the noodles were half cooked so disgusting also no favor at all. beef and broccoli the beef was actually hot while the broccoli was ice cold which threw me off. also too salty. The server also tried to scam us. the receipt came and she charged us the full price main course + up-charge for the chef's feast. Which the chef's feast meal starts at $19.99 + any upcharge for any premium meal you order. When I finally got her attention after 15 minutes I didn't even get to say anything and she said oh sorry i charged you wrong. so she knew what she was doing. we got our refund but if I didn't say anything she would have gotten away with it. Good experience. I came here for lunch and ordered the large chicken lettuce wraps- so good and I love the sauce that comes with it. My friend also ordered the pad thai which was also delicious. Came to find out that they have a half off wine bottle wednesdays- which I will be taking advantage of in the future. Our server was Tyler and she was very nice as well. The ambiance was based off Asia influence , but if you travel you know its an play off Japan Korea and Thailand. It filled with families and couples dining . The noodles were a good temperature and had a nice spiciness level, but it was wet and had some flavor I didn't recognize. I order this dish at a lot of places. The shrimp fried rice was plentiful but had an aftertaste we didn't like. The to go packaging was good, so everything traveled well except the dessert. The food I ordered was good, the service was excellent, but the ambience music was way too loud! And, I ordered a piece of Keylime pie for $5.29 and what they brought me was barely a taste. It was not a piece of pie. It was a small little cup with a squirt of Keylime in it and another little cup that had whipped cream and some kind of crust. This was barely more than a bite! First issue was when our waitress took our glasses for refills and it took her at least 8 minutes till we flagged her down to remind her. Next family that was with us ordered the great wall of china for desert. It came with vanilla ice-cream. I mean it came with pcs of a broken plate. Also got pineapple fried rice on the side which you can never go wrong with. Last time I was here I tried the crab rangoons and they were sub-par. I'm going finally sit down and finish this review as it's been something sitting in my box for over 3 months now and I have very little passion to write about it. Even in terms of chinese-american cuisine, this place falls short. Service is a little on the slow side. Ambience is somewhat romantic with dim lighting with decent cleanliness. The waitress seemed a bit meek and young, which is nothing surprising for these types of establishments in the baybrook mall region (my history as a waiter was no different). What's mostly my gripe about the place? It's expensive. It's expensive and you're getting mediocre food that's passable... but ontop of stale deep fried rice noodles. And they won't stop throwing stuff on top of them either. If it's a staple, it needs to not be stale. I didn't send anything back but I did tell the waiter to inform the chef that this is a problem and continued to dodge the stale "crunchies" they kept delivering out. On the flip side, the waiter did give us a couple scoops of icecream for our troubles. Likely the doors are barely kept open. With so many restaurants popping up around this area, I'm not quite sure how long PFC will last nor would I recommend anybody to come eat at such a lifeless place, but I can see that there's still some potential left. I enjoyed eating here, I absolutely love PF Chang's Mongolian beef, it is my favorite. So of course I got that and I love the fact that you can get brown rice too.
