I was so excited to try this place! I love yunnan style noodles. I ordered the pickled fish noodle and hubby ordered the pork bone noodle soup that was what they were known for. We ordered a side of chicken and choy. The fish noodle soup was flavorful compared to the original pork bone noodle soup. Tbh, the pork bone soup needed lots of flavor. We had to add a bunch of salt and white pepper and it still wasn't as flavorful. The side of chicken was also bland. Sigh... I really had high hopes for this place! Maybe we ordered the wrong items? I'm not sure - everyone seemed to have ordered the big pot pork bone noodle soup. The presentation was beautiful and eye catching, with great service. If only the food had more flavor!

The restaurant specializes in Yunnan noodles. Their noodles are freshly made, soft, chewy and long. The broth is delicious with the correct amount of seasoning. Both are serverd temperature hot. It's a self serve restaurant. You order then you wait at your table for the food to come. Price is based on the broth and noodle bowl size you want. If you want anything else like vegetables, meats, quail eggs, etc. there is an additonal cost, which can add up. There is a station where you can help yourself to water, condiments and sauces. The downside is that most people use their hands to grab things at the condiment station and use their fingers to taste the sauce. Seeing this discouraged me from adding anything to what I ordered. People were also spilling sauces and water onto the floor. That area is disastrous and unclean.

Located in Downtown Palo Alto, parking is plentiful and easy to find as there are a lot of parking garages. The interior is spacious and has a good amount of seating. Ordering is done on your phone via a QR code. Shredded Chicken Miishien (rice Noodle) Soup (5/5): very yummy. Flavor was so delicious and the noodles were soft and so slurpable. The meat was tender and juicy. Overall, 575 Miishien has some delicious food. Service is good and food comes out quickly. There's also a nice little condiment/spice station to give your food that extra oomph.

All I can say is WOW! I had the Snakehead Fish Slices (rice noodle) with Golden Soup, and some Wood Ear Mushrooms and Cucumber side dishes. The soup was absolutely delicious. I asked for the soup to be spicy and it was just the right level. Overall, everything was great and I will return.

I probably should not admit publicly how many times I've been here since their relatively recent opening. Appetizers - they're all delicious! I get the spicy pig ears every time which are a little spicy, a little sweet, and nice and crunchy. The spicy braised beef miishien soup is my favorite menu item. The beef is tender and the spice level is just right for me (I prefer spicy). The snakehead fish slices with golden soup is good too, but the flavor is more subtle than other restaurants. It's a nice option if you like fish. On weekdays, kids eat free! Even though I kept telling them that I only need a small portion, they insisted on giving me a full kids meal. When my son was fussy, they brought him toys. They even provide scissors to cut up kids food. I love how family friendly this spot is. Overall, I find the value to be good. You can get free noodle refills and the free kids meal (or $11 when not free) means you don't have to stress out about ordering extra non spicy food for the kids if you prefer spicy. One day, I'll splurge for the Wagyu which always looks quite aesthetic with the neighboring tables get it!

I commend the owner for letting his personality shine through. So many of the decisions about the interior decor are inscrutable to me, but the avant garde Chinese art certainly gives one much to take in while waiting for the food to arrive (which does not take long). I am also touched by his desire to commemorate the US airmen who lent their support to the liberation of China during the darkest days of the Second World War, a story that I feel is too little remarked upon. The noodles are pricey but good. I especially enjoyed the fish filets in golden soup, which was equal parts umami and refreshing, without being overpowering. The pig ears were perhaps overly doused in barbecue powder.

A Bowl of History and One of the Best Broths in the Bay I finally made it to 575 Miishien, and it immediately made me question why I waited this long. This is not just a meal, it is a concept executed with precision. I ordered the Golden Soup Snakehead Fish Rice Noodle, and it has been stuck in my head since. The broth is the centerpiece. It is layered, deeply developed, and balanced with that signature Yunnan sour-spicy profile. It is bright without being sharp and rich without feeling heavy. The snakehead fish is notably fresh, clean, and tender. It is handled properly and lets the ingredient speak for itself. The rice noodles have that ideal silky texture that carries the broth without getting lost in it. This is a bowl built with intent. What stands out is not just flavor, it is clarity of identity. You can feel the throughline from Yunnan tradition to execution on the table. The 575 concept, five rice noodles, five wheat noodles, seven signature dishes, is not just branding. It reflects structured thinking around the menu, and that discipline shows in the final product. The ordering flow from QR to checkout is seamless. The staff is engaged and understands the product, not just repeating a script. The space is bold, with high ceilings, a statement chandelier, and strong color identity. It is designed to signal confidence, and the food supports it. Founder Jiefu Wang ties the brand to a deeper narrative rooted in Yunnan and the Flying Tigers story. Whether you know the history or not, the intent is clear. This is positioned as more than just a regional noodle shop. The social component is also real. Every three bowls fund a meal for a child in need, with over thirty thousand meals donated and ongoing school support in Yunnan. That alignment between product and mission adds real weight to the experience. This is one of the most complete Yunnan noodle executions in the Bay Area right now. Not just because it tastes good, but because the product is dialed, the system is clear, and the brand has conviction. Remember the tiger logo.

This location has a lot more tables compared to their other locations. It feels pretty spacious because of how high the ceiling is, but the tables are actually very close to each other. It was almost like I was sharing the same table as them because I could hear the conversation on both side loud and clear. In terms of food, I would say the premixed options taste better. I tried the signature one with Wagyu for the first time, and it was a bit bland so I'm assuming this is the reason why they had the condiment station (so you can adjust the broth to your liking). As for the price, it feels like it's been Palo Alto-taxed because I don't remember their noodle being that expensive. Service was nice and good though.

Love the ambiance of this new spot--it's very spacious inside with pretty decor (indoor seating only). They use a machine to make their own rice noodles! The fish noodle soup is fantastic; the broth has the perfect amount of spice, and the fish is so smooth and moist. The beef soup flavor was a little different than expected and the beef was slightly tough, but the fresh noodles were great. Service was excellent and very attentive, with plenty of staff working the floor. Highly recommend trying the fish noodle soup!

My first visit to the Palo Alto location was a pleasant surprise. I walked in just before lunch closing time because the beautiful interior caught my attention. The place feels more like a museum than a restaurant. The Golden Triangle Soldiers Miishien was excellent. It came with a variety of delicious ingredients, many of which I couldn't even name, but everything worked beautifully together. The dish was flavorful, aromatic, and not overly heavy. I especially loved the unique chili flavor. I also had a chance to chat with the owner and learned that many of the decorations are real collectibles. One of them is a 100+ year-old ship board decorated with 575 horseshoes, symbolizing endurance and a long journey ahead. As I was leaving, I saw the owner kneeling on the floor fixing something himself. That small detail said a lot about the care and dedication behind this place. Definitely worth a visit, and I'll be back.

Came here with my girlfriend on soft opening day. You order by scanning a QR code, as is common at most modern Chinese restaurants. We shared a fried stuffed tofu appetizer and a signature wagyu miishien soup. The tofu was lightly crispy outside with a delicate interior and came with a dry chili dip. The miishien was beautifully presented, with raw ingredients such as sliced beef, spinach, leek, fungus, corn, and quail egg in a tray, and a large bowl of soup. The rice noodles came on the side, and you can request an extra serving for free. The broth was mildly flavored but rich with umami. The toppings were fresh, and the broth was just the right temperature to cook them without being overdone.

What a fun restaurant! I've had dinner and take out from 575 Miishien multiple times, and it's always a great experience. During the opening, the chefs would personally come out to explain the dishes and their favorite garnishes. All the staff were friendly, and the food was great! I particularly like their chicken noodle soup, although the beef noodle soup is great as well. They have an excellent pickled vegetable side which is great with any of their noodle soups! The decor is certainly interesting, and there's a lot going on in a relatively small space, but it feels quite large because of the high ceiling. The tables are pretty close together, so you hear your neighbors and they hear you. So it's not great for an intimate night out, but it's nice enough for a date night. Certainly recommend checking out their Palo Alto location, although the prices at their San Jose spot are slightly cheaper.

was excited to see them preparing to open on University, but it took a long time. And I got biased seeing the owner (assumed) showing off his luxury cars (covered in the store logo, except one, a BMW convertible) "Crossing bridge rice noodles" is a famous and popular dish in Yunnan province, China. Over there, servers bring a bowl of boiling hot bone stock and toss the ingredients(noodles, condiments, meats, etc.) symbolizing the bridge. I felt the owner could at least train his staff about the origins of this dish to make it more interesting than simply a curious name like 575 Mishien. The servers here simply brings the bowl and condiments to you and suggest that we put the meat in first to allow it to cook, then the noodles and other condiments. I thought it was fairly tasty, but wouldn't come back again. The restaurant is nicely decorated. They even have a replica of a "prayer drum" out in front, which Tibetan buddist temples have. But this one is much too heavy to turn with your hand and there are nothing written to educate the customers or passersby.

Reservation was easy to make over the phone and you have to preorder duck ahead of time. We also got pan fried buns, bok choy, and mandarin fish. Dishes are expensive but good quality. I read mixed reviews about the duck but I thought it was great - crispy skin and relatively tender/juicy meat. It is the first time I've seen an extra charge for the duck pancake wrappers; it was not a pleasant surprise but at least they were thin and delicious. We opted to have a soup made from the leftover duck and that was delicious. Service was also pretty good; they even packaged the leftovers for us. Unfortunately, it just wasn't as good overall as the Belmont spot. The space itself is older, and the seating feels pretty tight and not as comfortable. As for the food, we ordered the Peking duck, which came with a lot of meat, but the duck itself didn't taste fresh at all. It had that distinct, stale "old meat" taste to it, and the texture was completely off and mushy rather than having a nice, fresh bite. The xiao long bao missed the mark too--the wrappers were too thick and the filling wasn't nearly as savory or delicious as what we're used to. Even the basic steamed rice tasted like a cheaper, lower-quality grain. For the other dishes, the stir-fried scallion lamb was way too salty, even though we specifically asked them to go light on the salt, and it lacked that deep umami flavor they get so right at the other location. On the bright side, the Treasure's signature beef honeycomb tripe was actually really good, though the spice level is definitely on the higher side so beware if you're sensitive to heat. For dessert, I finished with the sesame glutinous rice balls in sweet rice wine because it's one of my absolute favorites, but it fell short since there was barely any wine or osmanthus flavor. The service was also pretty lacking throughout the night. They didn't even bother to clear our dirty dinner plates off the tight table after we ordered our dessert, so everything was incredibly cramped. They also completely ignored the rest of our Peking duck instead of proactively asking what we wanted to do with the carcass bones and the remaining meat. We had to specifically flag them down ourselves to ask about it and explain what we wanted done with it, which should really be standard practice for a proper duck service. Compared to the sister restaurant, the execution, environment, and service here just aren't quite there yet.
