    Large 8 sweet Vidalia rings

Burgers today for lunch prior to returning home and the 5280 Burger Bar was on the radar. A family sport's hub with more than traditional bar food, multi large screened televisions, and high tops. Healthy options are available. The Connecticut style lobster roll was stuffed with warm lobster meat and a generous helping of melted butter. This selection was a solid! An additional 8 huge and heavily crusted Viadalia sweet onion rings came out piping hot. They were a nice tasty treat. The roasted beet salad with multi colored beets, feta, mixed greens, toasted pepitas, green apple match sticks, and an orange vinegarette was tasty, but over-sauced. The food at 5280 was fine for a family oriented sport's bar. The service was on task and not over-bearing. If you are having a family outing and looking for a nicer venue, give 5280 Burger Bar a chance.

The burger was really good and a bit spicy. However it was smaller than expected. Ryan, my server, was awesome and attentive without giving stalker vibes. I hated the onion rings. They were an inch thick, the coating kept falling off, and they weren't crisp.

5280 Burger was unfortunately a miss for me. I was in town for a work conference and staying nearby, so the location made it an easy walk for dinner. I ordered ahead online and customized "The 5280" burger with a bison patty. The restaurant was easy to find on the lower level of the Denver Pavilions (shopping mall) and pickup was easy, with my food ready by the estimated time provided. That said, the meal itself was disappointing. The bison burger was noticeably lacking in flavor. I also ordered a small side of fries, but those also missed the mark and lacked the crispy texture I was hoping for. The convenience and smooth pickup experience were appreciated, but based on the food, this would not be a spot I would rush back to during my short stay.

My husband and I were in town for my conference and we stumbled upon the 5280 Burger bar. Great service & WONDERFUL food. I had walked in just asking to look at the menu and she asked my name and told me to come back. I told my husband we have to go back(and we did) We were warmly greeted by Ashley again, the general manager; she not only remembered my name, but came over delivered her card & made sure everything was perfect. If you are in downtown Denver, you absolutely have to go here!!!!

This was the best burger and onion rings I've ever had in my life. You could tell everything was fresh and just 10/10. So many burgers but this Wagyu burger was STUNNING. I need the onion rings daily. Service was so friendly and kind. The ambiance was warm and friendly.

There are a few unique things here to know! One, and I'm not sure how long they've been doing this, but they give you a free house drink with the purchase of a movie or show ticket. The Regal cinema is right in this same complex, so that's really nice to get a free drink! Two is, they have ice cream drinks! Kind of a unique thing to find. I don't often go the sweet route for drinks, but I will say, ice cream drinks are very tasty! I haven't had one at this establishment, and I'd have to be in the mood for something like that, but just seeing them on the menu was something worth noting. I have only eaten here once so I don't feel I have enough info to review the food at this point. You can kind of miss the place if you don't walk right by it, being a little bit tucked away on 16th mall.

We decided to try out this burger spot since it's highly rated and had a lot of reviews. We ordered the jalapeños popper burger and what the gauc burger, both were decent burgers. Although, they were specialty burgers - both burgers seem a little underwhelming and just standard burgers. Nothing too exciting. The fries were okay, a bit overcooked. Prices were a little steep for what it was. Service was okay. Our server was nice, but seemed like he didn't want to be there.

This was close to our hotel and was highly rated so we went in. It is a cute place right off the street. They have outdoor seating which is nice. One of the highlights was the I can't decide burger which you can pick 2 different burgers. We actually went back the next day to try something else. I wasn't as impressed at the lunch special which turned out to be one of the can't decide ones. I had the prime burger which unfortunately was way over cooked. The best thing was the stuffed tots. The service was great and we were seated quickly.

On a random afternoon we found ourselves walking through the Pavillion along 16th street. The 5280 is a quaint burger joint tucked away within the shops. There was plenty of seating amd no real lunch rush. Being vegetarian, I was drawn to their Greek falafel burger with hummus and greek spread. To my dismay, they were out of the falafel burgers! But, our waitress asked the kitchen to use the falafel balls in their apps to make a patty... at my suggestion. And they did! Turned out just fine and tasty! The Perfect burger lunch special and a the fried chicken burger were equally delicious! Great customer service and a relaxed atmosphere topped off the afternoon.

Arrived on a Friday around 1:45pm was sat immediate in a high top around the bar area. Was pleased to see the menu prices were actually cheaper than the recent menu photos I was viewing on Yelp before arriving. Disappointed to learn the burgers do not come with any sides. Ordered a large side of fries for $7.99 to split with my partner. They were delicious but wayyy too salty. I order the Baja Colorado burger with the impossible burger for $2 extra. The party was decently burnt but it was a good burger all together. The bathroom was weirdly super dark which was quite creepy. The service was quick and good.

My friend and I were staying nearby and stopped to grab food. It was a nice day so we sat on the patio. I ordered the perfect burger and she got to birria burger. My brother was pretty good but I didn't feel it was amazing. I found myself reaching for the yummy fries more. My friend said her burger was great. We got a large fry to share between us and couldn't finish them. It's a bummer the burgers don't come with fries but overall this was a positive experience. If I could go back I'd try the two jumbo sliders for a chance to try more!

We were craving a burger... This place with the bill! We were a little confused because there are so many 5280 restaurants that are all in the same area but separate. So it was a little confusing... But we found our burger! I got a standard burger, lettuce wrapped, and my husband got a salmon burger also lettuce wrapped. Both were cooked to perfection! The fries were incredible and a side of mac & cheese? Always a must! Our server was super friendly and he joked around a lot. And the vibes of the restaurant were really casual and fun. It would be a fun place to watch a game or hang out with friends!

Ask the Community - 5280 Burger Bar

    Call ahead seating?

    It's first come first serve

The menu says the have "Wagyu" beef for $6 extra? Is it true wagyu?

Not sure what you mean by "true" wagyu. The burger patty is ground so it's not like a super-marbled steak or anything. But I ordered it and it was really good.

Do they still have bison burgers?

Yes. Just ordered one today 10-07-23

    Is the meat halal?

I don't exactly know if the meat was halal, but I would imagine the restaurant would indicate somewhere on the menu, if it was. So I would lean more on saying no.

    Are the wings breaded?

    No they are not

What do you have for Plant Based options?

    Gluten free bun option?

We don’t have a bun but we have a house made gluten-free friendly wrap! It’s delicious.

Are y'all trying to be a five guys?

500x better than Five Guys - not even comparable.

    How is parking?

One can always try for a meter within three blocks of the place. Alternatively, there is a parking garage beneath the Denver pavilions.

Elevated Hospitality: A Masterclass in Event Execution at Tom's Watch Bar…read more I recently organized an event for 120 guests at Tom's Watch Bar in Denver, and the experience was nothing short of spectacular. From the initial contract phase to the final onsite execution, the team proved they are true masters of high-stakes hospitality. The Vision & Planning Working with Joanna during the planning phase was a dream. She is a consummate professional with a sharp eye for detail. She understood exactly how to translate our brand into the space, creating a custom Denver-themed digital design featuring our logo that played across every large screen. The energy it brought to the room was palpable--our Immediate Past President was so impressed she's already requested the same "wow factor" for all our future events. The Spread The catering exceeded all expectations. We opted for a diverse package that catered beautifully to everyone, including our vegetarian and vegan guests. The Savory: The mac & cheese was a crowd favorite, and the chicken tenders were perfectly crispy and moist. The loaded sliders and tater tot bar also kept the energy high throughout the evening. The Sweet: Do not miss the dessert bar. Specifically, there is a peanut butter bar with an incredible internal crunch that is absolutely addictive. The Atmosphere & Entertainment The venue layout is genius. We had a mix of indoor seating for both small and large group discussions, plus an incredible outdoor space with stunning stadium views. We brought in a third-party karaoke vendor, and the staff--Joanna, Zach and Matt--coordinated with them so seamlessly behind the scenes that I didn't have to worry about a single technical detail. Between the karaoke, Jenga, and cornhole, there was never a dull moment. The Service What truly sets this venue apart is the personal touch. Zach and Matt are absolute stars. Knowing I was busy managing the entrance and welcoming guests, they went out of their way to check in on me personally, ensuring I had food and a drink in hand. That level of care for an event organizer is rare and deeply appreciated. If you are looking for a venue that combines a high-energy atmosphere with white-glove professional service, Tom's Watch Bar is the place. Request Joanna, Zach, and Matt--you'll be in the best hands in Denver.

Frankly, the pictures online look a lot better than the place in person but it is still nicely decorated. We only wanted drinks and a smallish snack so we ordered the Smoked Trout Dip and "Bagel Chips." The dip was good (likely mostly made of cream cheese) but the bagel "chips" consisted of three halves of an everything bagel stuck in the dip. The bagel halves were so hard, you could easily chip your teeth on them. Honestly, we should have sent them back but I almost never do that anywhere. We sort of gnawed on them to make them softer and, in fairness, we cleaned the plate. For drinks, we tried a tiki-themed cocktail and a mocktail. Both were good. Our service was good. Parking can be a little difficult in this area but we found metered street parking about a block away. Watch your teeth if you see any bagels on your plate.

It was mostly good, but with room for improvement. Starting with the good, the prime rib dinner was excellent. The rib was juicy and well prepared, the horseradish and au jus were up to the task and the duck-fat fried fries were pretty yummy. The creamed spinach was particularly good. It was a great meal. Our second meal, not so much. We had the lobster roll and pot pie. Even though they advertise the lobster as flown in fresh daily, it had obviously been frozen and indeed our server acknowledged that when we asked. It was OK, but nothing special. Likewise, the pot pie was merely OK. A large cheesy biscuit consumed most of the space in the bowl leaving little room for anything else. We only ate about half of it and sent the rest back. It was an OK meal, but paled in comparison to the prime rib the night before. At the bar one night we had the sticky chicken wings and Ceasar salad. The salad was particularly tasty with a good tangy dressing. The wings were a bit overcooked, but meaty and with a tasty sauce. And as advertised, the wings were really sticky and gooey. One needs to go find a place to wash up when finished. The bar is well stocked so getting your favorite libation is no problem. The food quality notwithstanding, the service was great. We enjoyed several different bar tenders and food servers during our stay and all were pleasant, friendly and good at their jobs. Kudos to them. Also great was the ambiance. The building dates back to the 1800s and oozes charm and character throughout. The bar and restaurant have a nautical theme, which one would not really expect in Denver. I read somewhere that one of the original owners had a model ship collection his wife didn't want in the house so it ended up in the restaurant. Nevertheless, it works. The walls are paneled in dark wood and the heavy tiled floors create a warm and comfortable environment. Overall, we loved the place and would happily return the next time we visit Denver. The bar was a friendly place, the drinks were good, the people were nice and our stay was pleasant.
