However, they have a plan for that called you can't make up your mind which allows you to choose two burgers and get them as quarter pounders instead of the one half pounder. Happy Hour and Dinner Review! Happy hour is 3-6PM Monday to Fridays. Includes BOGO beers and some apps! We got beers and nachos to start. Burgers were so good! Patties were juicy with great flavor. We got the Durango Burger and the Perfect Burger. The Perfect Burger... just like it's name was perfect! Good ratio of ingredients and perfect in every bite. The Durango Burger was good, but it was messy and slippery. The roasted pepper and toppings would keep sliding out so you could never get a bite of everything all at once. Onion rings were okay. Loved this spot. After hanging out in Downtown Denver this past weekend, I pasted by this spot at least 3 times. Finally stopped in. It didn't disappoint! Lots to pick from on this menu. We were greeted by the staff. She took our order, I ordered the steak nachos, which were amazing! My buddy ordered the chicken wings/ Bar-B-Q and buffalo.... The buffalo was quite spicy, and I love spicy! As you can see, this is a nice little spot! Right around the corner, from the main 16th street, and nice coffee shops. Loved the environment . I'm not going to bury the lead here... this place had one of the best burgers I've had in quite some time. This location can be hard to find. It's on the ground floor of a mall area, but can be easy to miss if you don't know where you are looking. They do have outdoor seating. They do have paper menus, but encourage customers to scan the QR code and view the menu online. Now for the food... it was great. I got the Boss Hog burger. It was fantastic. It had cheese, BBQ sauce, pulled pork on top of their burger. It sounds simple, but I've never had one taste that good. We also got an order of loaded fries to split - cheese that was similar to beer cheese as well as sour cream and bacon bits. These were very good as well, and we were not able to finish them. Went here for the first time this evening to try their Westwood burger week special. We had looked at all the restaurants participating in the $7 burger special and this one had the most interesting burger. It's 5280's Perfect Burger, and it lived up to its name. It is a angus beef patty with Gruyère cheese, pickled red onions, lettuce and roasted garlic aioli. The other ingredient, which gave the burger a fantastic taste, was their bacon onion jam, which added just the right amount of sweetness and a kick that totally raised the bar on this burger. The burger was also cooked exactly as we I ordered at medium rare. This burger, truly was perfect. We also had the shot a Bulleit whiskey which was a combo offered with the burger for $15. The shot was just a drop of whiskey, and was not worth the extra $8. We also split a basket of fries, which were homemade and worth the extra calories. The service was outstanding, and the ambience of the restaurant is nice and casual, with a couple big tv's. There is also an ice cream counter at the entrance to the restaurant, which looked wonderful, but we were too full from our burgers and fries. Their menu looks great with lots of burger and chicken sandwich combos. You can also sub an impossible burger, wagyu beef or bison. I've walked passed 5280 Burger Bar a countless number of times and recently got the chance to stop in before work. I have come to the conclusion that it was good, but nothing spectacular. We thought, hey, it won't be that busy at 3:30. HA, we couldn't be more wrong. It was busy, but thankfully we got a table right away. The service was quick and everyone was friendly. The Durango burger was what stood out to me on the menu. Sadly, it fell flat. The burger was dry and the roasted red peppers and jalapeno cream cheese didn't have much flavor. Also, the burger comes alone so the sides are a la carte. The mac and cheese is awesome and the fries are well seasoned. I agree with some of the others that this place can feel hidden if you don't know what you're looking for. My GPS kept putting me outside of another restaurant, so make sure you walk into the actual mall area, bottom floor. I chose here because the menu was intriguing to me... any time I have to leave it to the waiter/waitress to make the game time decision, I think it's worth a shot. I ordered the shishito peppers, which were really good! They also came in a solid portion size that I wouldn't say is common elsewhere. The next best thing about my meal was my cocktail... I believe it was called Take It Easy. I'd go back just for that. Now the burger, don't get me wrong, it was good and definitely sizable. The patty itself just wasn't anything special and was rather underwhelming. The bacon onion jam on the other hand... YUM! Without that the burger likely wouldn't have been worth it. (The meat is cooked perfectly medium though!) I'd probably go more 3.5 in a rating rather than a 3 if that were the option, but I don't feel it's a 4. Really nice time sitting at the bar here with on a week day! Definitely a large space with lots of room and I love the modern decor. Just coming here with my friend, we were able to sit at the bar and loved the menu of both drinks and of burgers. The bartender was SUPER nice and was beyond stellar service. While the only one working, felt right at home and had our drinks refilled as much as we needed. I am a big believer in burger places having options for those of us who don't eat a lot of red meat and focus on some plant based options and I adored the impossible burger they had here. Perfectly cooked on a beautiful bun with crisp pickle and delicious cheese. I was also very happy with the roasted Brussels sprouts. Not only did they suggest this place, but they also gave us a free drink voucher for everyone in my group. After a day of flying and a little bit of sight seeing, we came here for our first meal. My group walked, but I decided to couple up and take a nice buggy ride over and enjoy the scenery. 5280 is located in the Denver Pavilions, a really nice outdoors shopping area in downtown. We were seated immediately in a back area away from the crowds. Service was great but a little slow. No biggie on vacay! I used my drink voucher for a local beer called Fluffy Bunny. It was nice, sippable porter with toasted marshmallow and peanut butter notes. We got a couple of apps to share. We got the fried pickles and the chips and dips trio. For my entrée I went with The I Can't Decide which gave me the choice of two sliders and fries. I went with The Ring of Fire and Sheko's Fried Chicken Sandwich. Both were really tasty and it was hard to finish. One could have been enough to fill a smaller size person up. I couldn't finish as I focused more on the fries. Our whole table agreed how delicious these fries were. So good, we got some to take back to the hotel. We were too full to try the ice cream or shakes, but they looked delicious. Talk about accommodating us in a bind. We had 18 of us on a Sunday and some of the team and families wanted to get together before our tournament. My husband and I walked over to make a reservation (that was our 2nd stop) and they got us in at noon. We get there and we're seated right away. This was definitely not their first rodeo dealing with a huge team group. From ordering to the girls getting free ice cream at their ice cream shop, we had smiles all around the tables. The girls got to sit at their own table and the adults at the other. They had many options to choose from, even for our vegan friends. Our food was delicious and we finished everything. Stopped in here Friday night 12/7/24 with my wife and twin boys who are 8, we were greeted and seated by a table by the window. Our server came and took our drink orders, we ordered a sprite for our one son and our other son wanted a water, I ordered the Pilsner and my wife had water also. The drinks were delivered and we ordered an appetizer and our entrees, we got the chips and queso, our sons ordered the Mac n cheese and a cheese burger, my wife ordered the the Ahi Tuna sandwich extra seared and I had the French dip. When our appetizer came we were a little disappointed for $10 we thought we would get warm chips and more than what we got, it was a very underwhelming appetizer. Anyways then a server or expediter brought a couple entrees that were not ours but were for the table next to us. When our entrees came out my wife's Tuna sandwich was not extra seared as it was practically raw and way over seasoned, the pepper overpowered her dish. My French dip was good and both our son's entrees were good. Our server never asked if we needed refills and never checked back with us. We asked for our bill and it's extremely unprofessional when they ring your bill up and it is done on a tablet and automatically shows 20% tip, I worked as a server in the food and beverage industry for many years and it's sad that servers think they should receive a good tip when the service is lacking and the food was not done to our liking. I get that it's a busy place, but you need to be able to handle the amount of tables and give each table good service. Hopefully the next time things will be better, but I doubt we will be eating here again. read more

So many choices! The burgers are very big, they don't come with a side, so share fries if you want. Not everyone has to get a side, they are also big. If you want to try a few get the "I Can't Decide" it's 2 sliders of any choice. The sliders are like the size of a regular burger. The meat is very flavorful, the fries are double fried which I like. Wow. This place was absolutely delicious! I wanted to try one if their burgers but I chose a spicy honey sandwhich and the shishito peppers. I opted for no fries to cut down on the calories. The chicken sandwich was perfectly fried, and the honey was served on the side as I'd asked. The shishito peppers portion was generous; they were succulent and flavorful. My server was so polite and sweet. He answered all my questions and checked on me without being annoying. I had a pear cider, and the meal was so good, I went back a second time the next day and ordered the same thing, but with a margarita. There is metered street parking and garages nearby, but you will have to walk a bit because 16th Street is closed off to traffic, but remember the free buses. Everything there is homemade and fresh. They have a menu featuring some signature burgers. I decided to go with the burger and fries. It did not take long to prepare my meal. It was decent. It was not the best burger that I had, but it was good. The fries were good too, but we Luke warm. They have full bar service with some signature cocktails. I have visited many restaurants in downtown Denver, but this is the first time I've encountered such poor staff training at a restaurant. My pickup order was scheduled for 12:27, but I arrived early (at 12:10) and found there was NO staff at the pickup area. I then approached an employee at the bar area (right next to the pickup space, near the entrance) and provided my pickup order details. The employee told me to wait because my order wasn't ready yet. I waited, but after 30 minutes, I still hadn't heard anything, so at 12:40, I asked that employee what was going on. They told me to ask the manager. I spoke with the manager (who initially said his name was Andrew, but later changed it to Anderson), and he told me that a burger had been sitting out at the pickup space for a while and handed me a COLD burger. I expressed my frustration after waiting for 30 minutes, explaining that I had spoken with an employee and waited. The manager then told me that the pickup staff was the one responsible for the pickup area and would be there from 12:30 onward. If the pickup order was set for 12:27, and there was NO ONE at the pickup area, isn't it reasonable to approach the staff at the entrance for assistance? The manager even claimed that the mistake was mine for not waiting at the pickup area and tried to show me the pickup staff's schedule, which was completely baffling. It's unbelievable that a restaurant could have such poorly trained staff. I hope the owner reads this and provides proper training to the staff. I also hope that people in downtown who read this review consider it before choosing this restaurant. read more

So was in Denver yet again for business. I wanted a burger so I found this spot on Yelp. Called to make sure reservations weren't required and I headed on down. When I first walked in...I was torn because they have an ice cream shop at the entrance. Surely (as I told myself) I could have dessert before dinner. (It's a trap I tell ya!) Now Jess was vibrant funny and showing a few dance moves (of course in her personal space) as the 90's workout playlist was bumping on the speakers above. I went with the IPA Experiment #17 by the Joyride Brewing company. As soon as Jess returned with my refreshing beverage, she recommended the "Mile High Cuban" and I added a half order of Onion Rings and a half order of Truffle Fries (Don't Judge Me! ) Now if you are greedy like me, this is the burger for you. We decided to sit at the bar which only had about 8 chairs around it to respect social distancing. They didn't give us menus but have us cards with QR codes on them. My boyfriend and I ordered the "I can't decide" which comes with your choice of two burgers, and we ordered the truffle fries with it and shared everything. This meal was delicious.
