HPR just celebrated their 10 year anniversary and we are one of their long-term clients who have been there the entire time! Not only is there daycare available starting at 6am, which is phenomenal for those of us who start their day early, but also birthday pawtys, boarding, grooming, and training. My dogs have done it all and they get so excited when it's time to play!! Daycare packages offer financial savings, and they also have rewards that are basically converted into cash towards purchases. The staff can be contacted via text or email. If a phone call is needed, I can reach out or sometimes the groomer will call with questions. Highly recommend to give Henderson Pet Resort a try! Easy drop off and pick up with short-term parking up front. The staff can also help bring the dogs in and out, if needed. Behavioral evaluation is a first step, plus shot records; ask the front desk for more info. But once a customer, it's easy to upload most recent shot records to the files.

I trained seeing eye dogs for the blind, so my dog is well trained. Starts with them saying they will call me after her evaluation. They don't. I had to reach out to them. When I asked how peeps did, they said she was timid. Which is fine. They hve webcams. So I checked them, peeps was sitting by the door with 25+ other dogs and had zero interaction with humans the entire time I watched. They just had a lady come to clean up after the babies when they went potty. Not ok if you ask me. But I said it was just for the day. I checked the cams 4 times. Same thing everytime. Was 5 min late. They text 6 min before I arrived and said they were going to keep her overnight. I'm not from this town and said absolutely not and had to bribe them to let me pick her up. When I got there, they had lost her bowls. She only drinks a ceramic bowls, not metal ones and I looked in her bag to notice. They had not fed her at all. Her wet food was untouched. So I am going to assume they didn't feed her cause she was starving. She's too scared to drink out of metal bowls. I specified that she needs her own bowls or won't eat and drink. so I don't think she was given water or food the entire day. I am overly disturbed by this careless action. They said it had never happened before. But somehow I don't believe it. Not sure how they are still in buisness. Here is a text from them after I left being fucking livid. Idiots. Do not take your buisness here.

5 Stars - Thank You, Stephy!…read more My boyfriend and I were shopping around for a good dog trainer for our pitbull puppy when we came across BarxParx and found Stephy--and we're so glad we did! Stephy is absolutely amazing at what she does. She's incredibly knowledgeable in her field and made the entire experience both fun and educational. Over the course of six weeks, we saw such a positive transformation in our puppy, Moose. The group class was small and intimate, which made it easy for both of us to be involved in the training process. What we really appreciated is that Stephy wasn't just training our puppy she was also teaching us about puppy behavior, communication, and how to be better dog parents. She was so patient with us (and Moose!) every step of the way. Moose genuinely looked forward to going to class every week, which says a lot. Thank you so much, Stephy, for everything. You've helped us lay the foundation for a well-behaved, happy pup, and we couldn't be more grateful!

But with Dr. B's guidance and the help of her absolutely amazing team we got Bruno on a medication regimen and quickly got his pain under control. The staff does an incredible job caring for and watching over our dogs--they truly take pride in what they do. We've tried other doggie daycares in the past, and this one has been by far the best. Our pups are naturally very nervous and not big fans of people, but the team here has consistently gone above and beyond to build trust with them. Because of that patience and care, our dogs now look forward to their camp days, and we love being able to see them playing on the cameras. I feel completely comfortable recommending this place as a safe and caring environment for your pup. I know how difficult it can be to leave your babies in someone else's care, and this team truly puts our minds at ease. We genuinely enjoy this place and will continue to use their services.

I'm a bit iffy on this place. Why? So I have been to a few of the daycares around town. There's a…read moreparticular style of daycare that I don't find to be very stimulating for dogs and this place kind of fits that format. While it is convenient for me, when I watch the cameras, it looks like the dogs are just wandering around like zombies. Usually other daycares have more interaction with staff. There's maybe one staff member to like 15 or 20 dogs. The other thing is I'm not entirely sure they actually understand dog behavior. Because a lot of the dogs are restless and have zero structure, they don't have great socializing manners. My dog is an intelligent breed who will correct dogs who are rude or in his face and it gets tiring for him if he's doing that more than the staff. So when they told me that they had put him away because he was air nipping at dogs, that was strange. I've never had a report of him having behavior issues. Now if they had told me he seemed tired and needed to be to decompressed, that's fine. Maybe it was the staff's wording. And why she needed to report it to me I don't know because that's just a normal part of daycare and dog behavior. So after reading the reviews I did see instances in which dogs that are being aggressive to begin with or annoying aren't being corrected and then when the dog goes to correct them, which is dog etiquette, the dog who asserts boundaries to protect themselves gets punished? That to me shows a lack of understanding about dog behavior. I've watched the webcams at other daycares, and staff know how to separate dogs or to keep things from escalating and know when it's appropriate to put a dog away in a crate for a little time without making the dog feel bad or without making the owner think there's some big issue. I'm trying to gauge whether he actually likes going here. He comes home tired but not looking happy. And whenever we go there in the morning, he tends to whine, which he doesn't do at the other locations we've been. So this one will probably start getting rotated out of his daycare choices for the week. But on the positive side, I do like that they have a little events for the dogs or special treats and get your permission. I just don't feel very confident that it's anything more than just like a room full of dogs all walking around in circles. Like at least interact with them a little bit? Maybe add another counselor or two per group? Make me feel like everybody is taking classes about dog behavior and understand different dog breeds and how dogs are meant to interact? Also the webcam never seems to work very well. I'll watch on the phone or don't even try to watch on the laptop and it goes in and out but at least they have a webcam because barx parx doesn't. And there may be people and dogs who love this place or love the locations in other parts of Las Vegas but for intelligent breeds, I just don't think this place is very stimulating or matches well with his needs. Maybe this is just what happens when you take a bunch of dogs regardless of personality and throw them in together. Dogs have different play styles and some dogs are annoying to other dogs. But here, it just feels like a major free-for-all. The staff are mostly friendly, but maybe also communicating different things to the dog owners in a different way would have probably avoided me feeling less confident about this place because now I'm worried about who my dog is with during the day. If you don't know dogs, that's kind of concerning.... And I'm not seeing anything in my experience or my dog's reactions or through the webcam that makes me feel confident... And with that many dogs per one counselor, I can see where it would be easy for a dog to get hurt.
